A Mate For The Last Lycan-Chapter 75: SHE FELT LOVED
Chapter 75: SHE FELT LOVED
"They are dead." The answer was very clip and Ezra looked trouble. "Because of the failed attempt of the coup, they were on alert and ran deep investigation to purge any possibility that Celeste kingdom's people that was still in their kingdom and was within their rank wouldn't be used as a spy against them." Ezra sighed deeply. "They found our people, but from what I learned, they assumed they were the remaining people of Xaden, who were used to deliver the message when they planned for the coup."
Khaos nodded. That was not a big problem, since they wouldn't find any valuable information about him even if they investigated them further.
"Should we send another people?" Ezra suggested, but Khaos told him to hold on.
"Let the situation calmed down first." There was no use if they sent another people to Great Lunar kingdom only to get them killed when they were still on high alert. The situation in Three Deadly Ways was not good either.
The tension was too high because of the involvement of Great Lunar kingdom with the recent coup against the Celeste kingdom's throne.
They talked about a few other thing, but it seemed Ezra still couldn't let go of the topic about Zuri, because in the end of their discussion, he still asked the alpha whether or not he was sure to get that woman involved.
"She betrayed her packs," Ezra reminded him.
Khaos stood up and looked at him sharply. "I am aware of that and if you forgot, I was the one, whom she confided to."
"Are you sure you can control her? Can we trust her? Just because she betrayed her family for you, she will not do the same to you."
"This is the end of this discussion." Khaos was not willing to answer any question related to Zuri.
In the end, Ezra could only lower his head and accept the alpha's decision. He hoped Khaos was right that the woman could be useful, but of course, he would pay close attention to her.
After all, this was the first time for Khaos to be interested with a woman.
Meanwhile, Khaos went back to his bedroom only to see Zuri was sleeping on his bed. This was not the first time she did this.
He went to check on her and wake her up to eat dinner. He said nothing about what she had confided in him. Not because he didn't care... probably, he indeed did not care...
"How are you feeling?" Khaos asked. He watched her eating.
"I am fine."
"The voices?"
Zuri was startled because she was not used to talk about the voices in her head so casually, as if they were talking about the weather.
She stopped eating and then glanced at him, but Khaos didn't make it weird. The question was simply a question, without any judgment.
"The voices.... are quiet now." Zuri bit her meat and put down her cutleries, she had cleaned her plate. She ate all of the food.
"Why do you think no one knew about the medicine except the healer in your pack?" Khaos didn't eat.
"I don't know." Zuri had never thought about it before. "I got the medicine from my mother or the healer. That's all I know."
Khaos didn't ask more, but when Zuri said she would go back to her room, he asked her to stay.
"Stay?" Zuri's eyes lit up. She wanted to stay.
'Whore.'
'So eager to throw yourself to him.'
The voices in her head started to mock her. Their tones filled with disgust. Zuri pinched her thigh secretly. Her knew method to draw out the voices in her head with pain.
"Yes, stay. I want you to stay the night with me." Khaos smirked. "Why? You don't want? Afraid I will eat you whole?"
Zuri laughed at that statement. She grinned. "I think you will eat me whole, seeing how you didn't even touch your food." She nodded at his untouched food. She then stood up. "I will take a bath and after that, let go to bed."
"Don't lock the door, just in case I want to join you."
She winked at him, disregarding the voices in her head.
Khaos laughed at her coquettish gesture, but when she disappeared, his smile faded. His grey eyes turned slightly darker. He waited for a while and then he heard that.
The noise was faint, but he knew what exactly happened behind the closed door. He got on his feet and walked toward the adjoint bathroom, which Zuri indeed didn't lock it. Probably, because she thought Khaos was not serious with what he said.
And there, Khaos watched Zuri put her fingers down her throat and forced herself to vomit the food she had eaten earlier.
Immediately, Khaos grabbed her hand and pulled her up. "What do you think you are doing?"
Horror filled her eyes when she saw Khaos, but she immediately came with an excuse. "My stomach was upset and I think the food is not to my liking." She grimaced, as she wiped her lips and shook his hand, so she could clean her mouth. "You shouldn't be here. It's embarrassing."
Khaos approached her and hugged her from behind. His hands snaked around her lower body and caressed her ribs, while he rested his chin on her shoulder.
"I will take off your clothes," Khaos informed her and he did it very slowly, as if he wanted to find any sign Zuri would refuse his advance, but she didn't.
In her twisted mind and her very unsettling way to think, when Khaos wanted her even though freёnovelkiss.com
it was for pleasure, she felt loved. She felt wanted. She was eager to please him too.
Her mother told her that was how you made men happy and if they were happy, they wouldn't
throw you away.
And Zuri did not want him to throw her away.
After such a long and slow movement, her dress pooled around her ankle now.
