Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1386: Truly Can’t Bear to Be Apart Even for a Moment
"Miss Mills, our Mr. Trevino has an exceptionally high taste." Cecilia Dunn praised as she led her into the CEO’s office.
The office was spacious and bright, decorated in a traditional Chinese style, with the sound of running water, and an enormous tank housing turtles and fish.
Janelle Mills had a soft expression as she slowly surveyed the surroundings, her gaze landing on his desk.
Trevor was not here, but she could imagine him usually strategizing in this place.
And the image of his tall, slender figure standing with his hands behind his back in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
She felt his presence pervading the air, being in his office made her feel very close to him, and Janelle suddenly felt a bit envious of Cecilia Dunn.
Being an assistant in the CEO’s office and spending every day with Trevor must feel incredibly fortunate.
"Miss Mills, would you like something to drink? We only have mocha and latte." Cecilia Dunn casually closed the computer and welcomed her warmly.
Important guests must not be neglected!
Being fully aware that this girl was definitely the future CEO’s wife, both she and her mentor’s intuition couldn’t be wrong, just looking at Mr. Trevino’s affectionate head pat was confirmation.
"A cup of mocha, please, thank you." Janelle smiled at her, giving off a particularly well-mannered and polite vibe.
"Sure, make yourself comfortable, no need to be formal." Cecilia Dunn left with a smile to make coffee.
Watching her leave, Janelle felt only envy, no jealousy or resentment.
Because she herself could vaguely sense Trevor’s feelings for her.
Just now, downstairs, in front of so many people, he had given her a head pat, which was a very intimate gesture.
Remembering that moment, her cheeks couldn’t help but heat up, and she lightly touched her face, secretly taking a deep breath.
Soon, Cecilia Dunn returned with a cup of mocha, "Thank you." Janelle received it with both hands and sat down on the sofa by the window.
"You’re welcome, Miss Mills."
Before she had time to take a sip, familiar footsteps sounded at the door, and the girl looked up to see Trevor entering, causing her to pause in surprise.
Cecilia Dunn was also taken aback, "Hello, Mr. Trevino." She hurriedly greeted him, quickly grabbed a document from the desk, and left.
In the large office, only the two of them were left again.
Trevor’s gaze fell on her, steadily walking towards her, exuding an incredibly gentle aura.
"Weren’t you here to discuss work?" Janelle looked at him, as he didn’t seem to be here to get something, if he needed documents, Simon could have fetched them.
He smiled, sitting down on the sofa opposite her, "There’s no need for extensive discussion on work, a simple greeting will suffice, Simon will sign the contract with him."
So, he had already finished his business.
As he spoke, his deep and gentle gaze remained on her face.
Just seeing her made him inexplicably happy.
Janelle, holding her coffee cup, suddenly felt awkward again. Why did she come here? She worried about him, but couldn’t say so directly, could she?
Had he noticed?
Was he still looking for an answer?
Why so persistent?
Janelle carefully sipped her coffee, a bit nervously watching him, her mind going blank again.
"Janelle, do you have any wishes in this lifetime?"
Trevor leaned back slightly, elegantly crossing his legs, his gaze resting on the girl’s face opposite.
"..." Janelle was indeed momentarily stunned, "Wishes?"
What did he mean by that?
What was he up to?
Why was he asking this?
Her mind was filled with countless questions.
And Trevor, watching her with great interest, a gentle smile on his face, particularly enjoyed her flustered yet very obedient demeanor.
