"What about the lycan?" Zuri asked casually, if she was anxious, she didn't show it on her face, neither Khaos, he looked very calm, even though they were going to hear another information about the lycan.

It created so many theories among the informant and a few months later, there was this anonymous order to dig deeper into the lycan information, whether or not there is a lycan, who survived the massacre thirty years ago."

Lucas shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly, as he pocketed all of the gold. This room was akin to a small library with shelves of book covered the four walls. There were two doors. The first door that Zuri and Khaos came in and the other door was camouflaged as the bookshelf, where Lucas came out.

"If what that man saw was true and he really saw a lycan beast, then that lycan must be the last lycan." Lucas sighed. "That's it."

"What theories that spread around?" Zuri asked, she was on alert. She glanced at Khaos a few times, but he appeared very calm.

Lucas smirked. "You need to pay me more for that information." He shook his head. "Just because I worked for your brother, I will give you a free pass. Nah ah." He wiggled his forefinger. "I need to make a living too."

Not many people knew about this, unless you were on the business that related to that. Khaos's scout didn't get this information because they were not on the same business line. They were there to supply Khaos with the information that he needed to get his revenge and was not aware about the race among the informants to get any information related to the lycan.

"What is the price?" Zuri kept trying, but Lucas zipped his mouth and then walked back to the door behind him.

"I will appreciate it if you bring more money next time you want more information." Lucas then disappeared behind the shelf.

Zuri whipped her head toward Khaos, but the alpha already stood up and grabbed her by the alpha to make her stand up too. He gave her a look that told her not to say anything about it. At least, not now, not here.

a ring for Zuri. It was not something sentimental, but he did it on a whim.

Only then, the owner's face lit up a little bit when he received extra gold from Khaos.

It was white golden ring with black diamond, which reminded Khaos of her long black hair, that was why he picked that one and Zuri adored it so much.

Thankfully, they didn't need to resize the ring, because it fit her finger perfectly and Zuri had been staring at her ring for a good few minutes before she remembered there was an important thing that she needed to ask from Khaos.

"Even if you betrayed me, who you would betray me for?" Khaos caressed her cheek. "You have no parents, no mate and you only have me. You don't close with your brothers, except one, but even so you have not been in contact with him ever since your union with Xaden."
