Almighty Father System-Chapter 371: Situations Sorted.

Leo told Snow what happened at the military office and she was surprised. She didn't ask him why he did what he did, but she simply wanted to know if there would be any follow up complexities. Leo assured that it was settled and all that was left was for the military to give him an explanation.

Snow nodded and then said, "I felt that the children look a little pale, so I contacted the doctor when you were gone, she said that we should take them out for a walk in the garden or the locality when the sun is out. It is almost autumn and they can use this sun and wind to temper themselves."

Leo nodded and said, "Sure, if the temperature is right tomorrow, we can go."

Snow nodded and leaned in on his shoulder, as she said, "I love you."

Leo smiled and softly said, "I love you too."

Lily walked inside the room and said, "I love you all."

The couple turned around to see her wearing the expression of an old lady and they chased after the little goblin. That night Captain Barton turned up at the door of the mansion and when he saw the red sigil engraved on the doors, he was overwhelmed by the authority displayed just at the entrance.

He pressed the intercom button and someone from the inside said, "Please state your name and purpose of visit."

Captain Barton nodded and followed the instructions the sling around his neck was a stark reminder of what could happen when he tries to act all mighty. The superior had nagged him to be in line when he comes here, because Leo Cardinal didn't only have the license to arm with firearms, he also had the guts to do something like using them.

The door was opened and he was allowed inside the room. The young officer was checked laxly but he knew that this place was akin to a dungeon, and any mistake could trigger doom, because all the guards reeked of killing intent. Kyle had told the people what happened, and the guards felt insulted, someone dared to lay hands on the Boss and even tried to intimidate the Young Miss, had it not been for the fact that the world was governed by laws, they would have killed this guy.

He was brought to the foyer, where Leo stood waiting for him. The man asked, "Captain Barton, what can I do for you now?"

Captain Barton was wearing his military uniform, and he quickly took off his cap and said, "Sir, I apologize to you for creating the nuisance earlier."

Leo waved his hand and said, "No worries, you were on orders, now tell me why have you come over at this hour?"

Captain Barton quickly took out the folder from his aide and said, "Sir, this is the envelope with written apology from me, Colonel Hardings and Brigade Commander Hemmings. We all have been ordered to return to different command posts and Colonel Hardings have been issued a letter of probation."

The young man sighed and replied, "Fine, I will accept the apology. Come in, have some tea before you leave."

The captain wanted to say no, when Leo turned around to lead the way. In the living room, Leo said, "Alpha, serve some tea for the guest, and bring some refreshments."

The robot replied from the kitchen, "Yes, Sire."

Shortly after, a black robot walked over with a trolley pushing in a tea set and a tray of macarons. He placed them on the table and made the tea for the captain and his aide. The scene stunned Barton and the other guy. Leo looked at the other guy and asked, "If I am not wrong, you are Private Stevens? Right?"

The private immediately went in attention and replied, "Sir, yes sir."

Leo smiled and said, "No need to be so tout. Relax, has your leg been troubling you lately?"

The private was surprised and then replied, "No, Sir. It feels like the prosthetic is a part of my own body. With the new upgrade in software, I can kind of feel the sensations from every part. They stimulate a sensation as if they are my muscles."

Leo smiled and nodded as he said, "This is a good news. I am glad that it is helping you. If you feel even slightest bit of discomfort, then do reach out to the technicians. Although we try to stay at the top of it all, the prosthetic is after all a piece of technology and it can glitch."

The man nodded and thanked Leo profusely. After having a tea, they left, and Leo saw them off. In the car, Captain Barton asked, "Stevie, you have a prosthetic? I never knew."

The private smiled while driving the vehicle, and said, "Sir, this tech is marvelous. Not only did the company gives it a software update regularly but they have come to develop a silicon based layer that looks no different that human skin. It is very popular among the veterans, when they are in public they keep on this sleeve and they merge within the public. Yes, metal detectors are a problem, but not too much."

Captain Barton nodded, he asked, "What happened to you?" 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

The Private replied, "Well, during one of the landslide rescues, a boulder role over and crushed the shin bone in my right leg to pieces and it also shredded the muscles to nothing. The only way to make sure that I return to the army hospital was an emergent amputation. So the field doctor cauterized my wound and when I woke up, someone from the Cardinal Group approached me and asked if I would like to volunteer for the testing of their prosthetic.

They have allowed many people like me to come back and serve the country. This is nothing short of a miracle for those of us who thought they would never be able to wear a uniform. The military doesn't treat us any different. We have the same training as the rest and we have the same duties as the rest."

Captain Barton sighed and said, "To think that a man can develop something like this, it's incredible."

The private replied, "He doesn't even charge us for the prosthetic. It is given out for free. That is what's even more incredible."

The two people praised Cardinal Group and cursed their fate to be stupid while they laughed.

Snow came down in the living room, and she picked up the envelope before she began to read the content. After a while, she nodded and then stood up. Leo asked, "Where are you going?"

Snow replied, "Where else, I am going to put these in the vault. Do you think a Military Brigade Commander would apologize to a civilian like this on a daily basis?"

Leo chuckled and then he headed to find Lily, who was supposed to be sleeping. It was his habit to check on her, and just when he reached his room, he sighed, and Snow asked him as he entered the room, "Why are you sighing?"

Leo shook his head and replied, "I am worried, what might I do when Lily grows up and asks me for privacy? Would I still be able to check on her?"

Snow smiled and said, "You are so silly at times that I feel like you are the child among the two of you."

Leo was stunned and then asked, "Oh, is that so? Let me show you who is the child."

He took off his shirt and was ready to pounce on her when Elena woke up and Alpha notified him. Leo had to put back his clothes and walk out of the room, while Snow smuggly said, "Hmph, first you get past my bodyguards and then try to bully me, see how I sort you out."

Leo almost tripped and fell on his face. He reached the baby room and found Elena was crying, and he picked her up gently as he asked, "What happened to my little darling? Did you get a nightmare?"

He could tell that she was not wet, and it wasn't yet the time for her feed. He placed a hand on her tummy and found that Elena was bloated a little. The young man smiled and said, "No worries, Baba will fix you up right away, my love. Who is Baba's treasure? Elle."

He coaxed her with his soft voice and then placed her on the cushion board on the side and then massaged her body gently before he lifted her tiny legs and made whooshing sounds as he went about a few movements. Then the pressure from these movements caused Elena to fart and gradually her brows relaxed. Leo smiled at her and played for a few minutes, before coaxing her back to sleep.

However, one question echoed in his mind, 'Why did Elena get bloated?'

He thought for a moment and decided to bring the children to the doctors tomorrow for vaccination and then he would ask them if it was normal. However, he had decided to do it subtly and not make it a big issue.
