Big Life - Chapter 27

Suddenly appearing in a different world, it looks like I got caught up in a Hero Summoning. And of course, I’m not the Hero, but it’s another guy……and while being very cautious and scared of the cliche of the cliche-like development, I was thrown into the maelstrom of war……or not.

The Demon Lord? It was defeated a thousand years ago. Hero? He’s just the main actor in a festival. Nobles? They’re kindly taking care of us. The Demon Race? They have good relationships with Humans. Wars? It’s already 800 years since the last one. Monsters? The Guild and Order of Knight are taking care of them. Return to Earth? It is eventually No-Risk.

What I’m planning after being caught up into this? I’m gonna enjoy the life in a different world as much as I want to, go on a cultural exchange and sightseeing, and after experiencing the festival that is only held once every ten years……I shall go home safely.

The other world was――at Peace.

SiFang Town has been bustling with liveliness recently. The town’s best-looking Young Master Wen, has been missing for half the month and then suddenly returned with a man.

The wild man, called Chu XiangTian, is the head of the bandits in the Western Mountain. Rumors said that it is a devil who kills people without blinking.

Everyone sighs incessantly, Young Master Wen is truly pitiful…

Young Master Wen, who the people said were pitiful, with widely round eyes stared fiercely, “You sleep in the study room at night!!”

Excerpt

A gentle kiss fell on her lips and a shiver ran down her spine.

“I love you.”

Her heart pounded fiercely inside her chest. These words. Oh, how she wished to hear them in her last life. She might have fainted from happiness if she had heard them at that time. But now, they didn’t bring that happiness to her heart. They only brought fear, confusion and anger, and so many questions.

“How can you…” She whispered more to herself.

How can he love her?

He heard her and stroked her cheek. The touch was so gentle that it made her feel as if she was a precious treasure. It made her feel loved.

She raised her head to look at him. The usual ice-cold-blue eyes were filled with smiles as he asked her.

“Why can’t I?”

She swallowed realizing how those eyes still affected her, realizing how weak she was. Tears surfaced through her eyes and she saw him panicking. He tried to wipe them gently as she whispered.

“You can’t……..you just can’t.”
