Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 725 - 705: Vivian’s Recent Situation and Sponsorship
The only sounds left in the bathroom were the gentle flow of water, soft breathing, and the distant, faint sound of waves.
Nina’s massage was considerate and detailed, her fingertips occasionally glided over certain acupoints, bringing a comfortable sensation of soreness and swelling; Yala’s cleansing was meticulous and focused, as if treating the most precious magic potion plants.
The steam rose, blurring their vision, softening the light, enveloping two distinctly different yet equally beautiful youthful bodies in a hazy warm glow.
Nina’s honey-toned skin contrasted with Yala’s pale, jade-like body beneath the shimmering water, yet they seemed strangely harmonious.
...
The next morning, the sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the castle’s study, casting bright patches of light on the polished floor, while the sea breeze carried in a fresh, salty air.
Duke, after a night of rest, felt invigorated.
He sat quietly at the desk, his mind moved slightly, triggering Vivian’s Wizard’s Mark.
In an instant, his consciousness seemed to transcend the endless barriers of space, creating a resonance with another Wizard’s Mark far away on the Florence Continent, establishing a purely spiritual, silent yet incredibly clear bridge.
"Duke, have you returned from the East Coast?" a familiar, gentle, slightly weary yet brightly enthusiastic mental wave resonated directly in his consciousness.
Duke transformed his thoughts into a calm and caring stream of spiritual power, transmitting it over: "Just got back to Black Sail, I can sense your spirit is a bit weary, it seems you’ve been quite busy recently. Is Earl Hardy’s health improving? How are things on your end?"
Through the Mark, he could vaguely sense the other party’s state of spiritual power, busy yet orderly, filled with pioneering enthusiasm, like a field being cultivated, brimming with hope.
"Father is much better, thanks to your contributions. He’s full of spirit now and often comes to guide my construction work." Vivian’s feedback came with a familiar and relaxed wave, then shifted to a more focused and practical tone, "Here... it’s indeed like nurturing several magic potion fields simultaneously, with every seedling needing careful care. However, progress is faster and more valued than expected."
She began transmitting a large amount of information through the Mark, primarily clear thoughts, intensely descriptive imagery, and direct data.
"First and foremost are the essential seeds, apprentices with wizard potential. We’ve initially screened through kingdom channels and Holy Tower’s authorization, with surprisingly delightful results: twenty-seven children with wizard potential!
Although the potential is generally low, mostly third class and below, for the Florence Continent, this is a precious spark. Can you imagine? Many of them might never know they have the possibility to touch another world."
Her mental wave was filled with a sense of mission and the joy of initial success.
Soon, more critical information came: "The proposal for Vivian’s Cottage, after being submitted by the teacher to a sub-agency of the Wizard Council, has received official principle approval! The council acknowledged the necessity of establishing a systematic apprentice cultivation mechanism on the Florence Continent, especially after recent events, elevating the priority of self-defense capability construction on fringe continents."
This flow of information was solid and powerful, signifying the project had received the highest endorsement of legitimacy.
"The support from the Thorn Holy Tower is instant." Vivian’s narrative continued, filled with gratitude and excitement, "Based on the council’s spirit and internal resolutions from the Holy Tower, the support is substantial."
Two Level 1 Crystalization Official Wizards as resident mentors, five Level 1 Gaseous Wizards as assistant teachers, are already in place participating in the work.
The initial batch of construction materials has been allocated, for foundational magic arrays, meditation rooms, and laboratories.
The Thorn Holy Tower also provided meditation techniques, Level 0 magic, foundational subject resources, foundational magic potion seeds, and tool lists, addressing the core issues of teaching materials and knowledge sources for Vivian’s Cottage.
Through the Mark, Duke could not only hear these words but also sense Vivian’s train of thought, orderly amidst myriad tasks, and the sense of fulfillment from facing challenges and overcoming difficulties.
"Every day there’s an endless array of details to finalize, from curriculum arrangements to accepting building materials, while also balancing various relationships." Vivian’s mental wave carried a hint of helplessness, quickly covered by resolute determination, "Yet watching those children successfully sense elements for the first time, the pure curiosity and brightness that bursts forth in their spirit... it’s all worth it. Perhaps this is one of the responsibilities that teachers say wizards should bear toward the progress of civilization."
"Don’t neglect your own cultivation either, after this busy period, you should delegate tasks, you can’t do everything yourself."
Duke was naturally pleased to hear the smooth progress of Vivian’s Cottage; however, he was more concerned about Vivian’s own cultivation issues.
If these affairs delayed her personal development, it wouldn’t be beneficial for Vivian personally.
"I understand, Duke. I’m also working hard on my cultivation, trying not to fall too far behind you. I’m still confident that in the next two years, I can advance to a Liquidation Wizard, though no match for you naturally..."
Vivian and Duke chatted for quite a while, covering various aspects of life.
Until matters needed her attention on her end, she had to reluctantly end the communication with Duke.
