Adventures of the last Wild Dragon-Chapter 209: To be an Adventure

As the girls once more entered into the main hall they looked around at the space with interest, taking in the atmosphere over in the bar area, the organised chaos over by the receptionist desks and the quiet intensity that dominated those that looked over the quest boards.

After taking a moment they all decided to head over to look over the quests themselves, eager to see what kind of tasks they listed.

When they arrived they made note of the 5 boards present, each board was numbered from 1 to 5. Based on the tasks listed on each board she assumed that this was related to the tier that the quest was aimed at.

Violet gave a quick glance over at tier one, wondering what kind of tasks would apply to people at such low levels, she was surprised by what she read.

The tasks honestly seemed far too... mundane? She saw quests related to cleaning the streets, helping with simple manual labour even one asking for someone to look after their child for the day. It was quite the surprise, yet it also kind of made sense.

Because honestly that was all that people of that strength could realistically do whilst remaining safe.

The tier two tasks began to involve some combat, but still involved a number of ’safer’ tasks that would keep them within the bounds of the city.

Only at the tier 3 and 4 boards did the tasks truly start to become interesting to the girls.

From tasks directing them to wipe out a nest of dire rats taking home within the city sewers. Dealing with a strong beast that had moved into a cave not too far away from the city borders and more.

A variety of combat focused tasks dominated these two boards, more so for the board related to tier 4 quests.

Violet then looked over at the 5th board, the one relating to Sovereign level quests. She was at first surprised at the lack of quests for people of that strength, yet she soon understood why it was left so barren.

A sovereign was usually the peak of strength for a lot of people, it was rare for anyone to survive long enough to reach such a level. So for them to be that powerful they would naturally only take on the most important of quests.

Violets eyes did open wide when she read one such quest that was listed on that board.

To see such a quest that was directly related to herself was quite the surprise, she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about having such powerful individuals currently out searching for her, even if their goal was to keep her safe. After all what would their idea of safe be?

Still she shook her head at those thoughts and focused back on the fourth board. Soon finding the quest that she wanted to see.

Once she had located the quest regarding the dungeon Violet found herself smiling.

"Iv found the dungeon quest, looks like we need to go speak to the receptionists to find its location." Violet shared with her friends.

"Hmm okay then, let’s go take to them shall we?"

So following Luna’s agreement, the girls made their way back over to the desks lining one wall. This time being sure to not go to the desk of the man they first went to.

Soon enough they were been seen by a younger dwarves woman, she greeted them with a warm smile. "Welcome to the guild how can I help you today?"

Violet stepped up and smiled back. "Hello! We are wanting to take the dungeon exploration quest, it said to speak to one of you to find out the details?"

The woman nodded at that as she looked through a few bits of paper on her desk, she soon found what she was looking for as she made a noise of satisfaction as she quickly read over its contents.

"Well looks like you are just in time. An expedition is due to set off tomorrow morning. A number of adventures will be going as one to find the entrance of the dungeon. From there they will be splitting up into smaller teams to explore and hopefully clear out the dungeon. Would you like for me to put you 4 down as wanting to attend this?"

At the girls nods of agreement she continued. "Very well then, if I could just see your guild cards to note you down." As she held out her hand the girls produced their cards and handed them over for the receptionist to look over. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

After studying them for a moment and making some quick notes she handed them back over to the girls. "Very well that is you all marked down to take part in the expedition. Could I interest you in purchasing our primer for the dungeon? It is only a single silver coin?"

Violet saw nothing wrong with that so easily handed over the coin required and in turn received a small leaflet packed with information on both dungeons in general and what limited information they had in the specific dungeon that they would be heading to in the morning.

"Well that should be everything, I’d recomend packing plenty of supplies, it’s supposed to be a couple of day journey to reach the entrance."

"Ohh that sound like a good idea. Thank you!" Violet said as she waved to the dwarves receptionist as she and her group left the desk and made their way back outside the guild.

Once on the street again they made their way over to one side so as to not be in the way of the flowing traffic. "Okay so looks like we need to go and get ourselves ready to leave, we are going to need plenty of food!" Violet said happily, already looking forward to all of the tasty things that she could buy for the journey.

"True, it would be a good idea to stock up on a lot of the basics." Susan mused. "Alright then let’s go and get ourselves ready."

Like that the girls headed down the street on their quest to buy as much food as they possibly could!
