Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 38 It Was Her
Elijah, seated in a chair clad in a white bathrobe, tapped his fingers on the iPad in front of him as he accessed the website to peruse information about the North.
On the official North Korean website, the latest headlines revolved around the union of the North and South. Elijah’s fingers scrolled up and down the iPad’s screen until, finally, he came across a photo of the bride and groom together.
His eyes were glued to the image on the screen, and he immediately recognized the groom as AlphaKlaus of the North, his nemesis. But the bride from the South...
Elijah stared intently at the bride’s face, noting her blue eyes, as pure as the sky. He had seen those stunning eyes before, unlike any other in the world.
Dusty memories, akin to dusty diaries, were finally unearthed after many years. Elijah leaned back in his chair, his eyes half-closed, as the old memories resurfaced.
When Elijah was sixteen, he was dispatched by his father on an assassination mission to the South. Back then, he was inexperienced and arrogant, unaware of the challenges and intricacies of the task. He recalled that night, when the moonlight shone like silver beneath the roofline of the mountains, casting a long shadow of him.
Things did not go as planned. As he approached his target, he was spotted by the opposing party. After a fierce confrontation, he not only failed to complete his mission but was severely injured. He recalled the pain, which felt like a raging fire in his veins, and every breath was a monumental effort.
Wounded, he dragged his weary body and fled all the way to a border town to the south, where there was a covert point of contact with the West. He trudged through the dark forest, the agony of his wounds and the exhaustion of his body gradually dimming his consciousness, until finally, he could no longer stand and collapsed.
When he regained consciousness, the innocent face of a girl came into focus. He didn’t recall her name, he didn’t remember what she said, but those stunning blue eyes were etched in his memory. They were as clear as the sky, filled with warmth and empathy.
The girl nursed him meticulously, applying herbs to his wounds, and stayed by his side through the darkest of nights.
As Elijah’s wounds slowly began to heal, he was discovered by the man who had been overseeing his care. So, he quietly left while the girl was absent, and he never laid eyes on her again.
But those beautiful blue eyes remained forever etched in his heart.
"It turns out that she is the bride of the South," Elijah said to himself, "Why her?"
Elijah pondered the two hints given by the "Dark God" once again: the flame and the bride from the south. What on earth does that mean?
He thought of the woman who had suddenly appeared on the battlefield and distracted Klaus. Could this Southern bride be Klaus’s weakness, like the woman he once was?
Before Elijah could uncover what the dark god really intended, he refrained from jumping to conclusions. Perhaps he should have waited. He was certain that the wizard would provide him with more information shortly.
"What are you looking at?"
Elijah’s thoughts were interrupted by a woman’s voice, and he closed his iPad, his eyes flashing with annoyance. He didn’t look up at her until the woman had stepped up to him.
"Why haven’t you slept yet, Haley?"
"I’m waiting for you," Hayley smiled seductively at Elijah, her toned body visible beneath her sheer nightgown.
"Is something bothering you?"
Haley pressed her body into the space between Elijah and the desk, her bottom resting on Elijah’s lap.
"Tell me, what is it that’s keeping you from sleeping?" Hayley’s hand brushed through the collar of Elijah’s bathrobe, and her fingers gently grazed Elijah’s muscular chest.
"It’s the god of darkness," Elijah replied, his hand resting on Haley’s waist. "Green said the god of darkness gave me two clues on how to kill Alpha Klaus."
Haley couldn’t help but frown when she heard about the Dark Wizard, whom she despised just as much as the priests.
"You’ve got the throne, and there’s nothing to be satisfied with?"
"But I haven’t been able to kill Alpha Klaus yet," Elijah reluctantly said. "And I’m not just going to be the king of the West, I want the whole continent."
"I can help you," Haley said, taking Elijah’s hand and placing it over her heart. "You know I’m more loyal to you than anyone else."
"I know everything you’ve done for me," Elijah said, stroking Haley’s long, jet-black hair as he gazed into her eyes.
Haley is the closest thing he has to a woman and his right-hand person. In his quest for royal power, she had given him her wisdom and strength.
She held no lower place in his heart than Green, but she was always trying to compare herself to the wizard, and sometimes Elijah was so disgusted with her childish ways that he didn’t tell her the secret of commanding the undead legion.
"I keep Green because he’s still useful to me," Elijah said.
"I don’t know why you trust that wizard so much. He was once imprisoned in a dungeon by his father, which means his father didn’t trust him either," Haley said, her tone full of disdain.
"But he saved me. And he’s done a lot for me," Elijah replied.
"Maybe he did it for some other purpose," Haley insisted.
"Enough, let’s stop talking about him," Elijah said unhappily. "I don’t want you questioning any of my decisions."
Haley sensed Elijah’s anger and fell silent. She slipped off Elijah’s lap, then knelt between his legs as she reached under his bathrobe.
She grasped Elijah’s cock in her hand and looked at him with a flirtatious, wistful expression.
As her hand moved up and down Elijah’s cock, a wave of pleasure surged through him. Elijah took a deep breath, and a thought crossed his mind.
"I want you to do something for me," Elijah said, taking Haley by the chin with his silver hand.
"I am willing to do anything for you, including giving my life," Hayley looked affectionately at the man before her, speaking from the bottom of her heart.
"I want you to spy on a woman."
"Who?"
"The bride of Alpha Klaus. I want you to find a way to get close to her and observe her every move."
"Yes, my king." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Hayley stood up, slowly removing her pajamas, and looked at Elijah with intense eyes. "Can you give me a little reward before I do that for you?"
Hayley’s intentions were clear, and that’s how they’d always conducted their business with each other.
The corners of Elijah’s mouth curved upward as he carried Hayley to the table, where the papers and iPad were swept to the floor with a loud crash.
Without any preamble, he unfastened his bathrobe and, parting Hayley’s legs, entered her directly.
He wrapped one hand around her waist and the other around her neck, watching as the expression on her face shifted from one of pain to one of pure pleasure.
"Yes, Elijah, give me more." Hayley screamed, gripping the edge of the table with both hands.
The table shook violently, and Elijah responded with even more forceful thrusts. As she reached her climax, he withdrew from her body.
Elijah strode directly into the bathroom, and as the cold water cascaded over him, the young girl’s face flashed back into his mind.
Emily, he recalled her name.
