The Last King Of Darkness
Chapter 1813 - 830: Age of Giants
Rod was startled in his heart; he felt an invisible power release from some ancient sealing, enveloping this area, bringing everything into silence.
However, in his soul, he could not sense anything, only a void.
Rhein reacted swiftly, instantly entering into a battle state; a mist-like Spiritual Energy wave spread out, and the powerful Source Law Power vibrated in the air.
"Be careful!"
Rhein stepped forward, blocking in front of Rod. He had encountered talking monsters before, which were either ancient remnants of will or hallucinations induced by powerful abilities. But regardless of which, they weren’t ordinary monsters.
Generally speaking, the more coherent its speech, the stronger its power.
And the monster before them not only gave him an extremely calm feeling but also blocked his perception.
This is definitely not an ordinary twisted and corrupted Dark Soul.
But in the next second, Rod stopped him.
"Wait!"
Rhein turned his gaze in surprise, seeing countless points of light merging into Rod’s soul.
This was definitely not some form of corruption, erosion, or harm, but rather a form of devouring, a form of fusion.
His soul absorbed these points of light.
At this moment, gray text lines kept appearing in front of Rod.
[Residual Spirit of Giant Warrior Angkis]
[Residual Spirit of Giant Soul-splitter Bas]
[Residual Spirit of Giant City Breaker Bakaris]
[Residual Spirit of Giant Destroying Warrior Derex]
...
Countless souls flew into the Dream Realm, returning to the Soul Altar.
These souls, though incomplete and of little remaining power, each contained a portion of Destiny Energy.
The Book of the Future danced wildly amidst these countless soul trajectories, shouting excitedly, "So much, so much! I’m going to prosper, hahaha, so much Destiny Energy, I’m going to become invincible! Master, you know, I’m going to be invincible! In these Three Realms, nothing will obscure my eyes; within this universe, no speck of dust will cloud my heart. I want fate to bow at my feet, wahahaha! I am the Book of Eternal Destiny!"
In that instant, Rod knew for sure it was not a monster.
He lifted his gaze to that terrifying skull, roughly the size of half a town. Its main body was almost completely decayed, with gray bones covered in sparse black corrosive material, the lower part missing, and two large, hollow eye sockets that were somewhat frightening.
One could say, it was merely a skull.
"Good day, great being. I am Rod."
Rod cautiously chose a very polite greeting, but the monster ignored him; the faint light in the black hollow eye sockets shifted slightly, seemingly turning its gaze.
"Ah, strong one of steel and fire, please temporarily block Spirit and perception, and leave here. The price of protection will multiply with each Spirit the taboo language touches."
Rhein’s heart jolted. In that instant, countless possibilities flashed in his mind, with the worst being that it was a high-rank illusion. Many monsters utilize their own memories to construct suitable illusion realms for destructive purposes.
If this was a powerful ancient being, departing rashly would place Rod in a dead land.
Blocking Spirit and perception would make him entirely blind.
But in the next instant, his reasoning and logic overturned this possibility; without a doubt, this was Rod’s "opportunity," a unique aspect of the Life of Man for him; otherwise, why would he come straight here?
Perhaps, Rod, full of mysteries, was the reincarnation of some powerful ancient being?
Understanding this, Rhein no longer doubted, nodded slightly at Rod, sealed off his Spirit and perception, and his body turned into an invisible light, departing from the Giant Graveyard.
Soon, in the vast graveyard, only Rod and the giant skull remained.
Rod noticed that it was precisely located at the center of the Giant Graveyard, trapped in a giant pit over 3,000 yards in diameter.
"A sealing, this is a special sealing."
The Book of Knowledge murmured in the Dream Realm.
"The entire Giant Graveyard exists for this sealing; it is a special sealing unique to the Giant Clan. The residual spirit of Giant King Omir exists to protect this sealing, no, all the giant residual spirits exist for it."
Rod’s heart trembled; he vaguely guessed what this residual spirit was, but he was not sure.
Silence pressed against the eardrums; an invisible force dispelled the Black Fog in the area, yet the entire Giant Graveyard remained shrouded in darkness. However, Rod could clearly sense that it was not the terrifying darkness originating from the Black Fog, but a natural, calm, and gentle darkness,
In this environment, the giant skull finally spoke again.
"Ah, spanning countless ages, through endless millennia, I have finally seen you again."
"Lord of Destruction and Darkness." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
In that instant, Rod immediately associated it with the [Dark Devourer]; its Star Energy was precisely [Destroying Darkness]!
This "Lord of Destruction and Darkness," is it the former Master of Dreams?
Rod hesitated for a second and then asked, "Who are you? Is the Lord of Destruction and Darkness referring to me?"
