Ah! The Villains I Forced to Turn Evil Can Read My Mind-Chapter 312
Qiao Chuchu resisted, “Don’t touch me!!”
Pei Fengnong ignored her protest, cupping her face as he humbly apologized, “I’m sorry, Chuchu. I shouldn’t have kept it from you back then. The others and I planned to come clean on the final day, but I didn’t expect you to find out now.”
“Do you really think I’d believe that?” Qiao Chuchu met his gaze, her eyes like a blade piercing his chest, her voice icy. “I was willing to die to save you, yet you couldn’t even give me a single honest word. Do you really expect me to buy such an excuse?!”
“I’m telling the truth! And I know I was wrong!” Pei Fengnong’s hands trembled as he held hers, pleading, “Don’t be angry with me. Punish me however you want!”
Qiao Chuchu’s attention drifted to the scar on his arm, her thoughts wandering.
Years ago, she and Pei Fengnong had been in a car together.
The system had ordered her to grab the steering wheel.
At the time, she had been shocked and furious—but she had done it anyway.
Because of her, Pei Fengnong’s arm had been shattered, leaving him with permanent damage and ending his dreams of F1 racing.
The internet had exploded with hate toward him. He had locked himself in his room, refusing food, refusing to see anyone, drowning in pain.
The memory made Qiao Chuchu’s chest tighten until she could barely breathe. “Pei Fengnong, of all the brothers, you’re the one I wronged the most. I ruined your future.”
Pei Fengnong stared at her in disbelief.
She lay on the bed, her long hair cascading softly around her, her gaze avoiding his as she looked out the window. “So when you died… even though I had no memories at the time, I was driven by something—some force—to bring you back.”
A tear from Pei Fengnong fell onto her face, as if she were the one crying.
Gradually, she calmed, meeting his eyes again. “So let’s call it even.”
Pei Fengnong: “?”
Qiao Chuchu pushed him away and sat up. “I ruined your future. There’s no washing that away. No matter how forced I was, what I did was wrong, and I should bear the consequences.”
“You hid the truth from me—that was also wrong. So we’re even.”
She got out of bed and strode to the walk-in closet, flinging open the jewelry cabinet. After sifting through the pieces, she picked out the ones Pei Fengnong had given her.
The most recent was that dazzling pink diamond ring.
She placed it on the table. “Take it all back. I’ll return every cent you ever gave me. I don’t want a single thing. From now on, we’re done.”
Pei Fengnong’s face paled. “I don’t want us to be done!”
In a flash, he was in front of her. “I don’t care what you did in the past—you were forced into it! Back then, I was too blind to see that, and I held a grudge against you. But now? I don’t blame you at all. I know you were trapped, that you had no choice!”
He bent down, begging her. “You saved my life. That’s not something we can just ‘call even’! Be angry with me, treat me however you want—just don’t cut me off, please!”
Qiao Chuchu’s expression remained wooden, unmoved by his pleas.
Like a breeze brushing past, leaving no ripple behind.
Pei Fengnong grew more frantic, turning her face toward him. “Chuchu, I’m begging you! I’ll do anything!”
Qiao Chuchu met his eyes. “Then help me now—let me leave.”
Pei Fengnong froze—then suddenly dropped to his knees!
Qiao Chuchu: “?!”
Dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, his hair neatly slicked back, his sharp features inches away—Pei Fengnong, who was known for his ruthless efficiency in public, now knelt before her, clutching her legs in desperate supplication.
“I’m kneeling for you. Don’t be angry with me. Please, Chuchu—name your terms. Whatever you want, I’ll do it!”
Qiao Chuchu’s face twisted in shock as she tried to pull him up. “Stop this! Get up!”
“I won’t!” Pei Fengnong clung to her legs. “I know I hurt you. I know words mean nothing now. Kneeling is the only thing I can think of. Punish me however you want—I’ll take it all! I swear!”
Qiao Chuchu couldn’t take it anymore. She shoved him to the ground. “I said we’re done! Stop being so shameless!!”
[He used to be so cold and short-tempered.]
[Now he’s no different from a dog!]
Pei Fengnong stumbled but scrambled back to wrap his arms around her legs. “I’ll be a dog! If it means you’ll forgive me, I’ll be a dog!”
He straightened on his knees, looking every bit like a loyal hound waiting for its master’s command. “I’ll give you my company. I’ll work for you for free. Just forgive me, please!”
Qiao Chuchu’s chest ached with fury. “Since when did you become so disgusting?!”
[Even in the script, when Pei Fengnong turned dark, he stood tall beside Xia Xuechun, never once bowing his head! What is this?!]
Pei Fengnong didn’t hesitate. “Xia Xuechun is Xia Xuechun. You’re you. We grew up together, shared hardships—how could she ever compare to you?!”
Qiao Chuchu stiffened.
[I still haven’t gotten used to them hearing my thoughts.]
She laughed bitterly. “Fine. If you care so much, then take me outside.”
Pei Fengnong: “?”
Qiao Chuchu leaned down, her voice a silken whisper. “You said you’d do anything I ask. So take me out. Can you do that?”
Pei Fengnong hesitated, lowering his head.
Qiao Chuchu narrowed her eyes, taunting him. “Is this your so-called sincerity? You won’t even take me out?”
Pei Fengnong’s face darkened. “Of course not!”
“Then find a way to get me out!” Qiao Chuchu cupped his face eagerly. “If you do, you’ll still be my dear fourth brother. Deal?”
For a moment, Pei Fengnong wavered.
His eyes flickered with hope—only to dim seconds later as he coldly uttered—
“No.”
Qiao Chuchu: “?”
Still kneeling, his expression hardened. “You’re just using me to escape. Once you’re out, you’ll never come back. Do you think I don’t know you?”
Qiao Chuchu: “…”
Caught, she bit her lip guiltily.
Pei Fengnong wrapped his arms around her legs again, resuming his pleading. “Isn’t this enough? The brothers are all characters you love. Everyone you care about is right here. You can boss us around however you like—isn’t that good enough?”
He pressed her hand to his cheek. “You were willing to die for me. I’d do the same for you. I’ll give you anything—except your freedom.”
She yanked her hand back in disgust. “What I need now is distance from all of you!”
Pei Fengnong’s face darkened. “You’re not going anywhere!!!”
Qiao Chuchu: “?!”
In an instant, Pei Fengnong surged to his feet, his broad frame looming over her like a mountain as he crushed her against his chest!
She gasped, shoving at him. “Let go!!”
Pei Fengnong effortlessly tightened his grip, trapping her slender body against him. “Unless you agree to go back to how things were—you’re not leaving!”
