Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement
Chapter 1053 - 1049: Is It So Hard to Marry Me?
When Luke Land returned to the hotel, he saw Eva Miller lying on the bed, already asleep.
She was wearing a light blue sheer nightgown, its length barely covering her thighs, and perhaps because she wasn’t wearing a bra, the softness at her chest was faintly visible...
Without the slightest defense, she lay there on the bed, her clean face missing its usual fierceness, replaced by a somewhat gentle cuteness.
Luke’s body stiffened slightly for a moment as he tried to adjust his breathing rhythm.
He couldn’t forget the passionate time they spent together in the United States; the mesmerizing feel of her body was truly unforgettable.
He placed the food he had bought on the table, accidentally making a bit of noise, which immediately stirred Eva, causing her to open her eyes.
"Wow, it smells so good." Eva sat up from the bed and was about to get up to feast when she suddenly remembered something.
She looked down at her full chest, and her face immediately flushed red.
She quickly grabbed the bra she had tossed aside and rushed to the bathroom.
She had a habit of not wearing a bra to sleep. When Luke left to buy things for her, she just wanted to sleep for a while...
After putting on her bra and dawdling for a bit, she finally stepped out of the bathroom.
Eva sat down by the dining table, "Hey, are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?"
Luke shook his head.
"There are still some things at the company that need to be handled. I’ll head over there first. Call me if you need anything," Luke said and turned to leave.
"Wait a minute." Eva stood up and quickly walked over to him, "I have something to say to you."
Luke didn’t say a word, just looked down at her.
"You see... My parents are pushing me to marry you now. But, honestly, we don’t have any feelings for each other, and the child isn’t yours either. If we get married, I’m afraid the marriage won’t mean much. Can you talk to my dad and tell him you won’t marry me? You’re the second young master of the Golden Era Consortium; my dad, a common man, can’t really oppose you," Eva said persuasively.
No feelings? The child isn’t his?
Ha, Luke’s lips curled into a bitter smile. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Little Chili, is marrying me really that hard?"
"Hard! How could it not be hard?" Eva looked at Luke for a long time, then finally spoke sullenly, "How can I marry you with Brother Johnson’s child? Saying it like that is unfair to you."
"Can you not mention Oliver Johnson, please?" For once, Luke’s face showed slight impatience towards Eva.
"Okay, I won’t mention him..." Eva muttered softly, "Are you or aren’t you going to explain things to my dad?"
Explain things? She wanted to clear things with him just like that?
"No."
"You!" Eva was anxious, "Luke Land, don’t mess with me! You just want me to marry you like this — it’s absolutely impossible!"
"Whether it’s possible or not, you’ll know for yourself when the time comes." He left behind an ambiguous statement, then strode out of the room, leaving Eva stomping anxiously in place. Luke, that man, usually easy to talk to and good-tempered, was impossibly stubborn when it came to the topic of marrying her, giving her no leeway.
She suddenly realized she was already stuck in a dilemma.
With no other option, the only thing she could think of was to call her good friend Sophie Smith for help.
