Chapter 1779: Chapter 1776: Encountering the Zombie Again

Charlotte, a dignified Blood Prince, would never stop just because someone told her to. Not only did she not stop, she accelerated forward. Suddenly, a figure shot out, intercepting Charlotte, moving much faster than her.

Lin Tian didn’t hesitate and also dashed forward, colliding with the figure. Both exchanged blows; a thunderous sound wave ricocheted within the confined space, causing a violent reverberation that made even the experts present have their ears ring.

The wooden box on the rock shattered with a crack from the shock wave, sending the Eye of the Creator inside flying to a farther location, beyond both parties’ control.

Lin Tian and the figure separated upon collision and stood facing each other. Lin Tian glanced at the three faces: Xu Feibai, Yasuo, and one masked figure whose features were unclear.

However, upon seeing this masked man, Lin Tian frowned, for this figure was too familiar, yet his eyes were so foreign, filled with a bloodthirsty coldness.

"Xu Feibai, in the end, you still want to contend with me. But the people you brought seem a bit weak." Lin Tian scanned his two subordinates and chuckled lightly.

As if responding to Lin Tian’s words, Charlotte suddenly wielded two daggers. At the position of the Soul-devouring Blade, perhaps sensing the distant Eye of the Creator, it trembled slightly, and black light emanated automatically from the blade, very eerie.

The Soul-devouring Blade had absorbed another Eye of the Creator, related to the one in the cave with the same origin.

"Cursed power!" Yasuo exclaimed as his eyes lit up, the power he desperately needed.

"I didn’t expect that she already absorbed another Eye of the Creator. If that’s the case, Lin Tian, why are you still contending with me?" Xu Feibai instantly understood what was happening and looked at Lin Tian with curiosity.

Lin Tian shrugged, responding matter-of-factly, "The Eye of the Creator must unite as three to exert the peak power of the curse. Besides, I made promises to others; as a man, I can’t renege."

"Charlotte, go get the gemstone, ignore him." Lin Tian stared at Xu Feibai, though his words were directed at Charlotte.

The only threat here is Xu Feibai. As long as Lin Tian keeps an eye on him, Charlotte and Xiao Manxue together are unmatched.

Charlotte glanced at Xu Feibai and the others, sneered, and launched herself toward the Eye of the Creator once again. Almost simultaneously, the masked man moved, his speed surprisingly fast as he caught up behind Charlotte and swung a punch.

"Hmph!" Charlotte snorted coldly, backhanding a slash with the Soul-devouring Blade, drawing a semi-circular trajectory with its black light, dazzlingly impressive.

The masked man, aware of the Soul-devouring Blade’s menace, didn’t confront it with his fist but retreated in an unbelievable posture, dodging the blade, then swept horizontally with his leg.

The sweeping force was surprisingly immense, somewhat beyond Lin Tian’s expectations. Charlotte countered with a horizontal kick, a thud resounding; Charlotte remained unmoved while the masked man was sent retreating.

But he quickly regained his footing, unscathed. Charlotte was a vampire, yet the masked man resisted with mere flesh; though not as strong, his indomitable body was surprising.

Lin Tian’s heart stirred, thinking of something, he couldn’t help but remind, "Be careful, he’s a zombie!"

"Zombie?" Charlotte and Xiao Manxue paused, greatly shocked; Xiao Manxue was surprised by the abundance of non-human encounters recently, while Charlotte was shocked that the masked man was like Lin Tian.

As Charlotte was still surprised, the masked man suddenly took out a bottle from his body, tilted his head, pouring all the liquid into his mouth, as a rampant bloodthirsty aura spread from him.

Roar!

The masked man roared like a mad beast, his eyes swiftly turned blood-red, terrifyingly fierce.

"Blood Angel!" Lin Tian, Xiao Manxue, and Charlotte shouted almost in unison; the masked man had consumed Blood Angel to boost his power.

"Lin Tian, even though Oda Manaka modified the Blood Angel, while it’s flawed, it no longer kills the user. Feel its power."

Roar...

The masked man roared again; claws fiercely extended, growing sharp. With a swoosh, he swiped his claws at Charlotte, twice as fast as before.

Charlotte, well familiar with Blood Angel, naturally didn’t flinch. She raised the Soul-devouring Blade and slashed quickly, faster than the masked man.

Several clangs resounded as the blade clashed with the masked man’s claws, sounding like metal colliding, but the claws couldn’t withstand the Soul-devouring Blade; each collision broke a claw.

Yet the masked man’s claws seemed endless; once severed, they instantly regrew. Where they battled were shadows of claws and blades.

"Boss, I’ll go get the Eye of the Creator." Yasuo fixated on the distant gemstone, eager to proceed.

Xu Feibai continued staring at Lin Tian, silently approving. Yasuo grinned, black mist surged from his feet, a phantom emerged from the mist, darting toward the Eye of the Creator.

At this moment, Xu Feibai paused, eyeing Lin Tian more intently, ready to launch a thunderous assault upon any move from Lin Tian.

Lin Tian remained unmoving, but Xiao Manxue sprang into action; the sound of a sword unsheathing rang out, a bright white streak slashed through, striking the phantom.

With a clang, metal collision echoed, the phantom was cut squarely by the Hua Ying Sword, sent flying backward, then suspended mid-air. The phantom revealed a menacing crystal skull; uncertain if crafted from human skulls or other materials.

Haunting green flames flickered in the hollow eye sockets, black mist seeped from the nostrils, slipped into the mouth, and emerged from the ears, cycling incessantly, looking extremely eerie.

"Little girl, your sister managed to injure me; do you think you can too? Heh heh..." Yasuo released an ear-piercing laugh. Naturally, Xiao Manxue wasn’t afraid of his laughter, though his words left her momentarily stunned.

"My sister injured you?" Xiao Manxue furrowed her lovely brows, her face puzzled. She knew her sister’s condition well; injuring a Secret Master was beyond her, let alone struggling with a regular person.

Lin Tian scratched his brow, inwardly cursing, you son of a... that matter wasn’t meant for Miss to know, yet Yasuo spoke it out loud.

Sure enough, Xiao Manxue turned to Lin Tian; her sister was always with him, whatever happened, Lin Tian would know best.

"Uh... well... Miss, I’ll explain this later. Focus on dealing with Yasuo first." Lin Tian said reluctantly.

"You had better have a clear explanation!" Xiao Manxue vaguely sensed something, yet felt uneasy because her sister could only injure Yasuo’s caliber during an outburst of alien energy, which is her concern.
