A second chance with my billionaire husband-Chapter 1664 - 349: Blood Feud — They’re All Liars (Part 2)
The early morning wind was piercingly cold. Yun Ya tightened her coat around her, her wrist burning with pain, both cold and exhausted. Yet at this moment, her mind was exceptionally clear.
She looked at Mingyue, and before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.
Shortly after, Mingyue opened her eyes. Uncle Lau withdrew his hand, speaking in a low voice: "This time, you forcibly exercised your power, causing a reversal of your blood flow. You must not exercise your power easily again; you need to regulate your breath properly, or the consequences will be unimaginable."
"It’s fine." Mingyue rose. She was a genius of the Helian Family, her talent unmatched—reaching the Xuantian First Vein at seven, praised by elders as a once-in-a-millennium prodigy. At fifteen, she emerged, quelling the family’s internal chaos single-handedly, vanquishing her usurping cousin siblings, and claimed the position of Family Head. In her dictionary, failure never existed.
Except for that one time...
She took a deep breath; she could not fall now. Her master was still waiting for her; this lifetime, she must aid him in avenging that deep-seated grudge.
Walking to Yun Ya’s side, she bent down to lift her up. Seeing Yun Ya showing signs of waking, she swiftly pressed her sleep pressure point, and Yun Ya fell asleep once more.
"Prepare to set off soon," Mingyue instructed.
"Yes," Uncle Lau wanted to say something, but eventually transformed it into a long sigh, disappearing into the darkness.
Mingyue sat in the car holding Yun Ya, gazing down at Yun Ya’s serene sleeping visage, her brows furrowing.
She felt her master’s presence; though the distance was too great, she wasn’t very clear. Yet through the sensing, she could locate.
The next day, Yun Ya rubbed her head and sat up, recalling everything from last night. Excitedly, she jumped off the bed, "Mingyue?"
She called out.
No one responded.
She ran to the window: "Mingyue?"
There was no one anywhere.
Yun Ya suddenly panicked. Mingyue she...
No, it couldn’t be. Mingyue wouldn’t leave her; she still needed to take her to find Miaomiao. How could she leave alone?
Yet the fact was, Mingyue suddenly went missing, and Yun Ya couldn’t find her.
Yun Ya was dejected for a few days, feeling like she had been used by Mingyue. She had always stayed by her side—was it just because her blood could help her find Miaomiao quickly?
Now that the blood was used up, she left her behind and walked away.
"Liar, bastard..." Yun Ya cursed under her breath.
"Miss, what are you muttering about alone?" Ah Yun curiously asked: "Strange, I haven’t seen Sister Mingyue these past few days; she also said she would take me to the sky."
"Don’t mention her to me." Yun Ya ran to the bed, covering her head with the blanket, feeling extremely wronged inside.
She was so close to seeing Miaomiao, that damned Mingyue; I better not see you again.
Ah Yun stuck out her tongue, turned, and left.
Just as she left the room, Yan Song walked in from outside, "Young Master Yan."
Yan Song nodded, brushing past her.
"Um... Young Master Yan, wait a moment." Ah Yun suddenly called out to him.
Yan Song turned back, quietly watching her.
"Well, it’s like this, the miss has been in a bad mood these past two days. Young Master Yan should be careful...." Don’t provoke the miss. Although she rarely loses her temper, once she does, it’s definitely the end of the world.
Yan Song furrowed his brows slightly, nodding: "Thanks for the reminder."
"Then I won’t disturb you." Ah Yun turned and left.
Yan Song stood at the door for a while before finally stepping inside.
Yun Ya was lying on the bed, her head covered with the blanket, seemingly asleep.
Yan Song walked to the bed, sitting down, and softly said: "If there’s anything troubling you, you can talk to me; we’ll solve it together."
Yun Ya scooted further in, silent.
Yan Song lay down beside her, gently patting her back: "I might need to leave for a while."
Yun Ya’s back stiffened.
"I’m sorry, give me some time...."
Yun Ya suddenly threw off the blanket, sitting up, pointing to the doorway "Go, leave, what are you coming back for? Every one of you should leave, the further the better; never come back." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Her eyes were wide, looking so angry.
Yan Song felt a pain in his heart, instinctively reaching to hug her, but Yun Ya abruptly pushed him away, jumping off the bed and fleeing.
"Yun Ya...." Yan Song hadn’t expected her reaction to be so intense, swiftly chasing after her.
"Yun Ya, stop." He caught up with her in a few quick steps, easily catching her.
"Let go of me." Yun Ya struggled to escape his grasp, yet his hand was so firm it hurt her bones.
Perhaps due to the pain, tears rolled down Yun Ya’s cheeks like beads. Yan Song couldn’t bear to see her cry and coaxed: "Don’t cry, I’ll be back soon."
Yun Ya wiped her tears with her sleeve, suddenly, Yan Song’s gaze focused, landing on the bandage around Yun Ya’s wrist, stained with blood, piercing his eyes.
His expression darkened abruptly, his voice chilling: "What’s this?"
Yun Ya shook off his hand: "None of your business."
Yan Song took a deep breath, gently coaxing: "Yun Ya, what’s really going on with you?"
"Weren’t you leaving? Go, you don’t need to mind my business." With that, she turned and ran off.
Yan Song sighed, chasing after her.
Yun Ya got into the car, the driver asked: "Miss, where to?"
Where to?
The Capital City was so vast, yet she couldn’t find a place to rest herself.
"East Alley."
Yan Song drove behind, Yun Ya’s behavior was unusual; what exactly had happened? He thought of Yun Ya’s recent whereabouts; last night going out with Mingyue, the people he sent to protect Yun Ya were shaken off, so he had no idea what Mingyue did with Yun Ya last evening, and Yun Ya’s wrist had a wound, what had Mingyue taken her to do?
Regrettably, Mingyue was nowhere to be found now.
Arriving at East Alley, Yun Ya walked over, and there was still someone waiting at the door, making Yun Ya admire the person’s persistent spirit.
She ran over to knock on the door, when San Qi saw it was her, he immediately let her in, the wooden door slamming shut.
Yan Song caught up, seeing the man standing aside, he furrowed his brows slightly, walking past him and raising his hand to knock on the door.
The man glanced at Yan Song, his eyes narrowing slightly.
San Qi opened the door, eyes darting around.
"Hello, little friend, I’m here to see the sister who just went in." Yan Song tried to use a gentle tone.
San Qi looked at him, a cold young girl’s voice coming from behind: "San Qi, close the door."
The wooden door shut amidst Yan Song’s bitter smile.
Yan Song raised a hand to rub his brow, leaned back against the wall, looked up at the sky, arms folded, and leisurely started waiting.
His phone rang in his pocket, he took it out and answered, his expression immediately turning serious: "I’ll be back right now."
Ending the call, he turned to glance at the wooden door, sighed, and strode away.
San Qi peeked back from the doorway, gesturing to Yun Ya, meaning that person left.
Yun Ya suddenly kicked over a medicine rack by her foot: "All liars."
Her tone was both aggrieved and sad.
"Ah, my Eucommia, my Polygonatum...." Doctor Hua hurried over to pick up the scattered herbs from the ground, treating them like treasures.
"You... Why take your bad mood out on my things?"
Yun Ya bit her lip, turning to sit on the small stool: "They’re just some herbs, I’ll compensate you later."
"Compensate? What will you use for compensation? These are all natural herbs I’ve personally dug on the mountain for many years, with great medicinal value, can’t be bought with money, hmph."
Yun Ya whispered: "I’m sorry."
"Louder, I didn’t hear you."
