I Can Contract Beauties - Chapter 68: Normal Evaluation
At the tip of an enormous rock, Miguel sat cultivating, basking in the heat of the morning sun. ππ£πππ°πππ§πΌπππ.π°π¨π¦
At the distance in front of him was Ghost Wail Mountain which was still far away. It was enormous and Miguel did not know when he would arrive at the foot of such a humongous mountain.
Although he was in a hurry to save those kids, Miguel would not delay his cultivation because of it. It was more so after he realized that every time he cleansed his body, the more drops of Origin Energy he would need.
He only needed 1 drop of Origin Energy during the first and second cleansing, while he needed a total of six drops when he cleansed his body for the third time. He estimated that the number should increase even more during his next cleansing.
This was due to the fact that his body was now growing accustomed to the Origin Energy, and he would now need more of them to stimulate and strengthen it.
Not even an hour later, a drop of rainbow-colored Origin Energy materialized at the top of his grimoire, right beside the drop of Origin Energy that he has been using to cast his skills.
After this drop of Origin Energy was refined, Miguel realized that the reserve energy inside the grimoire had not been emptied, unlike the previous instances. Miguel thought that this must be due to the grimoireβs recent upgrade to Intermediate Bronze Grade.
He also sensed his surroundings and noticed that there were still some spare Summoning Energies around. He closed his eyes once again to help the grimoire absorb them to refill its energy reserves.
Miguel opened his eyes a few minutes later, the energies around him were finally sucked dry.
He jumped off the rock and started walking forward once more.
The last demonized beast he encountered was the Night Finch. It made him wonder if the demonized beasts only appeared during the night as this was what he had experienced so far.
However, according to Murphy, he met a demonized beast during the day before, which made Miguel confused as to what was truly going on with the demonized beasts he encountered so far.
The wailing had stopped since earlier. It seems that the legend of the wails only resounding during the night was true.
As he walked forward, Miguelβs [Divine Sense] was on full blast, covering the area around him fully. He knew that the forest was dangerous and full of danger so he could not let his guard down.
Beast would often appear at a very random moment.
And at the next moment, Miguel finally managed to βsenseβ the first beast since the Night Finch.
Hiding behind a tall grass, Miguel looked at the beast that was a few meters away from him. He observed for a moment and was relieved to find that it was not a demonized beast this time.
In fact, Miguel actually knew of this beast from the book he got from Erika before.
The appearance of the Night Finch has already changed after it was demonized so Miguel was not able to recognize it at first glance.
However, the beast in front of him was still normal and looked exactly the same as the illustration in that book.
This beast was called Meadow Hare. It was a Level 1 Normal Grade beast and was not considered harmful by the bookβs description. It was as big as the hare that Miguel killed previously.
Miguel summoned the grimoire, raised the Volcanic Wyrm Sword and aimed it at the Meadow Hare. He pulled his arm back, and threw the Volcanic Wyrm Sword towards the Meadow Hare. Like an arrow released from a bow, the Volcanic Wyrm Sword traveled at extreme speed towards the Meadow Hare.
And without a suspense, the Level 1 Normal Grade Meadow Hare was pinned to the ground and died without even knowing why.
For this level of beast, Miguel no longer needs to spend a lot of effort to eliminate them. A single strike was enough.
[Defeated Level 1 Normal Grade Meadow Hare with a Normal Performance- User is rewarded with 4 Experience Points.]
[Defeated Level 1 Normal Grade Meadow Hare with a Normal Performance- Grimoire is rewarded with 1 Experience Point.]
Miguel tilted his head at these new entries. He had long heard from Erika that this was usually the amount of experience points that they would receive if they won a fight.
She said that only genius will be evaluated with Outstanding and Perfect Performance during a fight, and most Grimoire Summoners would be evaluated with just a mere Normal or Good Performances.
The evaluation depends on the Worldβs Will, but according to Erika, the more there was a challenge, the higher your performance evaluation will be. Summoners who fight lower leveled enemies would receive less experience points and evaluation, preventing the strong from purposely oppressing the weak.
Rare cases such as surviving a dangerous situation and fighting a much stronger enemy would mean a higher evaluation as well, but Sumoners were not suicidal enough to seek danger just to get a higher evaluation.
Those who purposely fight lower leveled beasts to try and gain good evaluation for multiplied experience points would also be evaluated with a Bad or Very Bad evaluation, and there might be a chance that the experiences they painstakingly accumulated would be deducted.
On the other hand, this was the first time Miguelβs fight had been evaluated as Normal and hence only received such a measly amount of experience points.
Nevertheless, as the Meadow Hare was only a Level 1 Normal Grade Beast, he could accept this evaluation as being fair.
It seems that he could not just blindly attack lower level beast from now on and he must have some restraint, lest he get evaluated as someone purposely killing low level beast for experience points.
However, as long as his intention was not to farm experience points, he should be fine.
He emerged from the bushes and picked the Volcanic Wyrm Sword that had skewered the Meadow Hare.
His stomach was rumbling, and it was now finally time to prepare breakfast.
