"My lord, I’ll talk!"

The flustered Randy immediately said this after feeling the hateful gazes and killing intents of everyone present around him.

He went forward as he shivered from the hateful gaze of everyone present.

At that moment, he realized that his only chance of survival was to talk.

He actually thought he had hidden himself well.

When he saw the woman called Edith killing the leader almost instantly, he immediately guessed that they were in the opposite camp. When the other bandits decided to run away, he remained still, snuck at the backs of the captives, and pretended to be one of them to avoid suspicion.

Alas, he did not realize that he was still seen through by Journey.

Without another choice, he could only talk. There was no use hiding it anyway, as all those directly involved were now more or less dead.

He arrived in front of Journey and began to explain the motives and plans behind their actions.

However, he did not want to alert the Red Family and the other forces, so he let Kram lead this operation after he successfully obtained a Silver Grade Tiny Mammoth as well as a place that can act as our temporary hideout for the whole operation."

Hearing the motives, Miguel’s interest was immediately piqued. A treasure that could help its user summon their grimoire in an instant was very valuable in this world.

He reckoned that even those who could summon their grimoire in an instant would still think of it as something valuable.

After all, a split second difference between a fight of experts would be enough to conclude a battle of a high level.

If the treasure was real, he also guessed that its uses were not limited to that particular function.

At the side, Erika merely scoffed upon hearing Randy’s words, "Ridiculous and childish. Who would believe such rumors? If it were real, then the Red Family would have already sent people to search for that treasure and obtain it for ourselves! "

Hearing that, Miguel’s eyes immediately narrowed into curiosity. "Fiery Empress, huh?"

A smile surfaced under his lizard mask as he continued to ask more questions from Randy.

Fearing for his life and in the hopes of getting spared by Mister Journey, Randy answered all the questions truthfully and honestly.

With the existence of Miguel’s Innate Skill, there was nothing to worry about him not telling the truth at all.

After a few minutes of answering his questions, Miguel nodded satisfyingly and said, "Well, you answered all my questions truthfully, so I’ll spare your life."

Hearing that, joy instantly flashed in Randy’s eyes. His honesty paid off, and his life was no longer in danger.

He heaved a sigh of relief as he decided to confirm it once more: "My lord, is that real?"

Miguel nodded his head and said, "Yes. I am willing to spare your life, but...

Miguel paused and pointed behind his back casually.

"But instead of worrying about my opinion, you should ask them if they are willing to spare you."

Randy’s eyes went wide as he realized what Journey was talking about.

He turned around and saw the hateful gazes of everyone present.

Erika, Randy, Murphy, and the other summoners, as well as the innocent servant that got implicated on this trip, looked at him with killing intent in their eyes.

All of them looked at him as though they were trying to skin him alive. If looks could kill, Randy might have already died a thousand times by now.

"N-no. N-no. N-no!"

Panic was written all over his face as he stood up and decided to run away from the hateful gazes of the people around him as far as possible.

His previous calmness was nowhere to be seen as he hurried away from the group.

Unfortunately, there was no way he could outrun all the people, especially with how panicky he was running.

They immediately caught him a few moments later, bashed his head with a rock, and killed him just like that.

Surprisingly enough, the ones who did all the damage were actually the normal servants and not Murphy or the Grimoire Summoners.

For them, all these farces originate because of Randy.

His betrayal was even more hurtful, as they thought of him as someone even willing to protect them during the demonized beast attack a few days ago.

Since he was the only one alive among the bandits, he received all the hate that should have been shared with the other bandits. In the end, he was killed brutally by the servants themselves.

After that incident, Miguel clapped his hand to gather everyone’s attention. He then told them to gather all the demonized beast corpses in the middle as he waved his hands to reveal a jet-black grimoire now emitting a rainbow-like hue.

He then waved his hands in the air and stored all the demonized beast corpses inside the grimoire with the awestruck gazes of the people around him.

It was a known fact that only Silver Grade and above Grimoires had the ability to store inanimate objects inside them.

Although they could already tell that Mister Journey was a very strong summoner with how strong his Innate Beast was, it was still a different matter when they confirmed that his grimoire was at least Silver Grade.

On the other hand, Erika and Gasper could only look at him in envy and awe. They knew that his grimoire was just a Bronze Grade a few days ago.

They wondered if he was lying to them back then or if he just promoted his grimoire recently.

After recalling the demonized beast corpses around them earlier, though, they immediately guessed the answer to their questions.

Both of them sighed as they knew that Miguel had truly overtaken them at this moment, and there was no longer any hope to catch up.

Gasper had his face down and was especially demotivated upon realizing that his ’rival’ had already started to fly while he was just learning to crawl.

At the next moment, Gasper suddenly felt his point of view shifting away from its original position as he fell to the ground face first.

Unknowingly, Miguel had already arrived and kicked his butt with a satisfied laugh.
