The huge, strange, blood-red creature crawled out of the Devil Heart Pillar. The "evil" character on its face wriggled slowly. It had no expression, but if it did, it would undoubtedly be one of ruthlessness as it stared at the four fellows that had attacked the pillar. Monstrous amounts of corruption surged out like a swampy deluge, as if it was solid, horrifying everyone in the area.

"How can there be a Greater Evil Spirit in a B-class mission?!" Zong Sha was nearly at a loss for words.

Evil Spirit Hordes also contained Greater Evil Spirits. They were extremely vicious and were considered to be amongst the strongest of the Greater Heavenly Disaster-class Others.

Only those at the Greater Heavenly Resonance Tier could stand up to them.

Under ordinary circumstances, the Greater Evil Spirits were a small number of the Evil Spirit Horde. Based on the college's estimates, Greater Evil Spirits would only appear in an A-class missions. Thus, Zong Sha and the rest were stunned to see one right in front of them.

When the two clashed, a low, muffled sound could be heard. The skin cage looked weak and flimsy, but it did not break apart. The faces of Zong Sha, Lu Jinci, and the group changed. A gold seal appeared above Zong Sha's head as he roused all of his strength. However, he wasn't able to break through the skin cage.

"What a terrifying skill!" Lu Jinci exclaimed as his eyes twitched in fear. The Greater Evil Spirit had casually activated an ability, and it was powerful enough to leave them in such a pathetic state. The difference in their strengths was simply too great.

At this moment, the blood-red skin that reeked of corruption blocked the sky above them, ready to entrap them in every direction.

Radiant Heavenly Pearls appeared behind Li Luo one after another. At the same time, the golden water pearls in his waterlight resonance palace shattered, and the source origin energy fused with his resonant power.

Li Luo gripped his Dragon Elephant Blade tightly and slashed down at the next moment.

The golden dragon and green elephant roared to life from within the Dragon Elephant Blade, each emitting a blade of energy that left a scintillating trail of light behind. The blades energy were exceptionally sharp, and when they combined, the different streams of energy created a fearsome Dragon Elephant Blade Wheel.

The blade wheel hummed as it spun, causing the void around it to rip and tear.

The Dragon Elephant Blade Wheel then flew across the void, clashing directly with the skin. The two energies began to struggle as they eroded each other wildly before an ear-piercing explosion was heard.

The stalemate lasted for only a few moments before scars appeared on the blood-red skin. In the end, the scars expanded rapidly. A soft hiss could be heard, then the skin was torn apart by the blade wheel.

The faces on the skin let out frightening shrieks. At the next moment, the human skin turned into black smoke and dissipated into the wind like scattered ashes.

Zong Sha and Lu Jinci's lips could not help but to twitch a little as they witnessed this scene. Earlier, they had struck the human skin together but were unable to do anything to it. Now, Li Luo had torn it apart with a single slash.

"I'm supposed to be stronger than him... yet...!" Zong Sha muttered.

However, he understood that Li Luo's strength could not be judged by normal standards. Back in the academic evaluation, Li Luo had defeated three Illusory Seal-grades coming at him together.

Nonetheless, it was comforting to know he had such a monstrous team member.

Although he was not as renowned as Feng Lingyuan, he was still an impressive cultivator.

Deng Changbai gave Li Luo a glance upon arrival, then he looked further towards his back. There was a slender figure in black clothes walking towards them with light steps.
