A Hundred Times: Ascending With The Strongest System-Chapter 35 - 34: A Weapon Too Strong to Wield
Chapter 35: Chapter 34: A Weapon Too Strong to Wield
Zoey was escorted to the Weapon Section of the guild, many weapons of different kinds stood out to her, however, they were mostly staffs or wands that boosted their magical abilities, making them far more effective.
And it made sense as to why that was, as the Raging Phoenix Guild mostly consisted of Mages, and Mages always prioritized Intelligence as their primary stat.
They walked until they entered a room reserved for the Elites of the guild as they were taken into a entirely different section of the Weapon Section. The air was much thicker with Mana here, radiating off the weapons that hummed inside their reinforced class casings.
There were a few Elite Hunters that were browsing through weapons, with a few giving Zoey and Sarina a glance, but not saying as they were focused on maximizing their attack power. However, Zoey could still feel a few glances of the Hunters that probably had interest in her, as she was going to be joining the guild's Elite Rankings after all.
'This is...' Zoey couldn't help but think as her eyes widened, her eyes scanned the multiple powerful weapons that ranged from A-Rank, and B-Rank, each one different in size and power.
'So this is what the Elite use, I have to admit, it's pretty terrifying being in a room with such powerful weaponry, it feels like these weapons could swallow me whole!' Zoey gulped nervously, but a slightly crazed grin formed on her face as she thought of the B-Rank weapon that awaited her, something that excited her to no end.
"Here we are." Sarina spoke as she gestured to a large black casing, the guild's symbol etched on it that eminated with great importance.
At the counter a burly craftsman stood, his apron stained with charcoal and the stains of other materials, the smell of ash and fire emminating from him, hinting at his role as a Blacksmith.
"Is this the girl you were yapping about?" The burly man asked as he raised a brow, looking at Zoey with a curious stare.
"Indeed, she's the talk of the guild lately." Sarina said with a nod, grinning proudly as she cast Zoey a smug smile.
She pulled out a key from her coat as she unlocked the case, revealing the hilt of a sword that radiated with a electric aura.
The hilt was black and sleek, glinting faintly in the room light, while the rest of the blade was covered by a black cloth that hid the rest of the weapon.
Zoey felt a chill run down her spine at the power the sword emmited, it was far powerful than anything she had ever wielded before, even the level 100 [Fireball] skill she had felt like nothing in comparison to the power the blade was emmiting, speaking bounds of the power that lied beneath the cloth.
"You're seriously planning on giving a weapon like this to this newbie?" He asked, flabbergasted by Sarina's choice. He had personally crafted this blade from powerful materials secured from the dungeons, and originally planned on selling it at a crazy price, however, he didn't expect Sarina to buy this weapon, considering the history behind it and the price of it as well.
"Of course, while others have failed to wield it, I believe that our prodigy here will do splendidly with this sword." Christine mused, confident of her trust in Zoey, who was currently shocked by the power radiating from the blade.
Sarina observed Zoey's awestruck expression as she giggled playfully, nudging her arm as she leaned in with a smug grin "What do you think? Pretty powerful, huh~?" She asked playfully.
Zoey couldn't form any words in her throat as she nodded simply, swallowing hard as she felt slightly suffocated by the energy the blade was emmiting. Something was telling her that she wasn't ready on wielding the true might of this blade yet, as merely touching would probably be much harder than just being near it.

"This...this is crazy." Zoey muttered out loud, her breath hitched as her fingers twitched, aching to touch the blade. But she stopped herself, turning to look at Sarina, "Would I be able to wield such a thing?" She asked, uncertain.
"Not now atleast," Sarina said honestly as she closed the casing of the sword as she locked it, picking it up as she handed it to Zoey "This sword is a very powerful blade that has been crafted using very powerful materials from High-ranking dungeons, which is very difficult to use as it's power makes it hard to fight with in battle.
To those who aren't at the peak of C-Rank, or atleast B-Rank, they'll immediately faint upon touching this sword, so I recommend that you keep it for the future once you've become stronger."
Sarina finished as she dropped the casing of the weapon in Zoey's hands gently, giving her the key to the case. Zoey stared at the casing in her hands, the power emminating from the case was definetly a bit hard to withstand, however, for some reason, she felt that she might be able to handle it if she tried hard enough.
"Thank you." Zoey said as she nodded in determination, storing the case into her [Inventory] as it dissapeared a brilliant light along with the key to the case.
'This sword has a terrifying history, the sheer power coming from it is nonetheless terrifying!'
'But, if I want to become stronger than I have been before, then this sword, along with these new Skills in my [Inventory], will be a huge boost in achieving that goal.'
Her fists clenched at her sides as she felt more determined than ever to wield the blade, even if she has to faint a ton of times, she was willing to own it as it's wielder.
"Sarina," Zoey started as her thoughts drifted to the [Slime King's Essence] that was still in her [Inventory], "Are there any expert Alchemists that I can commission?" Zoey asked.
Sarina was suprised by Zoey's question, but she nodded as she spoke, "Of course, there are plenty of brilliant Alchemists in the guild. But they vary depending on what you're looking for." She said, "Is there something you need an Alchemist for?" Sarina asked.
Zoey nodded, "Yes, there's an Elixer I want them to craft. It's a Mana Regeneration Enhancement Elixer, and it'll be a game changer for me." Zoey said, causing Sarina's eyes to slightly widen.
"A Mana Regeneration Enhancement Elixer you say..." Sarina repeated, realizing the immense worth an Elixer like that could have, since Mana Regeneration Enhancing Items are very hard to come by in dungeons, not to mention the materials as well that would be needed for crafting potions of that magnitude.
"I have someone in mind, he'll be able to help you craft this Elixer. However, his costs can be a...bit much to say the least." Sarina let her last words linger in the air for a moment, and Zoey immediately understood what she mean't, as this Elixer was definetly going to be expensive.
"Doesn't matter, as long as the Elixer gets crafted, I'll pay whatever it takes." Zoey replied with a determined voice.
"Alright then, come with me, let me take you to him." Sarina said as she started to lead Zoey towards the Alchemist, leaving the section of the guild.

Inside a B-Rank Dungeon..
The dungeon was dark and swallowed light like a black hole, the walls were crude and rough, the stench of death stained the air as multiple monster corpses lied on the ground, dissapearing in golden shimmering lights.
A large party of Hunters moved through the dungeon, they're boots causing the ground to shake subtlety as they continued to walk. Multiple Hunters from E-C Rank moved at the back, while the more stronger Hunters moved at the front, with a row of powerful tanks further ahead to provide further protection to the team.
"The first Boss is up ahead, everyone remember you roles and act upon my order, understand?" The voice of Mira, boomed across the walls, reverbrating throughout the cave with immense authority and power, her title as an A-Rank making her a powerful figure in the eyes of many.
"Yes mam!!" The Hunters shouted at her order, their voice riled up with respect and determination.
"Hmph," Kyle said as he rolled his eyes, letting out an exasperated sigh. He hated how his sister was at a higher position than he was, and it infuriated him to no end as she outclassed him in every way, much to his frustration.
"Stay with your squad and command them accordingly, I don't want any deaths during this raid. Am I clear?" Mira asked, her voice cold and threatening, making his blood run cold.
"...." Kyle didn't say anything to protect his pride, but deep inside he understood that he had to obey her orders without question.
Mira's eyes lingered on him for a moment, finding his rebellious nature annoying. But she decided to let him go, as they had to focus on clearing this Dungeon before it had the chance of breaking, as there wasn't much time left for that.
'Please brother, don't make the same mistake again.' Mira thought silently as she clenched her heart, a feeling of guild crawling up her spine at the lives of the Hunters they lost not too long ago.
