Chapter 111: Chapter 110: Warbands and the Dragon Vein Gluttonous Demon

"With fiery flames and steel as witness!"

Galos said in a deep voice, "I, Galos, the Red and Iron Dragon, will lead you to glory and grant you rebirth!"

The monsters knelt down one by one.

"With fiery flames and steel as witness, the Molten Iron People will pledge eternal loyalty to you for generations to come!"

They felt as if they were witnessing a segment of history worth remembering, their hearts filled with unique emotions. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Remember your oath today." The dragon’s roar soared to the sky: "When my wings cover the blazing sun, your names will be etched in history alongside the Molten Iron People!"

Subsequently, Galos continued to appoint the clan members.

He abolished the distinction between clans, but since different factions had varied habits and social customs, mingling could easily cause issues. Thus, he turned to differentiating them by battle groups.

The names of the battle groups were not completely finalized and temporarily continued their previous clan names.

——Bone-Chewing Warband, Red Eye Battle Group, Split Claw Battle Group, Howling Moon Battle Group.

The Gorging Demon Kalu was temporarily appointed as Legion Commander.

Former clan leaders like Blood Fang Hodgson, Russell, and War Lizardfolk Nala were of the next rank as Battle Team Leaders, with appointments of leaders under them left to the battle team leaders themselves.

Each battle group was also assigned a position of Melting Iron Priest, filled by mages and shamans chosen by Galos.

The Melting Iron Priest held veto power over the battle team leader’s proposals and could seek Galos’s judgment in case of dispute, ranking above the battle team leader but unable to command the battle group, directly loyal to Galos, essentially acting as his eyes and ears.

"Considering the current scale of each battle group, calling them a battle group is somewhat presumptuous."

"However, the future holds promise."

After completing the appointments, Galos rewarded the bravest and most audacious Gorging Demon for its outstanding performance by formally bestowing upon it Dragon Vein Transformation.

He granted Kalu supreme authority over all battle groups, second only to himself.

Of course, its absolute loyalty had to be ensured.

Dragon Vein Transformation was essential.

More importantly, fighting the Diamond Giant had left Galos significantly injured, and he had lost a lot of blood. This Dragon Blood couldn’t be wasted—it was timely for transforming a Dragon Vein Follower.

Subsequently.

Several battle team leaders and Melting Iron Priests followed Galos to the deep pit where the Diamond Giant had fallen and died.

Here lay a pool of blood gathered from Galos’s Dragon Blood.

The reason for bringing along other clan leaders was to have them witness the empowerment of the Gorging Demon through Dragon Vein Transformation, thereby stimulating their enthusiasm.

Galos led the Gorging Demon down into the pit, while the other followers watched from the edge.

Then, under the admiring gazes of other followers, Galos, following the inherited records, began the Dragon Vein Transformation for the Gorging Demon.

He chanted the obscure and ancient Dragon Language.

Mana gathered in his claws, which were stained with Dragon Blood, as he engraved special runes in the blood pool. As the runes and the ancient Dragon Language incantations progressed, an invisible vortex seemed to appear in the blood pool, starting to spin.

In an instant, all the blood compressed into a single blood orb, suspended in mid-air.

As the last syllable from Galos’s mouth fell, the blood orb suddenly ignited, the high temperature and heat distorting the air, resembling lava.

"Kalu, consume it."

Galos said.

The Gorging Demon didn’t hesitate; gazing at the dangerous, lava-like blood orb, it stepped forward, opened its massive maw, and swallowed it whole.

"I don’t feel anything."

Smacking its lips, Kalu rumbled in a muffled voice.

Immediately after, as if in response, extreme heat rose from its stomach.

Kalu’s skin turned unnaturally crimson, as if magma coursed beneath the surface.

Its pupils contracted into pinpoints, a painful gurgle emanated from its throat, and it half-knelt on the ground, spewing scorching streams of fire from its mouth—the first sign of Dragon Blood altering its life essence.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

It seemed as though immense pain tormented it, driving it to crazily pound the ground.

And as time passed calmly, with the pit’s repeated tremors.

Kalu’s gray skin began to crack and shed, revealing red Dragon Scales emerging from within.

A few of its teeth became particularly stout and sharp, protruding against the upper and lower jaws.

Its horns started sweeping backward, growing more menacing and fierce.

Spinal bones burst through its back, forming three rows of spikes, with the tailbone directly piercing through flesh, extending longer until it became a new tail.

Its limbs and torso became more muscular, bulging with layers of muscles like cast iron.

Finally.

Kalu gained traits belonging to the Dragon Race, specifically the Red Dragon: in addition to the Gorging Demon’s essence, it carried a sulfur-like scent and gained a trace of Red Dragon Blood in its being, unlike Galos’s dual mixed heritage.

The Dragon Vein Transformation was successfully completed.

Kalu stood up, breathing heavily, its entire body emanating a stronger presence and Long Wei than before.

After regaining composure, it threw back its head, unleashing a long howl mixing the roars of a dragon and an ogre, announcing the birth of a new existence.

Then suddenly, Kalu dropped to one knee, the ground shaking and small stones bouncing, while its nascent Dragon Tail gouged grooves into the earth.

"By molten iron and Dragon Blood as witness—"

It issued another loyalty declaration to Galos, speaking solemnly: "—May my flesh and blood become the cornerstone of your throne, my soul the fierce wind beneath your wings!"

Galos gazed at the Dragon Vein Gorging Demon, clearly sensing its mental activity.

Its awe, its respect, its loyalty reached the pinnacle, willing to give its life without hesitation.

At this point.

Under Galos’s command was a powerful champion, a Dragon Vein Follower.

When encountering minor troubles in the future, he no longer needed to handle them personally; he could focus more on strengthening himself, concentrating on his training and evolution.

A bit unfortunate, though.

Kalu had inherited the Red Dragon Bloodline, not the Iron Dragon. If it had gained the Iron Dragon Bloodline, its intelligence might have been further enhanced, particularly in managing territories.

Most Iron Dragons dream of establishing a Dragon Empire, possessing substantial aptitude for territorial governance; Iron Dragon Lady’s domain was well-organized and thoughtfully planned.

Pastures, outposts, armies, logistics.

Clearly defined roles and an orderly structure.

Galos’s knowledge of The Prince and lordship theory was derived from Iron Dragon heritage.

As for the Red Dragon heritage... the territorial management knowledge was straightforward—kill!

Those disobedient, kill.

Those not doing their jobs well, kill.

Those displeasing, kill!

Red Dragons prefer to maintain rule through violent means, but this can easily backfire. Galos leans more towards the management style in the Iron Dragon heritage.

Next.

The followers carried the remnants of the Diamond Giant back to the Giant Camp to clean up.

Ultimately, a squad of Ogre from the Bone-Chewing Warband was left there, in charge of guarding the Earth Vein Symbiotic Pool, personally led by Kalu’s brother, Ogre Ugo.

This nameless highland that witnessed the birth of the Molten Iron Clan was later named the Quenching Highlands by Galos.
