A Journey That Changed The World.-Chapter 1266: I’ll Bring You Food Shortly
Unfazed by the Hyena’s snapping jaws all around him, Archer strode forward, his gaze locking onto the pack leader, a towering beast, nearly twice the size of the others. A wicked grin played on his lips.
’Now, let’s see what you’re made of,’ he thought with a gleam in his violet eyes.
Seconds later, Archer’s fist slammed into the pack leader’s jaw with a resounding crack, sending the massive creature spinning through the air just after the wood elf dismissed the vines.
As it flew through the air while letting out a pain-filled yelp he was already in pursuit, attacking with a fury that sent the beast reeling in fear. The leader howled in terror, its instincts screaming to flee, but couldn’t as the assault kept it pinned in place.
Just as the beast was going to collapse thanks to the injuries, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind. ’Please stop! I’ll do anything you want!’
The desperate voice stopped him in his tracks. He paused, eyes narrowing, curious about this unexpected turn. He was just about to reply but Halime and Llyniel joined him. The wood elf’s sweet voice reached his ears.
’’These are powerful monsters husband. Not many can stand against them with this many,’’ she said.
Archer’s eyes scanned the horde and was pleasantly surprised. There were nearly five hundred vicious Giant Hyenas, their menacing eyes locked onto him, ready to strike at any moment.
His gaze shifted back to the pack leader, shock briefly flickering across his face at the sheer size of the group. Archer shook his head with a chuckle. ’Five hundred won’t matter if I break their will,’ he thought.
Turning to the leader, he spoke coldly. ’’Serve me, or die. Those are your only options here.’’
The pack leader, trembling in fear and realization, was left with little choice as the rest of the horde watched in silence, waiting for their alpha’s decision which came seconds later as the monster bowed.
Archer’s smile grew wider as he exclaimed, ’’Brilliant! Now your pack will grow stronger than ever and to sweeten the deal, I’ll put you next to the Umbraworms. They will help you produce more soldiers for me.’’
When the leader heard this it nodded its head, it turned around while letting out a fierce roar causing the other monsters to line up in order. This surprised the trio as he opened a portal to the Domain.
Archer gestured toward the portal, his voice calm but commanding. ’’Go on, make yourselves at home. I’ll bring you food shortly.’’
The leader, still wary but now bound by his promise, turned and began to lead the rest of the Hyenas through the shimmering portal. With a satisfied nod, he motioned for Halime and Llyniel to follow.
The two women entered the portal after the beasts. One by one, the Giant Hyenas followed, their massive forms disappearing into the glowing gateway, ready to begin their new lives under his command.
Archer, Halime, and Llyniel continued watching as the Giant Hyenas started digging in the middle of the forest they appeared in. While the monsters did this he closed his eyes and scanned the Domain to see how many Umbraworms there were.
Seconds later, his eyes bulged when realizing there were billions of creatures and trillions of eggs in the chasms they could home. ’’Oh wow, there’s so many,’’ he muttered.
Without hesitation, Archer summoned five massive creatures, their colossal forms crashing down with a thunderous impact that sent tremors rippling through the ground. Dust and sand billowed into the air as the Hyenas flinched, their glowing eyes widening in shock. Read new chapters at novelbuddy
The pack leader turned to him, his voice laced with shock, ’Is this our food, Master?’
Archer gave a satisfied nod, gesturing toward the writhing sandworms as they desperately tried to slither away. ’’Yes. Eat up and grow stronger. I’ll check on you soon.’’
At his command, the Hyenas lunged forward, their hunger driving them into a frenzy as they tore into the Umbraworms, their growls and snarls filling the air. He watched for a moment, a smirk playing on his lips before turning away, his mission complete.
’’Now time for us to relax for the rest of the day,’’ he suddenly said to the two women who agreed.
Archer opened a portal back to the desert and stepped out only to use Mana Manipulation to create a platform while speaking, ’’Get on this and we’ll travel to the oasis. The Tressym should be back any moment now.’’
Following that, the woman climbed on and got comfortable as a quiet meow reached his ears causing him to look in its direction. He spotted several giant bats chasing after the scared fluffy cat.
When seeing this, he exploded toward his little scout and landed a punch on the closest bat that sent it plummeting toward the ground. As Archer fell he cast Mana Blast into the others causing them to explode.
Explosions lit up the afternoon sky, their fiery bursts scattering the remaining bats, sending them fleeing into the distance. Amidst the chaos, Archer cradled the trembling cat in his arms.
The small creature burrowed deeper against his chest, seeking comfort as he gently reassured it. ’’Sorry about that, girl. I didn’t know you’d get chased,’’ he murmured.
Nearby, Halime and Llyniel exchanged amused glances, watching as Archer tried to comfort the stubborn feline. The cat refused to acknowledge his apology until his fingers found the sweet spot behind her ear.
Almost instantly, the fluffy creature melted into his touch, purring contentedly. She leaned into his hand, demanding more pampering, and Archer chuckled, indulging her as the tension of the battle faded away.
While he absentmindedly stroking the Tressym curled up in his lap. Halime and Llyniel watched from nearby, sharing a knowing smile. ’’You know,’’ the snake woman mused, tilting her head, ’’For a mighty dragon, you’re surprisingly soft.’’
The wood elf chuckled, nodding in agreement. "It’s true. Fierce in battle, but here you are, spoiling a little Tressym like a doting parent."
Archer rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the smirk tugging at his lips. "I don’t know what you’re talking about," he muttered, still stroking the creature’s fur.
The Tressym let out a pleased chirp, nuzzling into his hand, making the two women laugh before the cat returned to the Domain as it was happy with the attention and confirmation of his love for the creature.
Once it was gone he ushered Halime and Llyniel onto the mana platform. Archer started traveling toward the oasis. The mana platform hummed beneath them as it soared over the endless expanse of golden dunes, kicking up a shimmering wake of sand in its path.
Archer stood at the front, the wind whipping through his white hair, his eyes scanning the horizon. The desert stretched endlessly, heat waves rising in the distance like mirages, but then, something caught his eye.
’’There!’’ he called, pointing ahead.
As they crested the next dune, the breathtaking sight unfolded before them. A lush oasis, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the afternoon sun, lay nestled between palm trees. Vibrant greenery spread across the area, a stark contrast to the barren desert surrounding it.
The soft rush of a waterfall could be heard in the distance, feeding into the pool below. Birds took flight from the canopy, their colorful feathers flashing like scattered gems. Halime’s yellow eyes gleamed with excitement. ’’Finally! A break from all this sand.’’
Llyniel smiled, taking in the scene. ’’It’s more beautiful than I expected.’’
Archer smirked and adjusted his stance on the platform. ’’Then let’s not waste any time.’’

With a flick of his wrist, the mana platform descended, gliding smoothly toward their newfound paradise. When it touched the ground it vanished allowing the three of them to land safely.
’’We’re going to explore the place!’’ Llyniel exclaimed. ’’There’s some ruins over there I want to check out.’’
Archer nodded with a smile casting Mana Manipulation, directing raw energy into the earth. The ground trembled beneath them as his magic surged outward, shaping stone and wood with sheer willpower.
The air buzzed with power as, piece by piece, a magnificent Roman-style villa rose beside the shimmering oasis. Towering columns, elegant archways, and smooth marble floors materialized in an awe-inspiring display.
He watched as the remaining desert creatures, sensing the overwhelming force, scattered in fear, vanishing into the dunes. As the last traces of magic settled, he exhaled, his body heavy with exhaustion.
While looking around he thought with a yawn, ’I need to rest for a little while, its a pain to burn through so much mana.’
Archer slumped into one of the newly made chairs, tilting his head back to watch the soft white clouds drift lazily across the sky. Seconds later, he pulled out some dragon ale and started drinking.
He leaned back, swirling the flask of dragon ale in his hand before taking another deep swig. The fiery drink burned less now, spreading a comfortable warmth through his body. His limbs felt lighter, his mind pleasantly hazy.
