5th Zone, City-A

After a short celebration, everyone went inside the city. The guards and captains were the happiest people. They had been worried that the city would fall this time.

The city had faced so much damage the previous time. They were really happy after hearing from Governor Martin.

Jeremy followed the crowd and entered the city. He wanted to find a cab. But lots of people had surrounded the cabs.

In this situation, he had to wait. But he thought for a few seconds and decided to walk along the footpath.

While walking, he started observing the sky towers and the buildings. It felt unreal. They were in a life-or-death duel one hour ago. Now, everything had changed.

It was because of the Lords from the Human Alliance. They were Tier-9 Beast Tamers. To think they had such strength. They could basically decide the fate of the human zones.

Jeremy shook his head. Such strength was unattainable for him right now. But he thought it would just be a matter of time.

Buzz!

Suddenly, he felt the unknown beast egg inside his mental zone shaking a little bit. It felt his mood as well.

Jeremy smiled. For others, it might be difficult. But he had the unknown beast. It had a powerful bloodline.

He believed it won't be a problem for him to break the shackles of the Tier-8 Beast Tamer limit in the future.

By following the footpath, he reached his destination several minutes later. He crossed the road and walked up to the main gate.

There were guards standing outside. They recognized him. They nodded to him before opening the main gate.

Jeremy walked through the gate and went to the main building. When he got there, he saw the crowd. There was a commotion and noise.

Everyone looked battered and bruised. They had come from the wilderness. Jeremy entered the lobby. He could tell the pressure on the clinic room.

He swept his gaze across the place. He was looking for someone. The person was not here. So, he went to his room instead.

After reaching the place, he entered inside and shut the door. He was going to sleep for a few hours. Only then could he be totally free.

...

Wilderness

The Five Lords were at different parts of the border. They had scanned the whole wilderness and found some clues.

They knew from which directions the corrupted beasts had entered. So, they were checking the exact area of the border.

The five old people were knowledgeable. They had faced these types of situations before.

They quickly understood that the Tier-9 Beast threatening the city was a poison-type corrupted beast.

They knew they had to be careful.

As time passed, they searched the border area to find some clues. But they failed. They even tried to sense the Tier-9 Beast hiding in the unexplored region.

They still couldn't find it. Unless they entered the unexplored region to explore. The decision had to be taken seriously.

Even the Tier-9 Beast Tamers knew the threat of the unexplored region. The five of them gathered once again. They looked at each other's faces.

"What's going on?"

"There is no sign of the Tier-9 Beast. How could it hide so easily?" one of the three old men asked.

"Could it be a Colossal beast?" the second old man asked.

"Impossible. A Colossal Beast can be easily spotted. How can they hide their size?" the third old man said.

The old woman remained silent.

"The Tier-9 Beast used a long-range ability to attack. It didn't even enter the wilderness," the old lady with the healing ability said.

Hearing that, the others understood the gravity of the situation. A beast with a long-range ability is difficult to handle.

They can attack the city from a distance.

"What do we do now?" the first elder asked.

"We should enter the unexplored area to find the beast. There is no other way. One of us can stay behind," the old woman said.

Hearing that, the others gave it a thought. Obviously, they couldn't leave the city unprotected.

After the discussion, they decided to let the old lady with the healing ability stay behind.

The rest of them would look for the Tier-9 Beast. With the help of their lifeline beasts, the search would be done quicker.

There was one more reason. They had come here as a group. Even if any unforeseen situation occurred, they could help each other out.

Swoosh!

Then, they each picked a direction and crossed the border. They entered the unexplored region.

The old lady with the healing ability watched their disappearing backs. She didn't know why, but she thought things were not that simple.

Usually, corrupted beasts are confrontational. Even if they have intellect, they like a challenge the most.

She had never heard of any Tier-9 beast being this decisive. She then collected her thoughts and went to the city gate.

She was going to stay in the governor's office. If the Tier-9 beast were to appear next, she would know immediately.

Swoosh!

She reached the city gate in a flash and flew over it. She then saw the two Governors.

They immediately rushed towards her.

"Lord," Martin uttered.

"Take me to the office," she said.

Hearing that, Martin and Orion acted. They started moving forward.

She followed them from behind.

The other Beast Taming Heads stayed behind. They couldn't follow without permission. There could be some serious discussions next.

But they were glad that the Tier-8 Beast Tamers were saved from the poison. There was no threat to their lives anymore. They could fight as usual again.

Among them, Head Harold was there. He scanned the city gate with mental power. He didn't find Jeremy Night.

He thought the young man had gone back to the organization. But he couldn't leave just like that. They didn't know what was going on.

The lords had come, but they might need assistance if higher-tier beasts were to enter the wilderness again.

There were countless beasts roaming in the unexplored area. The natural energy environment there was high.

That's why most beasts disliked the current location. It also saved them from attacks. Yet, there were still one or two powerful beasts that caused beast tides often each year.
