The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife
Chapter 671: I actually hope there’s a woman hidden in your house
After having lunch with Xu Yisen, Munni left his office, not forgetting to remind him not to work too hard before leaving.
Yisen patted her head, then bent down slightly to gently kiss her smooth forehead. "My dear wife is so considerate, I’ll come back early later, don’t worry."
"Mm."
Munni didn’t say more, waved to him, and left his office. After saying goodbye to Tang Haoliang and Wang Ruoran, she took the elevator to the underground parking lot.
She got into her car, started it, and drove away swiftly.
Originally planning to go home, she changed her mind, opened her contacts, and dialed Zhang Chufeng’s number.
After ringing for a while, Zhang Chufeng’s slightly lazy voice came from the other end, "Hmm, what’s up?"
"Where are you?"
"At home."
"Is it convenient for me to come over now?"
"Come on over, I don’t have a woman hidden at home anyway."
Munni couldn’t help but laugh, "I actually wish you had a woman hidden at home. Wait for me, I’m coming over now."
After quickly saying this, she hung up the phone, accelerated, and headed straight to Zhang Chufeng’s place.
By the time she arrived at Zhang Chufeng’s, it was twenty minutes later. Hearing the doorbell, Zhang Chufeng knew Munni had arrived. He walked out from the study to open the door for her.
"What brought you to me so suddenly today?"
Munni walked in, changed into indoor slippers at the entrance, and replied casually, "Can’t I show some concern for my partner?"
Zhang Chufeng nodded, walking towards the living room, and asked, "Sure, sure, do you want something to drink?"
"Do you have any alcohol?"
"Drinking in the middle of the day?" Zhang Chufeng paused and turned his head to glance at Munni, following behind him. Narrowing his eyes, he asked suspiciously, "Did you have a fight with Chairman Xu and came here to drown your sorrows in alcohol?"
After speaking, he shook his head to himself, "No way, with how much Chairman Xu dotes on you, how could he even argue with you."
Munni glanced at him sideways, calmly walked past him, and headed to the kitchen.
"Stop guessing; I just haven’t drunk for a while and wanted a little sip."
"Oh, in that case, go ahead. There’s quite a bit of good liquor in the cabinet, drink as you please."
"You’re not drinking?"
"I have a lot of work left to finish, so I won’t be drinking."
Munni walked into the kitchen, took a bottle of red wine from the wine rack, grabbed a wine glass and a corkscrew, and headed to the living room.
Zhang Chufeng had already returned to the study. Munni set her things on the coffee table and followed him into the study.
The study door was open, and before entering, she politely knocked on the door.
Just sitting down at the desk, Zhang Chufeng looked up at her and asked, "What’s up?"
"I say, can’t you properly entertain your guest here? It’s my first time drinking at your place; can’t you prepare some snacks for me?"
Her request left Zhang Chufeng a bit amused and helpless, "The fridge is empty, should I order you some takeout?"
"Mm, I want spicy crayfish, duck neck, duck rack, duck tongue, and chicken wings."
"Your taste is really down-to-earth, is there anything else you want?"
"See if you can also buy me some vanilla Hagen Daz ice cream from the supermarket."
"Anything else?"
"And when the takeout arrives, come out and eat with me."
"Got it. Go relax in the living room first, I’ll come out when I finish my work."
"Mm."
