A Night of Desire-Chapter 151: Have to Latch Onto Her Thighs
Faye Jennings felt a new surge of delight. It seemed Seth Quinn wasn’t entirely indifferent to her after all. At least he hadn’t let her lose face in front of so many people.
In that instant, a wave of confidence surged through Faye Jennings. ’As long as I persevere, as long as I’m forward with my affections, as long as I drive Clara Grant away from Seth Quinn’s side, I’ll definitely win him over!’
The people who had been too scared to even breathe let out a long, collective sigh of relief, feeling as if they had just been pardoned from a death sentence.
They had, after all, fought tooth and nail for a role in *A Lifetime of Splendor*. During auditions, every single one of them had brought their A-game to win Director Keane’s favor. Being replaced mid-production would be a fatal punishment for them.
Besides, being replaced was a minor issue compared to being shelved or blacklisted by the company. If that happened, their careers would be completely ruined.
As they felt a sense of relief, they also became more convinced that Faye Jennings held a special place in Seth Quinn’s heart.
Faye clearly had clout with President Quinn; a single sentence from her was enough to make him let the matter go.
It seemed that Clara Grant, the one rumored to be President Quinn’s girlfriend and the future lady boss of Aegis, didn’t live up to the hype.
Faye was the far more likely candidate to become President Quinn’s girlfriend and the future lady boss of Aegis. After all, the president and the top actress of Aegis—a handsome man and a beautiful woman—were a perfect match.
From now on, they’d have to get on Faye’s good side. Latching onto her coattails was the only way to secure their futures.
Since his brother had spoken, Miles Quinn figured the group had been scared enough for one day. He just let out a quiet scoff and didn’t say anything more.
"Well then, President Quinn, shall we move on to the next segment?" Liam Keane suggested with a smile, seeing the situation had calmed.
Clara Grant knew this had nothing to do with her anymore, so she quietly slipped to the back to stand with Holly Summers.
Holly Summers was quite friendly toward her. Seeing her approach, she quickly smiled and linked arms with her.
A derisive snort came from behind them. Without even having to guess, Clara knew it was Sandra.
Holly Summers’s expression faltered. She leaned in and whispered to Clara Grant, "Don’t mind her."
Clara Grant wasn’t bothered and just smiled at Holly Summers. She glanced toward the front and saw Seth Quinn giving a slight nod to Director Keane.
Seeing he had agreed, Liam Keane gave the host a look, and the host announced the start of the Q&A session with the reporters.
The reporters were all still buzzing with excitement from the series of incidents that had just occurred. They seemed a bit absent-minded about the Q&A session; after all, *A Lifetime of Splendor* hadn’t started filming yet, so many details had to be kept confidential. The only questions they could ask were about trivial matters, which were far less eye-catching than certain other topics.
For instance, the intriguing relationship between Aegis’s top actress, Faye Jennings, and its president, Seth Quinn.
But despite their distraction, the session was completed in an orderly fashion.
Finally, the entire cast and crew posed for a group photo, and the host announced the end of the ceremony.
Next came the most relaxing and cheerful part of the event: the kick-off banquet.
The banquet was set to be held in the main hall on the first floor of the cast and crew’s hotel. Everyone started to head over.
Clara Grant still had to drop off her luggage but didn’t know which room was hers, so she asked Holly Summers who was in charge of room assignments.
As it turned out, aside from the director, screenwriter, and a few of the main actors who had single rooms, all other personnel were assigned to double-occupancy rooms.
And Clara Grant happened to be rooming with Holly Summers. Clara was delighted to hear this; getting to room with someone you get along with was a rare stroke of luck.
After telling her the room number, Holly Summers gave her the key card.
Clara Grant took the key card, thanked her, and trotted over to grab her suitcase.
But as soon as she lifted it, there was a loud CLATTER. She looked down and saw that her suitcase had burst open, its contents spilling all over the floor.
