The changes on his status page at the grimoire’s first page was astronomical.

Miguel looked at his level and noticed how he skipped Beginner Warrior Martial Artist and directly became Intermediate Warrior Martial Artist after he broke through to the Third Stage of the Return of Origin technique’s Cleansing Realm.

In terms of beasts level, he was now as strong as a Level 5 Normal Grade, and could even contend with a Level 3 Bronze Grade with pure physical alone. Defeating a Level 1 Silver Grade with his current strength should also not be a problem with his various means and skills.

However, a Level 2 Silver Grade was already another matter.

The higher the grade, the more a beast’s strength would increase when they level up.

A Level 5 Normal Grade might be able to fight with a Level 2 Bronze Grade, but a Level 5 Bronze Grade would surely not be able to defeat a Level 2 Silver Grade.

The same could be said to Gold Grade and Silver Grade.

The difference in levels would be easily surmounted by their grade.

Normally, a Level 1 Gold Grade should not be able to defeat a Level 4 Silver Grade, but when the Gold Grade leveled up to Level 2, the Level 4 Silver Grade would actually be easily suppressed.

Miguel has made some extraordinary progress on his physical strength. If anyone were to learn of this, they would surely see him as a freak or a monster.

After all, increasing a rank as a Martial Artist was never an easy task. Even Murphy himself only managed to reach Beginner Novice Martial Artist after countless years of training and near-death experience, increasing to a higher level would become even more difficult for him due to his lack of talent and fortuitous encounters.

With his current strength, Miguel became even more confident about saving Erika, Gasper and the others.

He looked at the direction of the Ghost Wail Mountain with a smile on his face.

For now though, Miguel decided to rest for the night, as he knew that he will have a hectic search tomorrow.

With the [Divine Sense] active, Miguel climbed up a tree and tied himself on a thick branch. Although he knew that no other beast would dare wander around the Volcanic Wyrm’s territory for now, it was still better to be safe than sorry.

He wrapped the Volcanic Wyrm Sword with some tree husk that he carved out earlier before he placed it on his waist. He doesn’t have a scabbard at the moment so he could only do this.

In order for the [Divine Sense] to work perfectly like a sphere-like vision, Miguel would have to focus so that he could penetrate the hard ground below and ’see’ what was beneath it.

Climbing up a tree allowed him to ’passively’ use the [Divine Sense], allowing him to sense the area below him even without having his whole focus poured into it.

With [Divine Sense] being active, Miguel quickly dozed off as he was quite tired already.

Time quickly passed by when Miguel snapped his eyes open after hearing an eerie sound that echoed throughout the place.

Wooooo! Woooooo! Wooooo!

Continuous high pitch wails suddenly entered his ears, startling him awake.

A frown appeared on his face as he recalled the Ghost Wail Mountain’s eerie reputation.

It was said that a ghost wail would be heard throughout the entire night in areas near the Ghost Wail Mountain, hence its name.

The source of this wail has never been confirmed, and no one dared to find out anymore after a few who tried to do so never returned.

At first, Miguel did not think that it was real, and only attributed it as a beast’s howl like a wolf or something. However, hearing it first hand now, Miguel did not believe that this was a beast’s howling sound. His intuition told him that it was not, and that it was something entirely different.

Miguel’s curiosity was piqued by such a strange and eerie sound.

He looked up and noticed that the moon was full tonight, adding to eeriness of the situation.

It did not make Miguel afraid though.

The brightness of the moon just made his curiosity towards the eerie sound peak even more.

Jumping off the tree branch, Miguel traced the direction of the sound and started following it bravely.

He would not be able to sleep with this strange sound anyways, why not explore it, and at the same time, close his distance towards the Ghost Wail Mountain?

Wanting to satiate his curiosity, Miguel walked towards the direction of the wailing sound in the middle of the night.

With his [Divine Sense] being casted, he was not afraid of being ambushed by a dangerous beast at all.

Time passed as Miguel noticed that the distance between him and the Ghost Wail Mountain shortened with each step.

The wailing noise continued, yet strangely enough, Miguel still did not feel that he was close to the source of the sound.

The sound was loud and clear enough in his ears, yet he also felt that it was still very far.

He took a small rest and planned to continue the search when his [Divine Sense] picked up something.

A fast moving object immediately entered his peripheral vision.

Miguel abruptly stood up and pulled out the Volcanic Wyrm Sword tied on his waist.

Miguel did not have the time to unwrap the Volcanic Wyrm Sword earlier. A black beast lunged towards him at extreme speed. Miguel did not waste any time as he immediately slashed out in front of him.

Swoosh!

The tree husk was cut as Miguel felt that the sword managed to strike a black beast that jumped towards him.

With how sharp the Volcanic Wyrm Sword was, Miguel obviously felt that the black beast was cut in half.

However, he soon realized that he was extremely wrong.
