Wangcai clutched a rabbit in its mouth, looking proud, while the Tiger King stood nearby, frowning deeply. With a loud roar, the Tiger King scolded Wangcai.

"After an entire morning, you caught just one rabbit? A dog would’ve brought back bigger prey than this! You call yourself a Beast King? I spent all morning with you, and this is what you’ve got? A rabbit?!"

The Tiger King was furious, its pride thoroughly shattered by Wangcai’s poor performance.

Wangcai, however, looked utterly wronged. What was wrong with a rabbit? Rabbits were edible too! Its pitiful eyes darted around until it spotted Zhouzhou. Suddenly, its eyes lit up, and it rushed toward her.

Zhouzhou wasn’t ready for the sudden pounce and ended up sitting on the ground with a thud. Wangcai shoved its big head into her arms, rubbing against her affectionately.

"Wangcai, you’re so heavy! Get off me!" Zhouzhou struggled, her little chubby hands trying to push Wangcai’s enormous head away.

But Wangcai had no intention of letting go. Its tail wagged furiously as it basked in her affection. Just as it was about to lick her face, a massive paw slapped it to the side.

Wangcai jumped to its feet, growling angrily, "Who is it?!"

When it turned to see its father, the Tiger King, glaring at it with an expression as dark as thunderclouds, its courage drained away instantly. Letting out a meek whimper, it lowered its head in submission and looked to Zhouzhou for help. Its eyes seemed to say, my dad hit me!

Zhouzhou, noticing Wangcai’s plea, glanced at the Tiger King and was about to speak up for it when the Tiger King let out another fierce roar. Startled, Zhouzhou shrank back, lowering her head just like Wangcai.

The Tiger King thumped the ground heavily with its paw, his frustration evident. Mercy ruins beasts! Just look at Wangcai—it had been spoiled rotten! This was all Zhouzhou’s fault!

Though Zhouzhou couldn’t understand a word of the Tiger King’s growls, she could tell from its tone that it wasn’t anything pleasant. She glanced at Wangcai and shook her head helplessly, signaling it to endure the scolding quietly.

Wangcai wilted even further. Its father was terrifying. At this point, it didn’t even want to go home anymore.

Zhouzhou sighed, wishing she hadn’t come. If she had known the Tiger King was here, she would’ve avoided this place altogether.

Watching Zhouzhou and Wangcai exchange pitiful glances, the Tiger King grew even angrier. With a deafening roar, it declared, "Training! Both of you! Today, you’re not leaving until you catch a wild boar!"

With another growl directed at Wangcai, the Tiger King sent it scurrying away. Zhouzhou quickly followed after it. Along the way, they ran into Little Goldie and Laifu, who had also been dragged out for training.

Just like Wangcai, they were constantly scolded and even smacked around. Zhouzhou couldn’t help but sympathize with them.

So pitiful, she thought. Compared to their stern father, her own dad seemed much kinder. She suddenly felt a wave of gratitude toward her father.

After a long and exhausting afternoon, Zhouzhou was starving. As soon as the Tiger King dismissed them, she bolted away, running straight to Ye Lingfeng and throwing herself into his arms.

Ye Lingfeng looked at her, puzzled. "Why are you the only one back? Where’s Wangcai and the others?"

"They’re still stuck in training," Zhouzhou said, her face pale with lingering fear.

The Tiger King was terrifying—far scarier than she had imagined. She couldn’t believe how gentle he had seemed the last time they met.

Ye Lingfeng chuckled, understanding the situation. Wangcai was growing up, and certain things had to be learned sooner rather than later. It couldn’t spend its life only catching rabbits and hiding behind Zhouzhou for protection.

He patted Zhouzhou on the head and said, "Finish your meal and get some rest. Tomorrow, we’ll visit your master."

Zhouzhou nodded, then looked up curiously. "What about you, Dad? What are you doing later?"

"I’m going to finalize your training plan," Ye Lingfeng replied.

At this, Zhouzhou’s eyes lit up. She immediately let go of his leg and exclaimed, "Then hurry, Dad! I can’t wait to see it!"

Ye Lingfeng shook his head, amused. His little girl clearly cared more about fun than spending time with him. Still, he didn’t say much and left to handle his work.

Meanwhile, Zhouzhou wandered off to the kitchen, where the cooks greeted her warmly.

"Zhouzhou! What would you like to eat? Just name it, and we’ll make it for you!"

"Really? Thank you, uncles!" Zhouzhou beamed at them, her sweet smile melting their hearts. The chefs immediately got to work, whipping up extra dishes for her.

By the time she finished eating, her stomach was round and full. Satisfied, she hopped off her chair and returned to her room to sleep.

The next morning, after breakfast, Zhouzhou and Ye Lingfeng boarded a plane. As the plane took off, Wangcai stood on the ground, looking up at her with tear-filled eyes.

It didn’t want to stay behind. It wanted to leave and never return!

Zhouzhou glanced at the Tiger King standing behind Wangcai and quickly closed the cabin door.

I’m sorry, Wangcai! I can’t defy your dad either. He’s too scary!

Wangcai felt its heart shatter as it watched Zhouzhou abandon it. For the first time, it agreed with Jinbao’s words: Zhouzhou was a heartless traitor.

She had promised to protect it and love it forever. But now, when faced with trouble, she ran away without hesitation.

Betrayed and heartbroken, Wangcai let out a mournful howl before collapsing dramatically to the ground. Why is my life so hard?

Before it could finish its lament, the Tiger King slapped it again.

"Enough with the dramatics! Get up and get back to training!"

Nearby, the Wolf King and Lion King were dragging their own cubs away, determined to discipline them in private to avoid further embarrassment.

Little Goldie and Laifu exchanged helpless glances. Is this what hell feels like?

Back on the plane, Zhouzhou patted her chest in relief. That was too close for comfort. If she had hesitated even a second longer, the Tiger King might’ve swatted her too.

Ye Lingfeng noticed her nervous expression and chuckled. However, his mood soon darkened as he thought about the meeting he had attended last night.

Seeing his furrowed brows, Zhouzhou tilted her head and asked, "Dad, what’s wrong? Didn’t you finalize my training plan yesterday? What did you decide?"

Ye Lingfeng shook his head slowly. "We haven’t finalized it yet. We’ll discuss it after we return."

In truth, the plan had already been decided. But the outcome was troubling.

Recalling Zhao Xinghua’s suggestion, Ye Lingfeng’s expression turned even grimmer. He let out a long sigh, closed his eyes, and stopped himself from thinking further. Still, his brows remained tightly knitted.

Zhouzhou watched him, puzzled. She couldn’t shake the feeling that her father was hiding something from her. Was there a problem with her training?

Back on the island, in the Fourth Bureau’s headquarters, the group leaders were deep in discussion.

Zhao Xinghua addressed the room, "What are your thoughts?"

One of the leaders responded, "I still believe Zhouzhou doesn’t need any additional training. Practical experience will be far more beneficial to her than any training regimen."

"So, I maintain my position: let Zhouzhou go on missions instead."
