Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 726 - 705: Vivian’s Recent Situation and Support (2)
There is no doubt that the matters of Vivian’s cottage have had a certain impact on her training; otherwise, she would probably have had the opportunity to advance to Liquidation Wizard within a year.
But because there are so many affairs now, it’s inevitable that her training is affected somewhat.
In the short term, this is certainly unfavorable, but for a Level 1 Mage with a lifespan of five hundred years, the delay is actually insignificant.
If Vivian’s cottage can really develop smoothly, it would be of great benefit to Vivian’s future.
It might even change the structure and future of the entire Florence Continent.
Duke thought about it and realized that he now has enough resources on hand, with 1.5 billion Level 1 Magic Stones, fully sufficient for his advancement to Level 2 Mage.
After all, the most important Energy Well problem has been solved, and there aren’t many other expenses left.
Duke now also has the ability to do something about Vivian’s matters, at least so that she doesn’t have to be so exhausted.
He thought for a moment and contacted the Giant Rock Commerce Association’s Harrison using the Wizard’s Mark, sending a piece of Spiritual Power information.
The response to the mark came quite swiftly, evidently, the other side also maintained an open channel with this important cooperative partner. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Harrison’s familiar spirit wave, bearing the merchant’s unique mellowness and enthusiasm, yet with increased respect due to facing a formal wizard with increasingly respected strength and status, promptly resonated in Duke’s consciousness.
"Wizard Sir Duke! Good day, good day! What a delightful contact. Since our last meeting, you have become even more distinguished. I heard you traveled to the East Coast, and now you’re finally back! I wonder if there’s something Harrison can assist you with today? Your dividend’s quarterly settlement at the Commerce Association was just released not long ago, and I was thinking of whether to send you a brief report on it."
The spirit wave carried the right amount of flattery, concern for the cooperative benefits, and a readiness to serve attitude.
Duke calmly but undeniably conveyed an idea: "Steward Harrison, there’s no need for pleasantries. I am indeed contacting you for a matter in which the Commerce Association can assist. It has nothing to do with dividends; it’s a new commission, or rather, I personally hope to achieve a resource and manpower transfer using the Commerce Association’s channels."
"Please feel free to instruct! Handling matters for you is an honor for both the Commerce Association and me, Harrison." Harrison’s spiritual response immediately became more focused and practical.
"I have an industry closely linked with me on the Florence Continent, currently in its nascent stage, called Vivian’s Cottage. It is a peripheral apprentice academy approved in principle by the Wizard Council and directly supported by the Thorn Holy Tower." Duke succinctly introduced the background, "In the nascent stage, there are numerous complexities; basic construction, resource integration, and daily operations all require a lot of manpower and material support. Although Thorn Holy Tower has given strong support, in some finer, more localized auxiliary links, there might be room to enhance efficiency."
He paused slightly to let Harrison process the information, then continued to deliver clear instructions: "I need the Commerce Association to prepare and transport a batch of resources to Vivian’s Cottage on the Florence Continent, with the receiver being Wizard Vivian, as per the following list."
Duke transmitted the formulated requirements, already thoroughly thought out and categorized, in the form of a clearly specified spiritual idea:
"First category, infrastructure and operational resources: including but not limited to—high-efficiency building solidification alchemical mixtures for accelerating the stabilization of stone buildings, standard Meditation Room lining soundproofing and Elemental Induction Panels, sustainable energy supply basic lighting and constant temperature Witch Array cores, a batch of high-quality standard stationery, furniture, and durable fabrics suitable for Florence’s local climate, with quantities estimated based on initial operation needs for a fifty-person academy for one year."
"Second category, teaching and experimental auxiliary materials: basic models but precise alchemical tool sets (twenty sets), regular magic potion processing equipment (thirty sets), various Basic Attribute (mainly earth, water, wind, fire) low-purity Elemental Crystals, recording blank Crystals (in large quantities), and a batch covering basic subjects (history, geography, mathematics, basic rune recognition) general knowledge carriers (books or encrypted crystals).
These knowledge carriers, the Commerce Association can collect from publicly circulated or authorized copied materials."
"The third category, and most importantly, auxiliary personnel." Duke’s idea emphasized here, "I need a batch of slave creatures with specific skills or management abilities. The requirement is a complete soul contract and high subservience.
Possessing at least one of the following skills: basic building maintenance, simple alchemy equipment maintenance, preliminary processing and storage of Magic Potion Materials, warehouse management, gardening (including maintenance of ordinary plants and low-level magical plants), cooking (suitable for large-scale meals), and cleaning and organizing.
Priority is given to humanoid, communication barrier-free races, such as certain Sub-human races or sufficiently intelligent Beastmen already tamed, numbering between fifteen to twenty.
They will be sent to Vivian’s Cottage to serve as auxiliary servants responsible for the academy’s daily maintenance and logistical support, relieving Formal Wizards and apprentices from mundane chores, allowing them to focus more on teaching and training."
Duke finally clarified: "All the purchase, transportation, and handover costs of these materials and slaves, including potential Plane transmission fees, will be deducted from my cooperation dividend account with the Commerce Association without needing to notify me for confirmation.
If the dividend account balance is insufficient, I will make up for it. There are only two requirements: first, quality must be guaranteed, especially the slaves, with safety and controllability assured; second, transportation efficiency must be high, to reach Florence as soon as possible. The Commerce Association has extensive channels in this regard; it should not be difficult."
Harrison’s spirit wave was operating rapidly while receiving the information, from time to time transmitting subtle emotions indicating understanding, estimating, and weighing.
A moment later, he replied clearly and respectfully: "Completely understand your needs, Wizard Sir Duke! Rest assured, this is indeed what the Commerce Association excels at. Most of the materials you listed are standard items, and the Commerce Association’s storehouses or partner workshops can quickly gather them, ensuring quality.
Regarding slaves... we indeed need to coordinate from several different slave markets or cooperative training grounds, but obtaining twenty auxiliary-type slaves with basic skills is not difficult; they should be gathered within a week."
He paused briefly and continued in a professional tone: "As for transportation, the Commerce Association has long-term agreements with Xinfeng Commerce Association responsible for cross-continental voyages, and some Floating Airship companies with fixed routes.
Though there are fewer classes on the Florence Continent route, arranging a special transport should not be an issue.
We will properly pack all materials, and slaves will be placed in specialized transport cabins, with a reliable steward dispatched to accompany, handling the connection with Wizard Vivian Sir, ensuring a smooth handover."
"Very good." Duke transmitted a satisfied thought, "Handle the specifics with full coordination. Remember, these resources are my unconditional support for Vivian’s Cottage, and it must be clearly explained to Wizard Vivian at the handover.
Afterward, if the academy has regular material procurement needs, reliable channels from the Commerce Association can be recommended, but there is no need to force it."
"Understood! Your intentions are very clear. Supporting Miss Vivian’s enterprise is indeed heartwarming." Harrison timely conveyed a hint of appropriately good praise and understanding, "Rest assured, Harrison will handle this matter properly, letting Wizard Vivian Sir have no worries.
At the latest tomorrow, I will present an initial material list and slave roster, along with an estimated transport timetable, via the Wizard’s Mark for your review."
"Very well." Duke briefly responded, ending this efficient spiritual communication.
Through the well-established and extensive commercial channel of the Giant Rock Commerce Association, he could, in the most worry-free and quickest way, send substantial logistical assistance to Vivian, who is far away in developing her enterprise on the Florence Continent.
These seemingly trivial yet indispensable resources and auxiliary labor will effectively share the administrative and miscellaneous pressures on Vivian, enabling her to manage the academy, teach, and cultivate herself with more composure.
For the Giant Rock Commerce Association, this is actually an opportunity to gradually establish and develop on the Florence Continent.
