Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 252-Ivy Is Full Of Wisdom
Iris:
We were sitting together on the couch for about half an hour, watching a movie. My head rested against his shoulder, and his arm was wrapped around me.
My fingers tangled with his. It had been so long since we sat like this, since we were not fighting.
I do not know. There was a sense of comfort in his arms. We put on the movie because there were many things we could not speak about at that moment.
"Wow, that’s a good morning," Zoe remarked as she came out, letting out a little laugh.
Then my children appeared behind her. They were sleepy, rubbing their eyes.
"Mommy, daddy," they murmured.
I do not know why. It was as if they understood there had been trouble between us.
The moment they saw us sitting together, they looked at each other, then jumped happily and rushed toward us.
Amy jumped into her father’s lap, while Colin crawled toward me. We pulled away from each other to focus on them.
"Does that mean we are not leaving, Mommy?" Colin asked, holding my face in his hands so I would not look away from him.
I laughed as his tiny hands pressed against my cheeks.
"No, we are staying here. In your home. In my home. In your father’s home," I replied.
Saying it out loud with such confidence made my cheeks swell with happiness.
"Really? Is it true?" Zoe asked her brother. There was excitement in her voice.
I could not really decipher Zoe anymore, but she seemed genuinely happy for us.
"Yeah, finally your sister-in-law has decided to forgive me," Kash commented, a wide smile spreading across his lips.
"Because I told her why I married Lara in the first place," he added.
As he spoke, Zoe pulled her eyebrows together and looked at him in confusion.
"For the answer, she was sick and I needed medicine. I got it from none other than Blue River water," Kash explained.
As soon as he said that, it made sense to Zoe. She pulled her head back, then nodded as if she finally understood.
"So that is why you married Lara? It makes sense," Zoe remarked, tapping her finger on her chin.
Kash nodded at her.
"Exactly. Anyway, let’s have a grand breakfast to mark the start of our relationship again and the new things to come," Kash declared, rising from beside me with Amy in his arms.
"Daddy, does that mean we will go to school from here?" Amy asked.
"Oh my God, I will be so happy to tell everyone that I am living with the Alpha King and that he is my daddy," she continued, speaking with Kash and making him laugh.
I was left behind with Colin and Zoe.
"I am happy for you," Zoe began, making me raise one eyebrow.
"I truly am. It seems as if I was just bitter for no reason. Because I had insecurities. And I was taking them out on you," she rushed out, avoiding my eyes before she turned and hurried away.
"Maids, come here. We have a whole feast to prepare," she called.
Everything felt set and settled. I turned to look at Colin.
"Are you happy now?" I asked, giving him a smile.
He nodded aggressively. Then he leaned forward, asking me to carry him in my arms.
So I did.
I carried my son to the bathroom and gave him a shower. I freshened him up.
By the time I finished, Amy had arrived. After they were ready, they went to play in the living room while I began to get dressed.
I was going to look my part. I was going to look like the Luna Queen I was.
A wide smile rested on my lips. Then, as if things were not already going well, I heard a soft whisper inside me.
"Seeing you smile makes me happy."
For a moment, I froze. Then my body jolted.
I looked around. Then I listened.
"Did I scare the Luna Queen?" the voice came again, and my eyes grew wide.
"You are my wolf?" I asked, and she snickered.
"I am Ivy. I am sorry for taking time to wake up and respond to you," she replied in her gentle voice.
Ever since I transitioned two or three days ago, I had tried to call for her, but she never answered. So her sudden response startled me, though in a good way.
"Well, I hope you do not fall asleep again," I remarked, making a small joke, and I heard her laugh in my head.
"Iris, I do not want to spoil your mood, but you know our troubles are not over yet, right?" she continued.
Her tone slowly shifted to seriousness, and my body flinched.
"I know. I am aware that Lara will not just walk away like that," I began, curling my hair with a curling iron.
"No, I am not talking about Lara. She is the least of our problems. Kash is not accepting her. She is not the issue," she replied.
As she said that, I gulped and stopped breathing for a moment.
"Then what other troubles are we going to face?" I asked, my hand pausing mid curl.
"We are a lycan in a werewolf community. It will take time before people accept us. And that is not the only issue," she continued.
"You think our brother and our mother will not come for us? Their silence is dangerous," she warned, causing goosebumps to rise on my skin.
"Think about it, Iris. Mother loved control. And now her mate is here. Do you think she is going to sit silently and let him move on from her?" she pressed.
"No. We have to stay vigilant and be prepared for what they are going to do next. You have not pondered who James was speaking with that day on the phone. Who is suspected of giving information to our mother?" she added.
"So take a break today. Enjoy your meal and your relationship. Then get serious," she whispered, her words carrying quiet wisdom and startling me with how far her thoughts reached.
