After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 593 - 238: Partner, Join Me in Burning Down the World
The bathroom door swung open.
The Corpse Witch stepped out, winding white cloth around her arm as she strode toward the center of the living room.
Xi Mu sat on the couch, watching the approaching Corpse Witch. Her mature body appeared even more alluring after the bath. With every twist of the cloth around her arm, her arm brushed against her full bosom. The prominent curves shifted slightly and then rebounded, trembling softly like gelatin.
"Remember to find me when you return to the real world." The Corpse Witch flicked her water-blue hair and sat beside Ahtal, her ample hips flattening slightly into a rounded shape.
She began explaining to Ahtal.
"The Avatar Witch wants to borrow the power of my followers to launch a tentative attack against you."
Xi Mu chuckled lightly: "Perhaps the Avatar Witch is the one most purely intent on saving the world after all."
The Corpse Witch nodded slightly, acknowledging Ahtal’s statement.
Though she hadn’t spent much time with the Avatar Witch, she could discern that the Avatar Witch was genuinely committed to saving the world. She was highly action-oriented and eager to support any plan that aimed to achieve salvation.
This was the reason she agreed to the Avatar Witch’s request.
"I’m back." A melodious voice suddenly sounded. Xi Mu and the Corpse Witch turned toward the source of the voice. Letixia had walked in, followed closely by Ashliya and the Goddess of Salvation.
"Then I won’t disturb your reunion." The Corpse Witch tossed her water-blue hair, nodded lightly to Letixia, and then transformed into a faint shadow, disappearing as if she had never existed at all.
"Why leave so hastily?" Letixia asked in surprise. She noticed that the women who came to visit Ahtal often arrived and departed suddenly, without making the effort to interact or explain their intentions.
But considering that they were witches—proud and self-assured beings—she could understand why they didn’t engage with her. Deep down, she was aware that if not for Ahtal, she would probably have no connection to these witches at all.
"She needs to contemplate how to transcend Ragnarok in this simulation." Xi Mu provided an explanation, gazing toward the horizon. "Soon, I will burn this simulated world into ashes."
Letixia’s attention shifted, and she asked Ahtal: "So soon you’re going to destroy this simulated world?"
Xi Mu nodded slightly: "They’ve grown impatient from waiting. Even if I don’t descend, they’ll find ways to artificially accelerate the arrival of Ragnarok."
Letixia remained silent.
The inevitability of Ragnarok’s arrival was something she had discussed with Ahtal late into the night. Their conclusion was that it couldn’t be avoided. Different people had different choices and stances, and sooner or later, some would push for Ragnarok to come faster.
Now, her thoughts had simply come true.
"During Ragnarok’s arrival, will staying in the simulated world be dangerous?" Ashliya patted her chest and sat on the other side of Ahtal. As if frightened, she clung to Ahtal’s sleeve.
Seeing this scene, Letixia let out a weary sigh. She stood up, grabbed Ashliya by the collar, and dragged her toward the door, mumbling about needing sparring practice. It was obvious she intended to teach her sister, who was trying to seduce her lover, a lesson.
Xi Mu withdrew his gaze and turned to the Goddess of Salvation beside him: "Do you have any questions you’d like to ask?"
The Goddess of Salvation nodded obediently and sat beside Ahtal, voicing the bewilderment she had been harboring in her heart.
The next day.
The Goddess of Salvation and Yemengade ventured out to a desolate island where they found a flow demon who wielded the power of fluid motion. The demon could conjure colossal marine storms with ease, alter the trajectory of incoming attacks, and thus render most damage ineffective.
In both offense and defense, the demon was nearly flawless.
The battle raged on for days. The storms summoned by the flow demon repeatedly overwhelmed the Goddess of Salvation, but under the blessing of divine immortality, she rose again and again, retaliating against the demon.
The tempest that could overturn seas and shake the heavens spread across the boundless ocean, turning the crashing waves on distant shores chaotic.
From afar, one could see the horizon engulfed by dark clouds, storms, and the roaring of thunder interwoven with violent gusts. A gargantuan serpent was visible, unleashing attacks against an elusive foe.
Atop the serpent’s head was a Valkyrie—with golden hair flowing—wielding a sacred sword in one hand and a shield in the other, bravely engaging the demon in battle.
Hours passed.
The battle subsided.
The golden sacred sword ignored the concept of "fluidity" and pierced through the flow demon’s chest, ending its existence.
Then.
"So liberating—I despise fighting gods." The flow demon shared its final sentiments, gazing at the young girl before him... no, at the deity instead.
"The divine immortality paired with your abilities is truly... effective. However, when facing beings like the King of Ash, you won’t be able to rely on divine immortality to slowly learn and decipher your enemy’s strengths, finally landing the decisive strike."
He offered his advice.
"Though you indeed possess the potential for salvation." With those words, the flow demon’s body dissolved into gray mist that the ocean winds carried into the air.
The Goddess of Salvation fell backward, landing on Yemengade’s head. Her chest heaved heavily, beads of sweat dripping from her forehead. Blood speckled her clothing.
She had won.
Though it was an exceedingly hard-fought victory, she relied on divine immortality and the authority of salvation, methodically eliminating the flow demon through countless trials and errors.
