Alpha Razor King-Chapter 54: In Trouble!
**Isabella**
We arrived at the Hives club, immediately greeted by loud music and the pungent smell of weed. I couldn’t be any happier; I’ve missed this so much. One thing seems to be bothering me though: what if Razor calls me here? I won’t be able to answer, and then he might suspect something... I just hope he doesn’t..
Next to me, Cross scanned the area, presumably searching for his girlfriend. "Why don’t you go along? I’ll be around," I suggested, but he shook his head.
"I can’t let you out of my sight. What if something happens to you?" he retorted, pulling me away from a stumbling, clearly intoxicated man.
"I’m not a kid, Cross. I can take care of myself, and I’ve been training, remember? If you need anything, just call or text me. Now go, I’m sure your friend is waiting for you."
He hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Alright then, just be careful, please. The last time I was here, the damn Mafia attacked us."
That piece of information didn’t sit well with me, but I forced a smile. "I’ve got it." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
With one last nod, he made his way towards the VIP area, disappearing from my view. Now, I had to locate Ian, but the club was so crowded, and I couldn’t even reach Ian on the phone.
I decided to start by grabbing a drink. I headed for the bar and ordered a whiskey instead of my favorite, a dry martini. I was still traumatized; the last time I was at the club, I got drugged after drinking a dry martini and was sold.
The bartender handed me my drink, and I took a deep breath before sipping, just to be safe. Before I knew it, I had ordered more bottles and a cigarette. I hadn’t been able to smoke since I got married; that jerk smoked freely while forbidding me from doing so.
"Care for a dance?" A deep voice pulled me from my thoughts. I looked up, blinking away the blur from my eyes to see a tall, muscular man standing in front of me. His features were sharp, his eyes dark and inviting.
"Sure thing," I agreed, sending him a flirty smile. I needed this distraction, something to take my mind off Razor.
He took my hand and led us to the dance floor. As we moved to the music, I felt a little lightheaded, partly from the drinks and partly from the excitement. A moment of fear flashed through me at the thought of Razor seeing me with another man, but tonight, I just wanted to let go. After all, I had no intention of returning to Razor.
I danced and rocked with the handsome stranger, letting the music guide my movements. For a while, everything else faded away, and it was just me and him, lost in the rhythm of the night. But then, as if out of nowhere, someone tapped my shoulder.
I turned, expecting to see Cross or perhaps another admirer, but to my surprise, it was Cain. My heart skipped a beat as I took in his familiar face, his expression unreadable. What the fuck was he doing here?
"Cain," I said, trying to keep my voice steady despite my surprise."What are you doing here?"
He gave me a small smile, his eyes searching the surroundings. "I need to speak to you."
"You look quite... hot," Cain smirked, eying me up and down.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever..."
I excused myself from the handsome stranger and followed Cain back to the bar, my mind racing with questions.
"What the fuck are you doing here, and where’s Ian? I’ve been trying to contact him, but it’s not connecting." I tapped my fingers on the table impatiently, the urgency of the situation sinking in.
"I’m on duty today," Cain replied calmly. "We’re patrolling our territory to make sure the Mafia don’t try any shit or so."
I felt a wave of panic wash over me, my stomach churning. "Does that mean Razor and his men are around here?" The alcohol seemed to have cleared from my eyes, leaving me with a sobering sense of danger.
"No, no," Cain reassured me, his eyes still cautiously surveying our surroundings. "He’s not. You can relax." He paused, then added, "Ian was the one who asked me to help you meet him. He can’t come here by himself; they might see him."
Relief flooded through me, but it was short-lived. "So, how do we get out of here?" The club suddenly felt like a trap, every corner a potential danger.
Cain glanced around, his expression serious."We have to be careful," Cain stated, standing up from his seat. "Come, follow me... I have to get you out of here before they notice my presence."
I stood up, and we started walking away from the bar when suddenly, a loud bang echoed, throwing the club into chaos.
"What the fuck was that?" I gasped, mouth wide open, watching as people began to take cover, and soon, gunshots rang in the air.
"The fucking Mafia are back!" someone screamed, running past us.
"We have to leave," Cain urged, grabbing my hand. But I hesitated.
"Cross, I... I can’t leave him here... What if..." I trailed off, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Forget about him, he’s strong. He can handle himself," Cain reassured me, pulling me along. But as we moved, I heard my name.
Turning back, I saw Cross approaching us, a girl by his side. "Isabella, thank god, I was worried sick about you. We have to get out of here..." He paused, noticing Cain.
"You’re also here?" Cross asked Cain, who looked a bit confused at the question.
"I don’t understand," Cain wondered aloud.
"Some members of our pack followed the Mafia here."
"What!" Cain and I exclaimed in unison, surprising Cross.
"Come on, Cross, we have to go now," the girl urged him.
I took a closer look at her and realized she was the ash-blond girl from the restaurant, the one with Ian. Why was she with Cross? Was she a two-timing bitch or something?
"Come on, let’s go before someone recognizes us," Cain motioned for us to follow him as we ran towards the restricted area, only to be cornered by some Mafia men. Thankfully, Cain and Cross took care of them quickly, breaking their necks.
We finally walked out of the exit, only to be met by my biggest nightmare, Razor King. He stood in front of us, his green eyes narrowing slightly in dangerous shock.
