A Hospital in Another World?-Chapter 798: Watching the Silver Coin Rain Fall on the Dragon Nest
Cirella stood on the small ridge, her gaze inching upward, bit by bit.
Garrett’s mage tower, a nine-story high mage tower, was already majestic in scale. Mages building mage towers is not like the developers in Garrett’s previous life building residential buildings, where the ceilings almost squeeze down to 3 meters—
Oh, not even 3 meters. According to the "Residential Building Design Standards", the typical residential floor height should be 2.80 meters. The net height of bedrooms and living rooms (halls) should not be less than 2.40 meters. 3 meters?
Including the floor thickness, 3 meters is nonexistent! An extra 0.1 meter in height means an additional 0.1 meter of material cost. Building a dozen or more floors adds so much weight that the foundation needs to be reinforced!
But it’s different for mages building mage towers; they value openness and comfort. Moreover, Garrett’s nine-story tower, including the pointed roof, reaches up to 50 meters tall. In Garrett’s previous life, that would equate to the height of a 16-story building, and the small hill beneath it further elevates its visual impact.
Standing on the top floor and looking out far and wide, one could directly see the shimmering sea.
Now, the entire mage tower had thickened significantly and grown taller. Its original pointed and steep form had transformed into something stubbier.
Using a phrase from Garrett’s previous life, "Leifeng Pagoda as an old monk, Baochu Pagoda as a beauty". This mage tower had indeed fallen from a beauty to an old monk.
“How could this be… how could this be…”
Cirella’s lips pouted higher and higher, her eyebrows furrowed, and the corners of her eyes drooped, almost to the point of shedding tears in grievance.
Garrett’s mage tower, so neatly and beautifully constructed, how could it suddenly become so fat and ugly! Just like, um, just like her figure, turning into Bernard’s! Oh no, even fatter!
Unbearable to look at!
Garrett, standing beside her, felt a bit embarrassed. He tugged at the hem of the Silver Dragon Miss’s clothing:
"Cirella, don’t be upset, there’s a reason for the renovation of the mage tower... come with me, and you’ll understand..."
They descended the mountain and entered the mage tower. From the tower gate, Cirella noticed that everyone greeting her wore mysterious, excited smiles:
"Miss Cirella, you’re back?"
"Miss Cirella, long time no see!"
"Miss Cirella, have you seen~ the~ renovations~ to~ the~ tower?"
Cirella looked left and right, her expression growing more and more puzzled. Why did everyone seem to think the tower’s renovation was a happy occasion, and that she should be pleased?
It was plainly ugly!
Garrett pulled her up the elevator. It ascended and ascended, reaching the ninth floor but still didn’t stop, nor did the doors open.
Cirella turned her head doubtfully towards Garrett. Seeing his smiling face, standing quietly as if nothing mattered, she waited until the extra pressure under her feet completely vanished before turning her head and saying softly:
"Ding—"
The elevator doors silently slid open. Cirella leaped out eagerly, her eyes widening in surprise:
"Wow—"
So big!
So big!
Such a huge hall!
Although it was smaller than her aunt’s living room, and also smaller than the Dragon’s Nest Hotel, it was still very spacious!
She couldn’t help but spread her arms wide, tiptoeing, and spun around in place. Her posture was light and graceful, her skirt silently swirling, blossoming into a vibrant flower:
"Garrett! You’re wonderful!"
No wonder the mage tower had to be widened so much!
No wonder the tower had grown so much taller!
The added height was for her dragon’s nest, and the widening was to make her dragon’s nest as spacious as possible!
The extensive renovations to the mage tower showed how much effort and cost Garrett had put into it!
The Silver Dragon Miss’s eyes, mouth, and skirt, her whole person shimmered. After twirling around twice, she rushed over and hung onto Garrett’s neck. Feeling it wasn’t enough, she wrapped her arms around his waist and spun him around once, then again:
"You’re really wonderful! Such a big! Such a big dragon’s nest!"
Garrett: "…cough cough cough cough!"
Lady, you’re hugging too tight!
Relax a bit!
I can’t breathe!
Unfortunately, his strength was nothing to Cirella, at least barely significant. She held—rather, strangled him, spinning around over ten times before he managed to pat her on the back:
"Put me down! Put me down! I still have a gift for you!!!" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
After struggling and shouting, Garrett was finally let down. He walked out a dozen steps, flicking his fingers continuously to reapply various protective spells on himself before slapping his space bag—
"Look!"
Two large wooden crates successively fell to the ground, and besides the dull thud, a crisp metallic clinking sound faintly emanated from inside the boxes. Cirella’s eyes lit up, just as she was about to step forward, Garrett already snapped his fingers:
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
The crate lids instantly flew open under the force of magic, revealing boxes full of gleaming silver coins. Then, two large force hands flew out, one lifting each side:
"Hey—yo!"
"Clatter clatter clatter clatter—"
The crates overturned, and the silver coins rolled around noisily. Cirella stood there, staring at the brilliant coins before her, her silver-blue eyes nearly turning the color of the coins.
It was not until a silver coin rolled to her boot tip and gently bumped against it that she jolted awake, bent down to pick up the coin, twirled it between her fingers, and then bit down hard:
"Crack," Garrett shivered.
He watched as the silver coin deformed, bent, and split in half between Cirella’s fine, sharp teeth. The Silver Dragon Miss even licked the broken edge before raising her face, laughing as she asked him:
"Garrett, is this for me? Is this really for me?"
"It’s for you!" Garrett caught his breath, nodding vigorously:
"For your bed! Here are a hundred thousand silver coins. I’ve calculated it, if only laid in one layer, when you curl up, wings tucked in, head buried under your wings, it should... could... be enough to make a bed..."
The more he spoke, the more guilty he felt. Making a bed for a dragon, not using gold coins, but silver coins, only laying one layer, and having her curl up to sleep...
That was too miserable! If he were any stingier, he’d just have to gold-plate the ground...
However, Cirella didn’t mind that at all. Her eyes gleamed as she watched the chaotically rolling coins and suddenly waved her hand. In an instant, Garrett saw all the silver coins floating up...
What a magnificent sight!
A hundred thousand silver coins, like a hundred thousand silver stars, floated and undulated in the air. Circling around Cirella, they gently swayed, twirling joyfully.
Each coin scattered the light from the illumination spells cast from the ceiling into thousands of strands. The light adorned around the Silver Dragon Miss, and at a glance, she looked like a pure white peacock, displaying her shimmering tail feathers...
Garrett stood wide-eyed, overwhelmed by the beauty before him, unable to move for a moment. Cirella tilted her face upwards, catching the silver light as she spun around, then again, becoming more and more joyous.
Soon, the floating silver coins also began to spin with her movements, whipping up a silver tornado. The faster it spun, the denser it became, almost completely obscuring Cirella’s tall figure.
After countless spins, Cirella finally spread her arms wide, tilted her head back, and closed her eyes. A clinking sound rang out as the silver tornado suddenly burst outward, dispersing into a cloud, then fell like raindrops.
A rain of a hundred thousand silver coins!
Garrett sincerely sighed. He instinctively reached out, and a coin that perfectly avoided him fell into his palm. The surface of the silver coin was slightly warm.
The area of the rain cloud was not large, about five or six meters wide and ten or so meters long, roughly the size of the area Cirella would occupy when curled up to sleep. Falling from the sky, the coins rolled and collided on the ground, quickly covering the floor brilliantly.
Of course, it wasn’t entirely even; some areas piled up a bit, while others exposed large patches of ground. Cirella didn’t mind, nor did she adjust by hand, but again waved her hand into the air:
"Rise!"
Shiny magical ores spilled all over the ground on the silver coin bed, forming a small, raised mound. Following that, brilliant gold coins, shiny magic crystals, and dazzling gems poured down from her hands, a splendid and blinding display.
"Garrett, you’re too good to me! I declare, from now on, this is my bed!"
Cirella held her head high, spread her arms wide, and loudly proclaimed. She took a deep breath, her entire body suddenly blurring and starting to shine intensely—
A myriad of silver lights burst forth. Garrett instinctively closed his eyes, raising his hand to shield his face. When he opened his eyes again, a massive, splendid silver dragon was standing before him, looking down.
Then, she tucked in her wings and curled down... happily, cheerily rolling over.
Ting-a-ling, ting-a-ling, the gold and silver jewelry rolled over her scales, emitting a clear, pleasant sound.
"Garrett, you’re too good to me! I thought I’d have to save for another hundred years to afford a bed! When my aunt first went out on her own, even after being a mercenary everywhere, mining magic crystals, it took her a hundred years to save enough, and a lot of it was ores and crystals!"
After rolling once, then again. The tremendous wind pressure came at him, and Garrett instinctively held his breath, trying not to step back. Lady, a couple of rolls is fine, just don’t release your dragon’s might...
"Boom!"
A huge explosion sounded below the tower. Accompanied by the amplified, angry shouts of Mage Norwood:
"Who’s casting the fear spell?! I twitched! An alchemy cauldron exploded!"
