Janelle slowly immersed herself in another world... and wasn’t so afraid anymore.

The morning dew was gradually thinning. They followed the innkeeper through one arch after another, walking along the mossy cobblestone road. There weren’t many tourists, making it feel even more tranquil.

Janelle admired the beauty of the ancient town, listening to the folk-style songs, with the man she liked by her side, feeling quite content.

Not far ahead, Ian Shelby was running and searching, coming right toward them! Sweat beads had formed on his forehead.

"Jocelyn! Where are you?! Jocelyn Morgan! Come out!!" Ian was really anxious.

Trevor and Janelle stopped in their tracks, and she instinctively pulled out her earphones, hearing Ian calling Jocelyn Morgan!

It was only three meters away when Ian saw them.

Ian, who had been anxiously searching, holding his phone, paused. Why were they here too??

Trevor had a vague sense of foreboding.

Ian walked briskly toward him, "Have you seen Jocelyn?" His voice was flustered.

Looking around, a dozen police officers were going around asking questions, as if investigating a criminal case.

Ian briefly explained the situation to them, telling them that Jocelyn was missing.

"She left with her phone fully charged. We were on an ancient bridge, I just went to the bathroom, and when I came out she was gone, and I couldn’t reach her phone."

"How long has it been?" Trevor’s expression changed slightly, his tone holding a hint of tension and worry.

Ian answered, "It’s been two hours." Her heart grew more panicked.

Trevor pointed to the alley on the right and asked, "Has this alley been searched?"

"Not yet." Ian shook his head, a bit unsure and deeply regretting, "It’s all my fault."

"Now is not the time for blame, finding her is urgent." Trevor didn’t even pull Janelle, he immediately strode toward the alley alone!

The earphones playing music fell out of his pocket, earlier he was worried she would be scared, but now he had left her behind.
