My Tribrid System: More than a Monster
Chapter 334: A not so Good Idea!
Chapter 332
There was plenty of room for the teens to move without feeling cramped.
Ray didn’t waste a second as he rushed toward the furry bed and crashed into it, while the others walked around curiously examining the lair.
The Tribrid wasn’t interested in any of that as he summoned his system to take a look, when Bruce’s voice cut through his thoughts.
«Hpmh. You actually managed to defeat the creature, huh?»
’Just don’t forget our bet. I will summon you when I really need your help.’
«Werewolves are known to keep their promises so I will do so. Don’t worry.»
«Ray,» Elyon called out with a tinge of worry in his voice.
«... I know you are busy and actively trying to get back to Alcatraz, but I have to ask; what steps do you plan on taking to help us regain our memories?
I mean, I don’t really care about being in your mindspace but I still need to know who I am beyond the fact that I’m a celestial stuck with you.
If we could have our memories back, we could assist you better, and I don’t know why, but I have such a heavy, bad feeling about the fragmented memories I told you about.»
’Fragment—’
That was when Ray’s eyes widened as he recalled the early days of when he met the duo in his mind.
They had spoken about... death. Terror. Bloodshed.
A being so powerful that multiple races had to join hands together, yet they still couldn’t defeat it.
Honestly, he had forgotten about all that after asking Felix whether he knew anything about any war but getting no proper answer.
His predicament needed urgent attention, so he had blocked out all distractions and decided not to care about the so-called threat the beings in his mind tried recalling.
But yes,
’I don’t know how I’m to go about your memories, to be honest. I thought that by taking that pill from the Earth Shaker and with its effects, you all would regain your memories or something.’
He thought for a few seconds about what he could do, but the idea coming to mind was quite dangerous to conclude on.
«I can sense you thinking about something. What is it?» Elyon questioned calmly.
’I-I-I’m thinking of a somewhat sure way to break the seal on your memories. Actually, two ways even.’
«Which are?» Bruce asked, seemingly intrigued.
’One.... Either to grow so strong... stronger than whoever placed the seal on your memories, which will allow it to shatter. Or...’
«Or what?» Bruce asked with a raised brow.
Ray shattered inwardly at the thought of the idea in his mind, then sighed.
’Or we either go to the werewolf world or visit the Celestial realm, and maybe, just maybe, you both might recall something or we might even find someone there who could help.’
«Er... I don’t know about you, and I might not recall much, but I think visiting the werewolf world is a bad idea. Judging by what you are, it’s not difficult to figure out that you will be tagged an abomination and maybe hunted,»
Bruce chuckled darkly before slowly walking back to his dark corner.
’And you think I don’t know that? That’s why I’m worried. I already have enough on my plate. The Aberrants and then worrying about my secret not being revealed to humanity otherwise I would be hunted too.
Now, I have to worry about the werewolves and celestials hunting me? Man.... I’m already developing a headache.’
«Good for you.» Bruce laughed as he settled down into his dark corner and then, he decided to become unreachable as usual.
«Then I guess your clear option is to grow stronger.» Elyon sighed.
’Well, that was always my plan.’
"...."
’Now if you will excuse me, I want to check on my rewards.’
The boy’s eyes gleamed dangerously and greedily as he turned his attention back to his system.
He could hear the others arguing about something, but he decided to block out all sounds and focus solely on his system screen before him.
’Let’s see....’
[Congratulations Host! You have defeated an Undead Herald.]
’Er....? An Undead what?’
[An Undead Herald is a being capable of harnessing both the power and ability to control the dead and also fight physically.]
’Oh? So a mix between a necromancer and a warrior?’
[Yup.]
’Hpmh. Continue....’

[DING!]
[The System Shop Interface has just been unlocked.]
’Huh? Shop? Man. Man. I’m getting overwhelmed.’ Ray groaned inwardly as he decided to take a deep breath before calming himself down.
’Firstly, show me my status tab.’

’Okay. That’s looking cool so far. My only regret is that I won’t be able to increase my other attributes... sigh...’
Shaking his head, Ray decided to look at the bright side.
’And will you look at that. I’m just ten levels away from level thirty.’
His mood was slightly uplifted when,
«Oh. Will you look at that too. The exp counter is back to zero and the bar to the next level is high up. Ha!» Bruce laughed as he was suddenly standing directly beside the boy.
Then, Ray’s mood darkened immediately as he stared at the system screen.
How was he supposed to reach level thirty in time for an evolution now?
He would love to evolve in this world before he returned back to Alcatraz.
He wouldn’t want to randomly start going through that pain in front of the Corps.
At least here, his friends had already experienced it before so they wouldn’t question him much.
But with the bar, would he be able to do so in time?
He had no idea.
With a tired sigh, he decided to shove that thought to the side.
’Let’s see what the system shop is all about.’
