After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 581 - 233: Seduce Sister’s Lover Without Getting Killed
"Isn’t it spectacular?" Avatar Witch smiled faintly, standing at the edge of the cliff, gazing at the massive mountain range that seemed to divide the continent... no, it was more fitting to call it a colossal serpent. The awe-inspiring serpent coiled atop the land, its scales resembling towering peaks, spreading outward like a tiled sea, invoking a sense of dread in all who beheld it.
"Indeed." Goddess of Salvation replied softly. She had a feeling that the serpent sprawled across the land might trigger her divine power, for it exuded a presence capable of threatening the entire world—a scale so immense that even the slightest movement would spell catastrophic disaster.
"Shall we try to eliminate Yemengade?" Avatar Witch asked, her eyes gleaming with amusement as Goddess of Salvation shot her a puzzled glance.
Pointing at the serpent, she explained:
"Yemengade’s mere existence and breath occupy a vast amount of space for other living beings. Don’t you think it ought to be killed?"
Goddess of Salvation responded calmly, "Your danger isn’t much less than Yemengade’s. Does that mean I should kill you too?"
"That’s a fair point. So, shall we ask Yemengade’s master instead?" Avatar Witch chuckled softly, her gaze falling upon a green-haired girl approaching from nearby. The girl wore a form-fitting dress that hinted at the slender curve of her waist and navel, her alabaster feet walking upon the air without touching the ground—an aura of profound mystery surrounded her.
"Goddess of Salvation, correct?" Monster Witch ignored Avatar Witch entirely, stepping directly in front of the Goddess of Salvation.
She scrutinized the Savior Witch’s appearance.
"For that man to take you on as a student, it must mean you have something unique about you."
Goddess of Salvation instinctively asked, "You know my teacher?"
"We’ve had brief encounters," Monster Witch replied curtly, then added, "I know where that man is, but I have no reason to divulge such information to you. Besides, that man may not want you to find him right away. If he did, he would’ve already come to meet you."
"Speaking so bluntly will hurt the child, you know." Avatar Witch teased playfully. "She’s not even a year old. Saying her teacher has abandoned her outright—don’t you think that’s a bit harsh?"
Monster Witch: "..."
"Why do you know me?" Goddess of Salvation suddenly asked, perhaps as an attempt to shift the conversation.
To this, Monster Witch answered, "In the simulated world, my watchers are everywhere, and Avatar Witch specifically informed me of your arrival."
Goddess of Salvation nodded lightly, and then, in the farthest reaches of her vision, she saw the colossal serpent move. The land began to quake violently, massive fissures split open, and enormous rocks tumbled down from mountaintops.
"Let’s see if you can kill her," Monster Witch said matter-of-factly. "I know where your teacher is, but you must first slay Yemengade before I’ll reveal his whereabouts."
"Why do you insist on this?" Goddess of Salvation asked, only to suddenly find her perspective shifting. Her body inexplicably appeared in the skies, where she could see Yemengade slowly lifting her head, icy vertical pupils locking onto her gaze.
At that moment, she heard the voice of Monster Witch echo into her ears.
"Sometimes," the indifferent voice declared, "the world simply refuses to offer reason. And sometimes, all you can do is accept it."
There was no room left for negotiation, nor any choice but to embrace the grim reality—a battle between life and death awaited her.
"Roar!" Yemengade unleashed a thunderous roar, lunging to devour Goddess of Salvation. As the enormous snake mouth closed in, the world rapidly dimmed, and the last trace of sunlight vanished into darkness.
...
...
"Still far too inexperienced." Avatar Witch chuckled with a grin, seemingly unfazed by the fact that Goddess of Salvation had been consumed by the serpent. After all, the young deity’s age made even panic-induced tears seem reasonable.
She pressed her palms together and appealed to Monster Witch:
"Could you let Goddess of Salvation out? She doesn’t belong in pitch-blackness..."
Before her sentence could finish, light erupted from within Yemengade’s jaws. Although not blinding, the radiance carried immense destructive force, instantly carving a massive wound across the serpent’s chin.
And Goddess of Salvation emerged from the serpent’s mouth.
"What an intriguing power." Avatar Witch dropped her palms, carefully observing the fierce battle unfolding between Goddess of Salvation and Yemengade.
The confrontation appeared intensely ruthless. With every motion, Yemengade’s colossal form shook the earth, creating hurricanes that swept away everything in their path.
However, none of it harmed Goddess of Salvation—in fact, she seemed to deliberately avoid delivering a killing blow to Yemengade.
The battle raged on for what felt like eternity.
The land was dyed crimson with blood, which flowed like rivers through valleys and across ridges.
Yemengade let out a mournful cry before her massive serpentine body collapsed to the ground. Her frame was riddled with unhealable wounds, and torrents of blood cascaded from them as if waterfalls pouring endlessly.
"I guess this means I’ve won?" Goddess of Salvation lifted her delicate face, gazing directly into Yemengade’s colossal serpent eyes, beaming with a radiant, sunlit smile. "We have no reason to kill each other."
Yemengade stared at the smiling girl and slowly closed her serpent eyes. Her enormous body began to shrink, transforming into a green-haired maiden covered in wounds, her red blood still oozing out.
"I lost," she confessed, staggering toward the young woman. "Even if Monster Witch commands me to continue fighting you, I would refuse."
