Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 897 - 381: Four Treasures
As the newborn misty creature in his hand departed, Alka returned to his throne.
In front of him floated four items.
One was a neatly folded blood-red item, some sort of fabric adorned with metallic decorations.
A gemstone, transparent overall, but with specks of brown light flickering inside.
A dagger, very, very ordinary. It looked like it had been casually chosen from an armory.
A belt, which appeared excessively crude. Fashioned with some tattered vines, with a strangely plain broken metal piece hanging at the center.
These four items were the spoils of war that Alka had previously acquired.
The red item was the treasure that Karuto had used before; a blood-colored cloak.
This treasure, unsurprisingly, was stripped from him.
The remaining three treasures were all obtained from that group of Cultists.
As the realm ascended, Alka devoured all the Cultists into the mist. After he left, these cultists were naturally eliminated by the misty creatures within the realm.
The Shadow Robe collected these items.
"To think there are four, it's a bit too abundant." Alka looked at these four treasures in front of him, unable to suppress a smile.
Yet he shook his head slightly regretfully, because these four treasures were left behind as their previous owners were forcibly eliminated.
If he wanted these four treasures to become controllable again, he would need to spend considerable time to wear away the aura of their previous owners.
That's why they have been kept in the Dream Realm by Alka.
Alka stared at these four treasures, pondering how to quickly wear away the aura upon them.
According to the estimated time for wear, it would take at least one or two years for the aura to be completely removed.
It's conceivable that these treasures had been carried by those Cultists for an unknown length of time, and those Cultists seemed to have lived much longer than expected.
Among them, the only one with a weakened aura was Karuto's cloak.
It's certain that Karuto had not acquired the cloak for more than five years.
"Your Majesty, are you troubled?"
The Shadow Robe appeared beside Alka and asked.
Alka nodded, pointing at the four floating treasures before him.
"How can the intense personal aura on them be eradicated?"
The Shadow Robe turned and looked: "If you don't mind, may I take a closer look?"
"As you wish."
Being a creature of the Dream, the Shadow Robe had existed for unusually long. Though it seldom ventured into reality, sufficient time had allowed it to understand most worldly affairs.
The Shadow Robe nodded, stretching out its shadowy arm and gently waved, causing one treasure to fall into its hand.
"A fragment of the Rule?"
"A shard of the Rule?" asked Alka.
The Shadow Robe nodded and said, "What we refer to as treasures are essentially objects into which Divine Essence has integrated from reality.
Divine Essence is the manifestation of the world's rules concretized."
It was easy to understand; Alka nodded. He had pondered along these lines before, so he wasn't too surprised.
At this moment, what the Shadow Robe held was precisely the belt that appeared most ordinary, even rudimentary.
"Too crude, overly rough to contain the Rule within," muttered the Shadow Robe, shaking its head in a display of contempt.
Alka could only agree with these words.
There were times when you had to admit, some treasures' appearances were indeed discomforting.
They looked like Divine Essence randomly fused with unknown objects.
They had indeed obtained Divine Essence before, and not just once. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
They naturally had corresponding studies.
Comparing their tailor-made conduits to contain Divine Essence, these newly crafted treasures that could better accommodate Divine Essence were more proficient and fitting.
The primary key was their compatibility with the user.
Shadow Robe then proceeded to inspect the remaining three floating items one by one.
Holding the red cloak: "Not bad, resilient material matched with suitable rules, an outstanding fusion."
Holding the gemstone with brown shades inside: "Not quite, the Rule doesn't align with the material, its power is stunted."
Picking up the last dagger: "Primitive."
As Alka listened, he pondered and asked, "How do you sense this so clearly?"
It was apparent that Shadow Robe could intricately perceive the more hidden details within the treasures.
"It's due to my Race, Your Majesty. Pure dream creatures are profoundly connected with the world, and Rules are parts of it."
Upon hearing this, Alka nodded.
In the Dream Realm, he hadn't yet achieved the clarity Shadow Robe had, but he could, through his eyes, slightly discern the secrets of these treasures.
Careful observation could roughly reveal what powers these treasures had.
It wasn't too difficult because, even in reality, there were many means to discern a treasure's ability without mastery over it.
"So, is there a solution after all this?"
The Shadow Robe nodded: "You can strip the Rules from within these treasures anew.
To prevent the Rules from returning to nature, they can be abstracted into Divine Essence, which would be slightly more stable."
