He even raised his voice as he asked Loki, saying, "Who are you anyway?"

But Loki said to him with a tone full of amusement, "In time, you will tell."

The mind hunter didn’t like this answer. But he wanted to live, so he didn’t let his anger make him say something that would anger Loki.

Instead of getting angrier, he said, "If you want something and I can do it, I will do it. Just ask away. There is no need..."

But Loki still didn’t reply. Instead, he activated the Mind Freeze Metac on the mind hunter.

The mind hunter was not a divine being, so he couldn’t resist spending some of his lifespan. And even though he was a mind hunter, the power of Loki’s attack was thousands of times stronger than any resistance he could mount. So the attack took effect.

With the Mind Freeze Metac taking effect, the mind hunter suddenly became silent. His mouth was still open as he was midsentence. But his eyes had gone blank and unfocused.

The time that Loki spoke of when the mind hunter would be useful to him finally came when he left the vicinity of the heavenly city. After putting some distance between him and that city, he immediately activated the Nanite Metac and used the nanobots to modify the mind hunter’s body into the body of a golem.

The mind hunter didn’t feel anything as his body was changing because his mind was frozen. Since he couldn’t feel anything, he didn’t feel any pain and didn’t cry out in pain.

So Loki and the mind hunter stood in a random corner of heaven in silence. The white, glassy sand beneath their feet stretched far and wide into the distance. Colorful and strange creatures frolicked around them without fear.

Loki liked this silence, but he couldn’t really enjoy it. This was because there were millions of creatures in his Cave Heaven, always making noise, and he was always aware of every noise that they made.

So even though his surroundings in the first dimension were quiet and picturesque, he just couldn’t enjoy these things. The constant cacophony in his mind that only he could hear was always distracting him.

After the conversion was done, he released the mind hunter and deactivated the Mind Freeze Metac. Then he waited to see the result of his work.

When the mind hunter recovered his senses, he continued to say, "There is no need for you to torture me. I will do my best to be obedient."

He wanted to say more about how obedient he would be so that Loki wouldn’t kill him, but he stopped talking because he noticed that his body had changed.

Instead of saying more convincing words, he looked down his body. Then he stretched out his hands to examine them.

What he saw surprised him. His face was full of shock as he looked up at Loki and said, "What have you done to me?"

Loki ignored his question, and instead he asked his own question, saying, "Tell me, do you still have your Divine Metac?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

The mind hunter still wanted to get to the bottom of what Loki had done to his body, but he didn’t want to make Loki angry.

So he reined in his anger and said in reply, "I don’t have any Divine Metac. I am just an ordinary reincarnation."

This reply made Loki frown and say, "It seems you haven’t fallen under my control yet. If you had, you wouldn’t be lying to me like this."

The mind hunter immediately became weary as he said, "First of all, I am not lying to you. Secondly, what’s this about gaining control of me? Are you an enslaver? Is this why you changed my body?"

Loki ignored him and continued to frown as he said, ’It seems the Nanite Metac can’t turn everything into a puppet for me to control. Other beings can be turned into puppets because their bodies affect their minds, but the mind of a divine being has already been solidified when they form their Cave Heaven, so they are unaffected by the modifications to their bodies."

"Then again, even death can’t make a divine being lose their memories. No amount of death can stop them from reincarnating as long as they have their Cave Heaven. So it is not a wonder why the Nanite Metac has failed to enslave someone with a Cave Heaven."

Unlike what this mind hunter would like others to believe, he is not an everyday rank 5 cultivator. He is actually the reincarnation of a divine being and possesses a Cave Heaven.

No one should have known that he possessed a Cave Heaven because his Cave Heaven was hidden by his Divine Position. This is how this reincarnation had been able to walk around without drawing attention from divine beings.

But Loki knows that he has a Cave Heaven. Not only that, but Loki is also sure that this mind hunter also possesses a Divine Metac. This is all thanks to the Power Identification Ability.

Right now, his goal isn’t just to take that Divine Metac for himself. His goals for this mind hunter also include trying to see if he can enslave divine beings. This is so that he can access the information within the mind of said divine beings.

As he said this to himself, he began the process of borrowing the Hive Mind Metac from the Hammock.
