After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 594 - 238: Partner, Join Me in Burning Down the World_2
"How are you feeling?" Yemengade’s voice echoed, and the Goddess of Salvation paused to ponder before she smiled:
"Feeling... very good. Though I got beaten for a long time, I finally won. I feel amazing. If my teacher knew, he would definitely praise me."
Yemengade chuckled softly as her sprawling serpentine form began to move, heading toward the Iris Flower Kingdom. In truth, she felt that the Flow Demon might have been defeated partly out of sheer annoyance. Otherwise, by relying on the Flow Demon’s mastery over the concept of flow, avoiding attacks through accelerating movement should have been easy enough.
But such efforts ultimately bore little meaning. Facing a Goddess of Salvation who could not be killed, surrendering to death might even seem preferable.
Of course, this was merely speculation. Perhaps the Goddess of Salvation had truly grown strong enough to annihilate demons. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

In the Iris Flower Kingdom.
At the Punk Tavern.
"Well done." Xi Mu offered praise generously, casually brushing aside the Goddess of Salvation’s hair from her forehead. "Defeating the Flow Demon—without a doubt, that’s major progress."
The Goddess of Salvation nodded vigorously, her elegant and charming face lighting up with a radiant smile: "Teacher, I’ll keep working hard!"
Xi Mu paused briefly and then reached out to tousle her hair before proactively beginning his teachings, guiding her on how to fight more effectively.
He possessed certain detailed information about the Flow Demon, a formidable conceptual entity that wielded the power of flow—able to unleash storms devastating enough to sweep away everything, divert attacks through flow manipulation, move at hyper speeds, or infuse its blows with flow to enhance destruction.
In theory, it was an impeccable ability. However, when faced with stronger conceptual beings, it wasn’t undefeatable.
And the Goddess of Salvation was undoubtedly the stronger conceptual entity.
After the mentoring session concluded...
The next morning, filled with resolute ambition, the Goddess of Salvation stepped out once again, seeking another demon or witch to battle.
Strangely, the air seemed hotter than usual, as though someone had placed the world’s furnace atop a blazing pyre, causing the temperature to rise ominously—leaving many feeling uneasy.
After searching for some time...
The Goddess of Salvation encountered a witch whose race was elven. She wielded the power of Sloth, capable of rendering all things inert, robbing any chance of proactive offense.
The Goddess of Salvation and the Lazy Witch lay side by side on a grass field for a long while, engaging only in verbal dialogue. There seemed to be no hostility between them.
Eventually, faint light began to radiate from the Goddess of Salvation’s body—a manifestation of her salvific powers as they sought to birth mental resistance against hellish indolence.
Yet, her body remained weakened and limp.
Without achieving omnipotence or possessing adequate resolve, the Lazy Witch’s powers proved exceedingly suitable for survival.
However.
"Go ahead and kill me." The Lazy Witch sat up, smiling warmly at the Goddess of Salvation. "If you’ve managed to overcome the paralysis of sloth, it means the salvific will within you runs deep."
She yawned.
"I have no intention of dragging a hero down, so I’ll have to log off."
"..."
The Goddess of Salvation hesitated but, upon seeing the witch’s gentle smile, plunged her holy sword into the Lazy Witch’s heart.
It was a profoundly peculiar feeling. Though the two hadn’t communicated much, merely sharing thoughts aloud, she suddenly had a clearer understanding of how to fulfill her mission of salvation.
Her mindset matured quietly, imperceptibly.
"Make sure you succeed in saving the world, or I won’t get any chance to slack off." The Lazy Witch offered a kind, faint smile as her form dissolved into black mist, vanishing.
Yemengade arrived at that moment: "Salvation, it seems like you’ve changed?"
The Goddess of Salvation shook her head, maintaining her usual smile: "I’ve simply become firmer in my convictions—nothing has changed."
"Is that so?" Yemengade muttered thoughtfully and then smiled. She knew well that people change, their ideas evolving with time. Let alone surviving in an apocalypse—it’s rare to retain one’s initial purity.
Yet now, it seemed the Goddess of Salvation had only strengthened her original beliefs.
...
...
The air grew increasingly scorching.
Unnoticed at first, flames began to ignite across the earth, transforming the world into a mountainous inferno. Aside from the demons or witches, most weaker beings were reduced to ash.
In this turbulent time, the Goddess of Salvation achieved three more victories.
"Ah~ Is this what Ragnarok feels like?"
In a burning village, a corpse engulfed in flames gazed up at the sky—it belonged to a human blessed by the Corpse Witch, able to withstand the Ash Fire... though only its low-intensity burns.
Fueling his flesh as kindling, he coexisted with the Ash Fire, which only allowed him marginally prolonged survival amid its catastrophic heat.
"The King of Ash is truly... terrifying." He stretched his arms skyward, his limbs consumed by fire.
Though he understood the King of Ash’s malevolence—or rather, horror—on a deeper level at this moment, there was no hatred or loathing in his heart.
Instead, a strange reverence mixed with awe emerged.
"What an unparalleled being. Simply descending into existence overturns the old world—no wonder the gods could not withstand such a presence."
[Offer everything to save the world.] The Corpse Witch’s voice suddenly whispered into the man’s ears.
"Lady Corpse Witch, may we wait a moment?" The man humbly requested, his fiery eyes gazing at the sky, now hollow with endless depth.
"I want to witness the descent of the King of Ash with my own eyes."
No response.
It might count as consent—after all, anyone who survived the burning world harbored some desire to witness the King of Ash’s arrival.
Only then could they discern whether accepting the Delusional Demon’s true death was necessary.
Meanwhile.
In the Iris Flower Kingdom.
"Partner, come with me to the burning world this time." Xi Mu stood on the balcony, addressing Sleipnir beside him. "This isn’t a journey for me alone but for us together—to face the consuming world."
Sleipnir gazed at the flaming ground before shifting into her true form. Xi Mu mounted her expertly, glancing back into the living room at those gathered. His crimson gemstone-like pupils glimmered brightly before he rode off into the horizon.
In the living room...
"Salvation, are you trembling?" Yemengade suddenly asked, observing the Goddess of Salvation, whose bowed head was veiled by golden hair. Her keen senses immediately noticed something amiss—a quivering, as if in fear.
The Goddess of Salvation lifted her face, scanning those present: "I can’t say for sure. Just the thought of raising my sword against Teacher..."
"Are you considering giving up?" Letixia inquired. The Goddess of Salvation shook her head faintly, tightening her grip on her holy sword:
"I must wield my sword against Teacher."
"Then you’ll need effort," Letixia remarked plainly, without censuring her actions. She understood that the Goddess of Salvation had to confront her teacher boldly; otherwise, the true nature of the King of Ash would remain unknown.
Without recognizing the King of Ash accurately, salvation for the world could not be achieved.
"Understood." The Goddess of Salvation nodded firmly. She locked eyes with Yemengade for a moment before the two departed the living room. A serpentine figure emerged in the sky shortly after, and the Goddess of Salvation stood on the serpent’s head, vanishing amidst the flames.
"Let’s go—we need to reach the Ark." A pale-haired girl spoke coolly, leaving the living room and leading the others toward the Alchemical Witch’s prepared Ark.
In truth, the Alchemical Witch’s Ark could never fully resist the consuming heat of the Ash Fire. But it sufficed for research and data collection.
...
...
Hooves pounded upon the earth.
Xi Mu summoned the spear of destiny and the Great Sword of Death. Though fabricated replicas, they were enough for the battle ahead.
"Roar!" A sudden howl shook the heavens as the flames across the land extended their gaze. Emerging from the fire was a towering wolf, gargantuan enough to overshadow mountains, its limbs capable of crushing peaks.
Fenrir Wolf.
This supreme beast, forged by the Monster Witch using her collected powers, surpassed the Typhon Monster as her ultimate creation.
Xi Mu chuckled lightly: "A mother wolf?"
Fenrir’s icy blue eyes glimmered coldly. Her massive frame crouched slightly, preparing to lunge forward. But just before she initiated her assault...
"King of Ash, don’t you dare hide!" A thunderous roar erupted as a dark-skinned man suddenly charged forth.
He aimed a punch directly at Ahtal.
There was no hesitation.
No second thoughts.
No fear.
At that instant, the world screamed in sorrow. The Density Demon’s veins expanded to their limits, overflowing with boiling blood as he poured every ounce of strength into a single punch, pushing his density-driven powers to their zenith.
This was his one and only chance to wound the King of Ash.
Xi Mu’s ruby-like pupils glowed even brighter as he countered the oncoming attack with his spear of destiny.
Light engulfed everything.
