Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 230. They deserve it
Leo glared at Logan with an itch on his hand, one that was a result of holding a punch he wanted to deliver to Logan but was holding because Jared was present. Did he forget their reason for coming here? He should just call down before he blows their cover. He was in too much hurry to leave and his annoyance was starting to show in his expressions.
Jared was a perceptive man when it came to the nonhumans, any mistake and you will be caught. That was not something that Leo wanted to happen but it will if Logan does not control his temper well enough until they get enough information.
[Relax, will you? The call was from someone who isn’t dead yet, don’t you want to know what they will do to him?"] Leo screamed into Logan’s head. He wanted to knock his head so that he could think properly.
["Fine, but I don’t like it here,"] Logan said, smiling at Jared.
"Such a shame, I would love to show you around if you would have stayed longer," Jared said and Leo smiled, this was the opportunity needed to brush aside Logan’s words about leaving and staying longer without looking suspicious. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Wouldn’t that be a bother to you, you wouldn’t want to get in the way of your preparations," Leo said and Jared shook his head.
"Not at all, it would be my honor," He said looking at Logan who had wanted to leave.
"Then we would like that," Leo said.
Logan forced a smile and nodded his head while ranting insults at Leo for making them stay longer and blocking him out of his mind.

"We have had reports of missing people from different towns and cities and even some villages at random places, our findings have led us to the conclusion that they have been taken by these creatures, either as good or something else which we are not certain as of now," Jared said leading them into the facility.
They stopped at a room that they all recognized as a laboratory. They stood staring through the glass wall which only allowed them to see those inside but they could not see them.
"It is weird to think so because they have never taken anyone to store as food before and neither have they taken so many, it has always been that they would take those they needed to feed on and discard the bodies after that but never take them away, never to be seen again. This matter has caused panic among those that are aware of it and it is quickly getting out of hand." Jared completed what he was saying before they stopped walking.
"Where is this?" Logan asked, he knew exactly where the humans were and what they were being used for but that was something that Jared should know and he was not in the mood to talk about that.
"This is a lab," Leo said, glaring at him.
"I know that, I can see it," Logan replied, offended by the way Leo had replied to him. "What I meant was, what goes on here?" he glared back at Leo.
Jared watched their banter and assumed it , something that happened all the time amongst time since none of them looked uncomfortable with the way they talked to each other. What caught his attention was that they seemed more interested in the lab than what he was telling them about missing human beings.
"The creatures captured, whether Werewolves, vampires, or witches, are placed inside rooms like these," he replied, not spilling too much information before he gave them to the wrong people.
"Do you plan to use them as the bargaining chip to get everyone back?" Leo asked. He had been the look Jared had given them after Logan’s question. He hoped this would ease the situation a bit.
"That would be good if they would listen," he said, turning to look at the door behind them where they had just come through.
The family that was just recently captured was being carried in or dragged like a sack behind them. They stepped aside creating a path for them to walk through. The door to the room where they had been standing was opened and the family was taken inside. They were then tied to experimental tables and a team of scientists walked inside as if they had been tailing behind the soldiers.
Jared watched the expressions on the faces of Leo and Logan, looking to see any changes that would occur with them again a family of shifters taken in that way. They didn’t look like vampires, it was easier to identify a vampire, especially for someone who had spent years studying them. If they were to be anything other than humans, they had to be werewolves or the rare male witches.
If they were to be shifters, they would react because they could see their own, if they were witches, then it was used to tell. Seeing no reaction from them, he assumed that he was just being suspicious for no reason. He believed that even if they were witches, they should have given him. Sign that they were not happy with what they were doing to the no humans, after all, they fell under the same classification.
"We have decided to do something with them, we want to find out what those they have captured are being used for, we would find out using any means necessary,"
"Do you think the child would know what is being done with them or where they are?" Leo asked, trying hard not to frown, he had had the urge to take the puo from the hands of those soldiers, if he could not have the parents, he could have at least saved the pup.
"No, but the parents should," Jared replied as he looked at the room.
"You would use him to threaten his parents," Logan said and Jared missed his head. This was painful and the questioning hadn’t even started yet. "You will kill them all if they have no idea," he said again.
"They deserve it, all of them, they all deserve death," Jared said and Lei balled his fists. He was now the one who needed to calm down and think. He and his mate had been hoping for a pup of their own but here was a couple who had managed to get one yet he would be used against them because he was their weakness. His eyes fluctuated, flashing gild for just a brief second before his calm returned.
"Have you ever caught a vampire?" He asked instead of letting his anger consume him.
"No," was Jared’s reply.
