Above The Sky-Chapter 1879 - 386: The Doubt of the Heavenly Law Judgment
Unless, from the very beginning, they knew they were going to die.
Just like the children of Inega II.
Just like the children of Axel.
Just like Michael himself.
"Come out."
Michael raised his head, looking at the silver star shining in the sky. That silver star now rivaled the sun, even more dazzling and brilliant, and at this moment, it was precisely noon; the light of the Terra Sun almost overlapped with the silver star, and terrifying energy surged towards him.
And at this moment, Michael called out, calling for the power and legacy he had received.
Thus, with an aether vast as the sea twisting space-time, a massive vortex appeared directly above Michael’s head, a terrifying aura descending like a tsunami, ultimately condensing into a sphere intertwined with black and white patterns, resembling a vortex.
From this sphere, one could vaguely sense an intense confusion, not towards others, but towards itself, a question toward all things in the world. In the black and white vortex, one could vaguely see a peculiar question mark.
[——The Doubt of Heavenly Adjudication——]
In ancient times, five dragons came from the infinite distance, known as the Ancestral True Dragons, the ancestors of all True Dragons in this Starfield, named Skyrule, Pure Light, Prime Pivot, Weaving Abode, and Martial Expedition.
After the Calamity of Heavenly Fall, an internal war erupted among the Ancestral True Dragons, and the ultimate victor was the ancestor named ’Prime Pivot’, who was the creator of Dragon Island and the pact maker who re-established agreement with the Beings of Terra. Now deceased, as are the other four dragons.
Yet, there are only four Dragon Kings on Dragon Island, not five.
Because one Ancestral True Dragon was defeated but still harbored doubts.
Skyrule Dragon, one of the five Ancestral True Dragons, its full name being [Heavenly Adjudication], the adjudicator and arbiter among the Great Dragon Group.
Initially, it was the Skyrule Dragon that questioned the necessity of Humans as the absolute protagonists, intending to transform Terra into the land of the Thousand Stars Fire Seed’s revival, but was rejected by Prime Pivot Dragon [Initial Core], which believed that although the seeds of the Thousand Stars had failed, they were a group waiting for revival. Humans, though not superior in any statistics, had not made mistakes, nor had they failed, and their possibilities should not be directly negated.
The five Ancestral True Dragons waged a fierce battle, and Prime Pivot Dragon ultimately defeated all doubters or, rather, persuaded the other Ancestral True Dragons.
Pure Light Dragon [Pure Universe Everlasting Light] believed that while humans were weak, everything had been weak at some point; given a stable environment and precise stimuli, they possessed enough potential to grow.
Martial Expedition Dragon [Martial Origin Conquest Extreme] believed that humans had not yet fought, had not yet failed; how could they be given a fate of defeat without combat?
Weaving Abode Dragon [Destiny Weaving Constellation] conceded, acknowledging its defeat, agreeing with Prime Pivot Dragon.
Thus, the legacy of the four Ancestral True Dragons was concentrated on Dragon Island.
Only Skyrule Dragon, though defeated, could never support Prime Pivot Dragon’s choice.
[Even if they are allowed to continue, what is the meaning of this? Our mission cannot be completed, we have lost contact with The Creator, the Skyrule is shattered. What we must do — is it to obey Skyrule, to fulfill the Cradle’s covenant, or to allow more life to persist?]
[Humans are not the optimal choice; their wisdom is not the highest, their strength is not the strongest, and their overall selection is far from the best. Other than being a native species, they hold no advantage — can choosing them truly allow continuation?]
[Humans...humans. Why are it you that survived? The noble-hearted people of the Terra Federation perished, how are you any different from other creatures among the fire seeds? What advantage do you have?]
[Humans, why is it your kind, those who lost everything, survived, while other species with guardians and glorious histories had to perish?]
[Humans, Prime Pivot chose you, believed in you, yet I must question.]
[Question yourselves constantly, why is it you who survived]
[Do not forget that your existence is built on the bones of the Thousand Stars]
This heart of inquiry has long been located inside that shattered star, at the center of the largest remnant of the Shattered Star War.
Until a Human, also harboring a heart of questioning, arrived.
[Yes, you are right]
[Perhaps if humans had remained at one corner, and all those in the shelters had merged together, the inheritance of the Terra Federation might not have broken; we all would still be Terra People, not the current Imperial People, Fiery Flame Land dwellers, and Royal Court People, while other creatures among the Thousand Stars Fire Seed would unite with us to reach a more beautiful future]
[Perhaps the current actions of humans have disappointed all hopeful Ancestral True Dragons. Indeed, we cannot bear the regard of those ancient existences, repeating the same boring reincarnations time and again]
[Perhaps, we will continue erring, err to the point of no return, even the ’enemy’ you speak of will be beyond reach, lost before battle begins]
[But, at this point, humans still exist]
[And I am questioning a path of the future, I need a kind of power now, ancient ancestors’ doubt, grant me this power. Like you, I do not know what is right, hence the perpetual confusion in action; you stay dormant at the center of this star core, while I wander at the edges of this Starfield]
[But I know what is wrong. Someone seeks to create calamity single-handedly, destroying all life, merely for their own vision of dominance, this is undoubtedly the worst choice]
