The Stranger Behind My Orgasm
Chapter 145: YOU TWO MIGHT WANT TO SEE THIS
Abigail
"Security!"
My heels clicked rapidly as I raced to the entrance where the guards stood. "There’s an intruder in the building! He got in on elevator three, he just went up!"
Everything happened fast after that. The security team rallied immediately, shutting down the elevator. Loud alarms blared through the ground floor, catching everyone’s attention.
My heart was beating so hard I could feel it in my throat. There was something about that man, something about him that reminded me of that night fifteen years ago. I had that same sensation, that crippling, tearing sensation.
"Abby!" Kate rushed beside me, grabbing my arm, "I saw him push you. Are you okay? Come sit down, okay?"
"I’m fine," I pressed the back of my hand against my sternum and breathed through my nose. I was just taken aback, that was all. The asshole had shoved me pretty hard. The guards force the elevator back down, overriding it.
A crowd gathered around as we all waited to see what idiot would be brave enough to try to sneak into Wolfe Corp when the elevator doors opened.
"He has to have balls of steel," Kate whispered next to me.
Two security guards dragged the man out. He was talking, hands flailing in the air, and I moved closer to hear what he was saying.
"This is completely insane," he spat. "I work here. I have my ID right here!"
He held it up, the plastic dangling in the air. That had to be some bullshit. Why didn’t he just show it to me when I asked?
Why did he shove me away in the first place? The security guard took the ID, examined it, and then handed it back.
"He’s in the PR department, Miss Kellerman," The guard announced, and every head turned to me.
The asshole who had shoved me pulled his mask down, his face flushed with irritation, as he glared at me.
Was it just me, or had he seemed taller and broader when he first walked into the elevator a few minutes ago?
"You called me an intruder? Really?" he snapped. "Do you have any idea how that felt? Being hauled out of an elevator like some kind of criminal? I want an apology!"
"I will apologize if you do pay damages for shoving me out of the elevator like some idiot. If you worked here, all you had to do was show me your ID," I replied, holding my head up.
"I didn’t push you," He scoffed.
"Kate? Did he or did he not shove me?"
"He shoved her, I saw it," Kate piped up next to me. "And if you don’t believe her, we can always get the footage."
"Fine, whatever, man," The guy spat, already turning around to leave. "I don’t need your stupid apology."
I watched him step back into the elevator, shaking my head in disbelief. No, the man I had spoken to before he shoved me was different. Then how did this guy get to be in the elevator, dressed in the same clothes, mask, and hat?
Or I had imagined the whole thing.
My phone rang, cutting my supposed descent into insanity short. Annette’s name flashed on the screen.
I pressed it to my ear and walked toward the entrance. "Hey,"
"I’m outside, I can see you through the glass, what on earth is going on in there? Why is everyone all gathered up in a stuff?"
"I’ll explain later. Come in."
"This is the renown Wolfe Corp," Annette said, stepping through the entrance doors and tipping her head back to take in the lobby. She whistled. "Damn, looks like some king’s palace out here,"
"Please act normal before him, I don’t want to scare him off," I mumbled, howling when she pinched me.
"Still need his big juicy- "
"Salary," I cut in, glancing around surreptitiously, hoping no one heard her. "Annie, come on. Anyone could have heard you."
"My bad, my bad," She chuckled while I steered her toward the reception desk. "Kate, this is my best friend, Annette Lancaster. She’s here to work on some IT issue."
Kate beamed, holding a hand out. "Hi! I’m Kate."
"I’m Annette." Annette shook hers firmly.
"Don’t worry, when the office gossip comes up, I’ve only heard good things about you, so you’re safe."
"What are you talking about?" I chuckled, grabbing her hand. "Don’t listen to her, Kate. I’ve never gossiped about you with her. Now come on, let’s hurry. My boss does not like to be kept waiting."
Finnegan was at his desk when we came in, jacket off, sleeves rolled up, and a blank look on his face.
You couldn’t tell that he rammed my pussy full of his cock like some wild beast this morning.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Wolfe,"
My shoulders sagged in relief when Annette greeted him normally. I was so sure she would have said something hilariously silly to him instead, like-
"Howdy, Partner,"
I slapped a hand over my face. "Annie?"
Finnegan’s eyes narrowed into slits while Annette shrugged unapologetically. "What? I’m kidding."
"Miss Kellerman says you can fix the issues with my system," His deep gruff voice filled the office, and a smug smirk tugged at my lips at the stunned look on Annette’s face.
What did she expect? That he’d call me by my first name?
"Yeah," She replied. "Can I get a walk-through of what’s missing, what the system is showing you, and I’ll take it from there?"
Annette listened as he spoke without interrupting, which was how I knew she was taking it seriously. When he finished, she dropped into the chair facing him and turned the monitor to herself, cracked her knuckles, and began typing.
Finnegan popped a brow at me in question. I gave him a small nod to reassure him.
The office was quiet for some twenty minutes except for the sound of Annette’s fingers on the keyboard until she spoke up.
"Got it,"
"What’s the problem?"
She turned the computer back to face him. "It’s spyware. Someone else has had access to this system for a while, your files, screen activity, document access, and all."
Finnegan went still, gripping the edge of his desk until his knuckles were white. "Can we find out who?"
Annette turned the monitor back to herself and began typing again, faster now, pursing her lips. "I’ll debug it first. It seems they’re also planting documents in your computer and..."
She trailed off, her face white with shock.
"Annie?"
"Uhh." She turned to look at me. "Abby, you two might want to see this."
