This is a prequel to the anime movie To Aru Majutsu no Kinsho Mokuroku – Endymion no Kiseki.

Just before the completion of the Academy City space elevator “Endymion”, the main characters Kamijou Touma and Index encounter a level 0 girl named Arisa. The Magicians are after Arisa, and they attack Academy City. A female leader named Shattoaura leads a unit from Academy City against the attack. Kamijou and Index learn from Stiyl that Arisa is key to a brewing war between the sides of Magic and Science. When science and magic cross paths, the story begins with Endymion as its stage!

In a world without gods, where the laws of magic are written by the mages themselves, balance is fragile, and darkness reigns. Multiple dimensions surround it, watched by beings with dark and greedy intentions. This is a magical universe, unstable, marked by constant changes, betrayals, and bloodshed. At the center of it all, an ordinary man emerges, carrying a biochip capable of deep analysis and data recording. With it, he embarks on a relentless journey of genetic enhancement, seeking to ascend beyond the limits of existence. Without divine protection, without charms to shield him or overwhelming powers, he must survive in a world where threats are ever-present, and the fight for survival is relentless. Here, the only rule is to conquer or be consumed. A dark fantasy filled with dangers, evolution, and the relentless pursuit of supremacy.

A conversation with a handsome stranger leaves Ariane chained in a cellar with a strange affliction. She soon discovers that the darkness of the nineteenth century’s Deep South hides many dangers. Mages, wolf shifters and the humans who hunt them play a risky game where to stumble is to die, all under the amused gaze of the apex predators of the supernatural world: vampires.

It is never healthy to attract the gaze of the aristocracy of the night. It takes much to survive in this merciless world, but Ariane will not let that deter her. The southern belle has a bite, and she is willing to learn and to grow in this hostile new world. She will use whatever means necessary to reclaim her freedom, be it guile, charm, or those intriguing new instincts that make blood so delectable.

This is a story of vampires as I believe they should be, with their strengths and weaknesses, with their remnants of humanity and the beast inside. Updates every Friday. Mind the tags.
