Chapter 1099: The Center of Heaven

The moment the interstellar vessel came out of the wormhole, Aldrian was instantly greeted by a humongous black hole-like in the distance.

That was the true Center of Heaven. The central point of the entire First Heaven was now close to him.

He was more than twenty thousand kilometers away from the gigantic black hole, yet he did not feel the powerful gravitational pull that a normal black hole should possess. The black hole looked as though it had taken the shape of one, but none of the terrifying force that should accompany it existed.

Still, its enormous size almost filled his entire sight since he had appeared so close to it, making his heart tremble.

The giant pillar of light piercing the heavens only deepened the feeling that he was nothing before the phenomena of the universe.

He was too small and too insignificant in front of it!

He was nothing!

However, he quickly set that feeling aside. If this had been during his past life, when he stood as a great emperor, a sight like this would not make him feel insignificant.

Instead, it would have made him feel powerful.

Something like this would only be his plaything. He could move the entire galaxy with his will. No, forget about that, he could even create an entire galaxy with only his will.

Once again, he reminded himself of the power he once possessed. He had to reach that level again so he could eliminate those invaders.

From the direction of the Center of Heaven, he could feel an extremely strong flow of faith energy. Even without spreading his domain, the sensation was clear.

The flows of faith energy from various directions were heading directly toward the black hole.

There was another thing that attracted his attention.

He could feel that the black hole was calling to him.

This was a kind of intent, similar to the one he felt when he communicated with Heaven. Aldrian did not doubt that it might be the intent from the same Heaven he occasionally communicated with when he was inside his domain.

The intent urged him to quickly turn the entire First Heaven into his domain.

But then another intent reached him.

This one carried a different message. It showed that Heaven was actually... sick and weakened.

Aldrian frowned deeply. Heaven was sick and weakened?

That sounded like an absurd story.

Yet that was the meaning he could interpret from the intent reaching him.

After thinking for a short time, he raised his eyebrows before nodding in understanding.

’Of course. Heaven feels sick and weakened. Those gods weakened the law of causality in the First Heaven,’ he thought.

His gaze toward the black hole turned solemn.

’Wait just a little longer. I will come to you,’ he thought.

The vessel continued flying past the world near him, which he knew to be the world called Arsien Star. This was one of the main worlds in the central region of Heaven.

With a size similar to the Ancient Blue Gate World, it was one of the strongest worlds where many powerful devils lived. It was also the place where the Vampire King spent most of his time. His palace was located there after all.

Aldrian knew that the forces of this world and many nearby worlds had already greatly weakened because the Vampire King had brought most of their strong cultivators to the Central Star Cluster.

And he had killed them all.

Now that they were dead, it could be said that the devils of the southern side of Heaven had lost more than thirty percent of their total force. That number was enormous considering how wide the southern side of Heaven was, with devil forces spread across many galaxies.

Moreover, those who died were almost all of the Vampire King’s strongest cultivators. He had brought many immortals and many pseudo immortal stage cultivators, and all of them were obliterated by the black holes.

Even though around seventy percent of the Vampire King’s forces still remained, it would be much easier for Aldrian to deal with them.

From the memories he saw from some of the devils he had killed in the previous world, Aldrian learned that the Vampire King’s palace had become a temporary base for the overlords who managed the southern Heaven.

The Vampire King already had a successor, Rulleus. But since he was already dead and no one had replaced him, the three overlords decided to take the role of temporary leaders.

This was also meant to prevent a civil war among the Vampire King’s descendants. The Vampire King had many descendants from many women, and it was easy to imagine how chaotic the battle for the throne could become.

At this delicate time, with an unknown enemy lurking in the southern side of Heaven, a battle for the throne was the last thing they wanted to happen.

The overlords could not allow the devil forces in the southern side of Heaven to weaken any further.

As Aldrian kept flying closer to the black hole, he could see many interstellar vessels and cruisers also flying toward it. They came from various directions, and their numbers were countless.

Even though many had already been destroyed by Aldrian when the Vampire King arrived at the Central Star Cluster, there were still many across the central region of Heaven.

Moreover, he could sense many hidden immortals among them!

At first, he detected fewer than ten, then it rose to dozens, and as they drew closer to the center of Heaven, the number surged past a thousand!

It seemed the news of the divine beings’ descent had already spread, and the overlords had arranged countless devils to greet them.

It made sense since these were the divine realm cultivators they had spoken about, existences far beyond the reach of these "low-level cultivators." The overlords wanted to show their sincerity and reverence with a grand greeting.

Many cultivators did not need to fly using any vessel, and some of them passed near Aldrian.

Since the devils seemed to know who the vessel belonged to, they kept their distance and gave it a clear path.

This was also good for him, as no one would come close to him. He was wary of devils who had comprehended pseudo death laws that might accidentally reveal his position.

After a few minutes of flying, the vessel finally stopped and the side hatch opened. Aldrian then saw a middle-aged man with tan skin and slit eyes approaching the vessel.

He instantly recognized the man. This was another overlord of the devils in the First Heaven. He was the human form of the nine-headed hydra named Vargus.

Now he had finally seen all of the overlords.

The Necromancer King and the Heavenly Spear Devil came out of the vessel and flew toward Vargus.

"How about the situation in Raktus Star?" Vargus asked.

The Necromancer King shook his head. "Not yet resolved. That assassin can hide himself completely. This is getting more complicated."

Vargus narrowed his eyes. "Even you could not take care of it until now? Then the one who descended to this Heaven is not a simple character."

He clicked his tongue. "Tsk. As I thought, those followers of God Arvegis cannot be trusted. To think they dared to infiltrate the First Heaven and break the Gods’ covenant. They even sent someone strong enough to contend with one of the overlords. That means they had already planned this beforehand."

"Well, whatever. Let us gather to greet the descent of the divine beings. This is the first time such beings have descended here, so we should not mess it up. Are they almost here?" the Heavenly Spear Devil asked.

"From what the messenger said, it should not take long. Many devils are already in position," Vargus replied.

They then flew toward the black hole. Aldrian observed them for a moment before he also decided to follow them. He made sure to keep more than two meters away from the Necromancer King or any cultivators nearby.

After flying for another five minutes, they stopped in front of countless lines of devils, interstellar vessels, and cruisers. At the very front stood a man. He was a handsome young man with long black hair wearing a black robe. Through the system’s information, Aldrian could see that this young man came from a higher heaven.

His actual cultivation was the same as Ling Xiao! 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

"Your Excellency," the three overlords greeted him with great respect.

The young man looked at them. "How is the matter regarding the assassin?"

"My apologies, but I have not yet located the assassin. He has not shown himself for days, and I believe he decided to hide after realizing he had been discovered," the Necromancer King replied.

The young man frowned, then clicked his tongue. "Tsk, useless. To think that you cannot catch an assassin. I am starting to wonder whether the higher-ups’ decision to give you one of the overlord positions here was correct," he said in a mocking tone.

"My apologies for not meeting Your Excellency’s expectations. I have nothing to say in my defense," the Necromancer King replied. He did not show any displeasure or rather, he did not dare to show it.

He simply accepted the humiliation and only grumbled about it in his heart.

Seeing that the Necromancer King did not rebut his words, the young man snorted and turned his head toward the direction of the pillar of light.

The rest of them also said nothing and looked in the same direction as the young man. They were ten kilometers away from the pillar of light.

All of them looked at the pillar of light above with solemn expressions. At this moment, none of the devils made a sound, and all of them wore the same solemn expression.

Aldrian observed the pillar of light for a moment before he closed his eyes.

A few moments later, three small silhouettes suddenly appeared from behind the pillar of light.

At that moment, Aldrian slowly opened his eyes.

Those divine beings had arrived!
