Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1698: Three Major Powers
People were startled when they saw a massive whale flying in the air. Kun was flying so high, making him look smaller than his true size.
But it couldn’t be helped. Even Koraxa never expected Nathan to have a familiar of this size.
"My lord. I have been meaning to ask this, but it’s fine if you don’t answer. Why are your familiars... looking like beasts? Aren’t we supposed to summon humanoid familiars?"
"He’s just built different." Evelyn was the one answering him.
"Oh!" Koraxa accepted it easily.
Nathan chuckled and shook his head helplessly, but he didn’t correct her, not because he was arrogant, but because there was no time to do it.
"We’ve found a village."
"!!!" Everyone turned serious.
"Let’s go!" Nathan snapped his fingers, activating the teleportation ability. He also covered himself with a mask to hide his face, not wanting to tell the people that he came from a different continent yet.
As soon as they reached the village, Kun disappeared from the sky.
They ran toward the village as if they were rushing.
The moment Nathan saw a person in the village, he immediately shifted his direction, trying to reach him.
The guy, who looked like a fisherman, was startled at first.
"Hey, where is this?" Nathan panted heavily.
"T-This... Who are you?" The fisherman was confused. This was the first time he had seen a group like this, especially with them carrying an unconscious girl.
"We don’t have time. We need a place to stay, or if there’s anyone with enough authority..." Nathan shook his head and took a glance at the unconscious Bianca.
The fisherman misunderstood him, thinking that Nathan was bringing a very important person. Then again, riding such a massive whale was something he had never seen before.
Offending a summoner was not a good idea, so he immediately said, "Y-Yes. How about coming to my house first? I’ll ask the village chief."
"No. Take us directly to the village chief."
"I-I understand!" The fisherman hurriedly guided them to the biggest house in the area. From what he saw, many people were starving. Despite living on fish, they were thin. Some of them were so thin that their bones could be seen.
Nathan didn’t ask unnecessary questions so that he wouldn’t give away any information.
Eventually, they reached the house, and the fisherman immediately banged on the door and explained the situation. The village chief was an elderly man in his sixties.
He was already weak enough, and his condition was even worse without any food.
Still, the village chief invited them in. He tried to boil water and gave them porridge.
"This is our humble village. I hope you don’t mind all this, because this is the only thing we’ve left."
Nathan felt bad that they had to take something from them. But without knowing how they used their power, Nathan didn’t show his storage first.
"Village Chief. I’m sorry, but I’d like to know where we are first. We have to escape from all those aliens, so we don’t exactly know where we are right now."
"Of course." The village chief nodded with a serious expression. "This is Blue Moon Village."
"Blue Moon Village?"
"Yes. This village is under the Republic of Eterena."
"Can you somehow give us the exact location?" Nathan asked. He was quite curious. Gratzel adopted the monarchy system. The same applied to Erendtall with the dynasty and the empire.
Qion, on the other hand, had a republic, meaning they adopted democracy.
The village chief stood up and took out the best map he had and pointed to their location. The map showed the entirety of Qion. He could see that this place actually had three main powers.
Qion was a continent that stretched wide to the sides. Considering their location in the Southern Hemisphere, the humans seemed to be living on the northern side, where they got warmer temperatures.
The aliens had to endure the chilling temperature, which might be the main reason why the people here managed to maintain the balance.
There were three main forces in Qion. On the east, he could see a name. Frenitrity Federation.
Their current location seemed to be in the middle, belonging to the republic.
Last but not least, the Televenica Kingdom. It looked like the last one followed a monarchy system. Either way, he wasn’t here to focus on their systems. He might want to keep the balance, but he needed to find out the information about their cities.
He might have no choice but to find a way to link up with the leaders of each country to get this information.
Since he had figured out what he should do, Nathan immediately took out some food.
"!!!" The village chief was startled. "What?"
"Village Chief. We’re grateful for this information. Do you perhaps know where the Federation is located? We need to bring her to the leader." Nathan lied, but it looked like he had succeeded.
Thanks to the food as well as Bianca, who remained unconscious, the village chief pointed to a certain spot. "I don’t know the exact location, but it should be around here."
"Understood. Thank you for the information, Village Chief." Nathan nodded. "Please receive all this as our thanks. We’ll have to head there immediately."
"Y-Yes. Thank you very much, esteemed Battle Master." The Village Chief lowered his head.
Nathan couldn’t help but notice what he said. Although it was important to know what it meant, he could get that information once he reached the Federation anyway.
Nathan stood up and nodded to the others, signaling that they should leave. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Evelyn gestured for him to ask about the Battle Master, but Nathan simply shook his head. He planned to have a good place to take care of Bianca first. Besides, he chose the Federation this time because of its structure.
Since Nathan had made a decision, Evelyn didn’t argue further.
The village chief politely saw him off, realizing that he had received so much food. He had to share it with the rest of the villagers.
At the same time, he couldn’t help but think, "Now that I think about it, if he wants to go to the Federation, shouldn’t he already know where it’s located? Well, it’s not exactly my problem since this is the Republic."
