After Divorce: Remarried to a Tycoon with Twin Babies-Chapter 90: Vivian Braves Danger to Rescue Jasmine and Her Father
Seeing Vivian Sinclair unexpectedly appear here, Jasmine’s tears suddenly flowed down.
"Vi, Vivian..."
"Why are you here?"
"You should leave, don’t worry about me!"
"This is not a good place, hurry and go—"
Vivian Sinclair went over, hugged her tightly, and then carefully looked her over, "Are you hurt anywhere?"
"Did they bully you?"
"Don’t be afraid, I’m here. If they bullied you, tell me, and I won’t let them off!"
Jasmine shook her head: "Just got slapped a few times, nothing else."
Vivian Sinclair checked her over.
The clothes were intact, indeed only some marks on the face.
But a few slaps are not a small matter either.
Vivian Sinclair looked up again at the people who brought Jasmine over, her anger actually intimidated them, and they couldn’t help but take a few steps back.
But Vivian Sinclair also understood that now was not the time for revenge, so she had to bear it.
At least Jasmine hadn’t suffered the worst, and Vivian Sinclair sighed with relief inside.
"It’s alright now, I came to take you home."
Hearing this, Jasmine could no longer hold back her sobs and burst into tears: "Vivian, I thought I’d never see you again—sob sob..."
"You actually risked everything to save me."
"It’s all my fault..."
Vivian Sinclair: "You risked everything to save me too, how could I ignore you?"
"Just don’t do anything stupid like this again next time, discuss everything with me first, okay?"
"Alright, let’s not talk about this now, get up first."
Jasmine quickly wiped her tears and got up, "But my dad..."
"In these two days, I’ve only seen him once. Vivian, my dad he was..."
Jasmine couldn’t continue speaking, it seemed Old Tanner’s situation was quite bad.
Vivian Sinclair looked towards the burly man, who stared menacingly at the contact person.
He also no longer had any patience or composure, punching the table hard: "Why are you dragging your feet to let someone go? Is this how The Drexlers conduct business?"
"Next time you step on our West Ardis turf, don’t expect an easy time!"
The opposing party clearly didn’t care about them at all, and lazily said, "No rush."
"This person, originally wouldn’t be let go under any circumstances, but on Mr. Ethan’s behalf, we’ve already relented, shouldn’t we clean him up a bit before handing him over?"
"Otherwise, we fear it might scare this anxious lady."
The malice in their eyes was crystal clear to Vivian Sinclair.
She already had a bad premonition in her heart.
Sure enough, by the time Old Tanner was brought up, although he was washed clean and dressed in fresh clothes, he was unconscious.
Old Tanner was dragged in by his arms placed over shoulders on either side, then they threw him on the ground like tossing a ragged bag.
Seeing this, Jasmine, even with all the past hatred for her abusive father, couldn’t accept it at this moment.
She directly fell to the ground, shaking Old Tanner continuously: "Dad, Dad?"
"Dad, wake up—"
Dr. Archer quickly stepped forward to check Old Tanner’s breath.
He was still breathing.
But seeing the bruised face and the visible scars all over his body, the situation seemed dire.
Dr. Archer gave Vivian Sinclair a look.
Vivian Sinclair’s face flushed with fury, her hands clenched tightly.
"Is this the person you returned to us?"
"What’s the difference between you and murderers!?"
"A bunch of criminals!"
Upon hearing Vivian’s angry curses, the opposition wasn’t mad, instead they laughed, "Oh, is the pretty lady angry?"
"But we did return the person alive. If he dies now that he’s in your hands, what’s that got to do with us?"
"Do you have evidence?"
"In Mr. Ethan’s view, we haven’t broken our word, right?"
As they laughed, they suddenly turned serious: "Now, the person is here."
"You, scram now."
"Otherwise if we suddenly change our mind about letting them go, none of you will leave."
Dr. Archer got up and moved back to Vivian’s side: "Young Madam, he needs medical attention urgently or... it’ll really be too late."
Vivian Sinclair knew that breaking in this far was the utmost she could do, she had no power or influence, the fact that Ethan could leverage for a painting to let her take him was already the best possible result.
This Mr. Ethan couldn’t guarantee anything else in The Drexlers’ territory.
So now, all she could do was swallow her pride.
Getting the person out was of utmost importance.
She nodded and looked at the burly man.
"Let’s go."
Vivian signaled her bodyguards, one carrying Old Tanner on his back, another supporting his back.
Dr. Archer was supporting Jasmine.
Vivian was sandwiched in the middle as the group hurried out of the room towards the main entrance.
Ethan’s three men swaggered ahead, but unexpectedly, trouble still came.
"Hold on."
Just as they were about to step out the door, suddenly, with a ’woosh,’ over twenty men in black appeared.
Each wore sunglasses, standing with hands behind their backs, blocking the path of Vivian and her group.
Seeing this, others quickly detoured to get away.
It was clear they were accustomed to such scenes.
Vivian was shocked: The Phoenixia Club in Southvale dared to act so brazenly in front of so many people, it was utterly lawless and unchecked!
The burly man stepped forward, blocking in front of Vivian and her group. "I thought our transaction was completed, what do you mean by blocking our way now?"
A tall woman with short hair, dressed in a black suit, stepped out. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Her eyes swept over the few people, finally resting on Vivian.
"We agreed to Boss Ethan’s terms to release the people."
"But now, Mr. Drexler also wants to meet this young lady."
"The young lady has such courage to ask Mr. Ethan for help to demand people from Mr. Drexler, it’s truly commendable courage."
"Mr. Drexler also wants to become acquainted with the young lady as a gesture of goodwill, isn’t that reasonable?"
"Boss Ethan can’t possibly meddle in this as well, can he?"
The woman’s gaze carried a hint of provocation, but her words were assertive, leaving the burly man with no grounds to refute.
He turned to Vivian, recalling the humiliation from her earlier scolding, he actually stepped aside, with a hint of watching the show.
"Miss Sinclair, perhaps you should go meet Mr. Drexler? It’s not good for your people to fall into his hands in the future."
"Making another friend just opens another door."
The burly man thought: Anyway, their task from the boss was as good as done. They weren’t told to send Miss Sinclair out completely unscathed. Whether she could leave safely today depended on her own skills, right?
After all, who’s to blame for her harsh words earlier!
The burly man was secretly delighted, having a full-on "watch-the-show" attitude.
Vivian remained calm, only asking, "What time is it?"
Dr. Archer, wearing a mechanical watch, quickly looked down, "Ten, it’s ten o’clock."
"Young Madam, they’re intentionally stalling us. If this drags on, even a deity couldn’t save Old Tanner."
Vivian knew these people were deliberately wasting time.
But she was waiting too.
"No rush, we can get away."
She quietly reassured her companions before looking up at the short-haired woman.
"It’s truly an honor for Mr. Drexler to take notice of someone as insignificant as me, but I’m really sorry. We’re in a rush today; how about I come for a visit another day?"
Vivian’s tone was already sufficiently humble, yet the other party was clearly not satisfied.
"Is the young lady not giving Mr. Drexler face?"
"I’ve heard you’re the Young Madam of the Grant Family?"
"Coincidentally, Mr. Drexler also has some connections with your family. For the Young Madam to demand someone from Mr. Drexler but refuse to even meet him, isn’t that a bit ungrateful?"
"If you refuse to go, you can’t blame us for taking you by force!"
As the short-haired woman finished speaking, she waved her hand, and more than twenty men in black immediately surrounded Vivian and her companions in a circle.
"Take her to see Mr. Drexler!"
Jasmine, seeing this, shouted out, "No one is allowed to touch her!"
She trembled as she retreated, tightly holding Vivian’s arm, "Vivian, it’s me and my dad who brought this trouble upon you."
"Even if I die today, I won’t let them touch you!"
Dr. Archer wanted to cry: But he didn’t want to die!!
Yet, he still trembled and stood in front of Vivian and Jasmine, "If you touch them, you’ll have to step over my body first!"
Vivian hadn’t spoken yet, but the short-haired woman laughed first.
The laugh was filled with mockery, "Just the few of you?"
"When Mr. Drexler wants to see someone, he always sees them."
"Don’t blame me for not warning you, little girl. Since we’ve already released you and your worthless father, you’d better leave immediately, or else if you fall into our Phoenixia’s hands again, you’ll be courting death."
"At that time, don’t blame us for going back on our word and capturing you again."
"Hurry and take the Young Madam away!"
With a stern shout from the short-haired woman, the men in black immediately surged forward.
Dr. Archer was the first victim, slapped away by someone.
The two bodyguards immediately moved to leave Old Tanner and protect Vivian, "Boss!"
Jasmine was also grabbed, and was about to be heavily thrown to the ground, Vivian quickly commanded loudly, "Stop! No one is allowed to move!"
