Alpha's Secret Bride-Chapter 65: The High Throne Revelation Under the Silver Moon
She opened her eyes on the seventh moon cycle morning with positive enthusiasm. The last moon cycle was full of happiness and adventure and she believed this new moon would be the best.
She looked at her mate who was sleeping peacefully beside her and moved closer to him and crouched on his wolf. The warmth of his soft wolf was intoxicating. He took a deep breath, accommodated her, and continued sleeping as though his peace was just restored.
She was surprised they left the viewing screen on and slept off. The last thing she remembered was leaning on her mate’s wolf as they waited for Lunara’s show. The program starts at 8:00 pm every Saturday. As of 10:00 pm, they were still waiting and she didn’t know when she dozed off.
She grabbed the remote and switched the viewing screen off, wondering if the program later showed when she slept off.
She fixed her gaze on her mate and a spurt of hungry desire to be one with him spiraled through her and her wolf began to ache for his lovemaking. She slowly turned her back to control the burning desire that had engulfed her weak wolf. He slid his hands on her waist and pulled her closer again. She could feel his hot breath on her back. He obviously did not know what she was passing through. She couldn’t tell him because she wanted him to enjoy his peaceful sleep.
She kept staring at the crystal lake that could be seen clearly through his chamber window and the magical lights that surrounded it as she wondered what meeting with her father-in-law would be like. Her nervousness kept increasing as the morning unrolled.
She shivered when she felt his cold lips on her neck. He slowly turned her around to face him.
"Moonrise Brandon," she whimpered. He kept quiet and continued staring at her, supporting his head with his elbow. She moved closer and hid her face in his chest. He slid his fingers into her hair and fondled her.
"What is it?"
"I’m nervous"
"Why?"
"I don’t know."
"Don’t be afraid of my father. Use both the power you have and the one I gave you without fear. Just don’t harm him," he grinned and continued fondling her hair. "You have the source of your strength with you, do not be intimidated by anyone."
His words boosted her courage and she felt she could move mountains. Even his fake mate did not seem like a threat to her anymore.
"When are we leaving?"
"That’s my brave lovely moonblessed," he grinned. "We will leave by 3:00 pm." He moved his lips down and patted hers slowly. She hesitated because none of them had brushed yet. She didn’t mind swallowing all his drool. Everything about him is perfect but she was worried about him taking hers. She relaxed after a failed protest and enjoyed the sweetness of his morning kiss. It was one of the longest kisses they have ever had. She felt euphoric and her courage surged tremendously. His heart kept whispering to her. They became fully aroused. She took a quick gasp and her breath surrendered an involuntary moan when his hands began to roam intimately over her curves. She held his cheek and smooch him with hunger and fire that engulfed her. Her wolf writhed beneath him, inviting him to come in at once, no time for foreplay. He sent a lasting kiss first and then came slowly on her. They transitioned into a gift-wrapped position. She wrapped her legs and hands around him. She could feel his girth going deeper in her. It was as though a warm honey was poured into their souls. His tempo was just perfect for them and they kept gasping in sweet harmony.
"You...tore... my... soul...apart, sweetie. You have killed me," he sputtered, fading his left eye. They kept looking into each other’s eyes as they mesmerized themselves with the fulfillment of morning lovemaking.
It was 3:00 pm already and she was very excited. They are going to travel in their private jet and this time no amount of wasted time would make him travel without her.
The make-up artist took her time and gave her the most perfect look. She stood up and checked herself in the mirror, everything about her breathed perfection.
She stepped out with her servants and headed towards the elevator. The sight of ten armed guards in military uniforms could not scare her. Brandon tossed his cigar aside and offered her his right hand. They walked slowly towards the helipad. He guided her to the mobile stepladder. She climbed carefully, avoiding stepping on her flowing gown. She turned and saw him staring at her with a smile. She smiled back at him and he began to climb up.
She was taken aback by the first-class-type seats, a conference table with couch seating, and a full stand-up height cabin.
Three pretty sophisticated she-wolves she saw on the last moon-cycle welcomed her with smiles. Three of them had similar tags. She was surprised that the she-wolves were actually hired crews and not Brandon’s she-wolves. She couldn’t believe she missed the business function because of them.
They took their positions and the pilot flew the aircraft. There were high-end wines stocked on board. The wines were just perfect for the altitude. However, champagne remains the perfect choice for her. Brandon did not say anything to her. He kept smiling at her as she drank her wine slowly.
The aircraft landed before she could even finish a glass of wine she was holding and she was surprised. She dropped the wine and stood up immediately. Her heart was beating very fast. Brandon urged her to relax and finish up. The few minutes she spent in the aircraft helped her to relax. She took a deep breath when he stood up and offered her his right hand. She stared up at him; his encouraging stare boosted her courage. She took his hand and they began to disembark. She dropped her feet gently on the beautifully manicured ground as though she was going to ruin the grass if she wasn’t careful enough.
Brandon held her hand and they began to head north.
"You never told me we were going to stop over at the High den," she whimpered, looking around like a freshwolf. He did not say anything to her. The he-wolves in military uniforms kept walking behind them until they got to a big hall.
About ten high den she-wolves bowed immediately as they walked into the big courtyard. She noticed two she-wolves that were standing in the middle of the courtyard did not bow. One kept smiling at her.
She was very surprised and her heart was thudding crazily, so she didn’t smile back.
She was quite naive but she knew something was going on. She regretted ever embarrassing Brandon the way she did three years ago, which made him stop explaining things to her. She would have loved to know what was going on.
She identified the she-wolves when they walked closer to them. One of them was her moonally and savior, Moon Princess Elara, and the other was her sibling, Lunara Greens.
Lunara did not look at her. Probably, her makeup made her look unrecognizable or she was not expecting to see her. She noticed she looked pale and her eyes were puffy as though she cried all through the night.
Brandon let go of her hand and kissed Princess Elara on her forehead.
"Hi, moonpup." The moon Princess grinned.
"Hi, sibling," he kissed Lunara on her forehead too, and Emma frowned. "I got your message a long time ago, but she delayed my reply," Brandon said, pointing at her. Lunara did not even look in the direction he was pointing. She understood she was trying to avoid her eyes, not that she didn’t recognize her. Brandon beckoned Emma to come with him, but she hesitated. She did not understand what was going on again.
"Hi, Emma," Moon Princess Elara grinned and hugged her. "Are you surprised?" She asked. She nodded, with her eyes fixed on Brandon who was heading to where she did not know and Lunara held his hand tight and kept talking and demonstrating. She was obviously pleading or asking for a favor from him.
"You can’t send someone to get a master’s degree on a path he detested so much only to welcome him back to the pack with a mating date. He is a full-grown he-wolf and should be allowed to follow his heart. He missed the opportunity of being a Soulcrafter and he can’t miss this." Elara said.
"I don’t understand. What is going on? Why did he call Lunara a sibling?" She asked. The Princess burst into laughter.
"He calls her my sibling and I call her his sibling."
"Why?"
"It’s a long story, Emma."
"What happened?"
"Your pack-kins invited the Moon Prince for dinner ten years ago and he turned them down. They kept bothering him. One day, he decided to invite them instead. The Alpha King saw Lunara and liked her beauty. He asked her to make just one request and it would be granted. She asked to be my sibling, which automatically made her the Prince’s sibling too. The King granted her request.
When Lunara began to move everything in another direction, the High Luna and the Alpha King supported her, but the Prince stood on the initial agreement - sibling!"
"So why is she begging my mate to convince the moon Prince."
"Oh my moon goddess!! He did not tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
"Let’s have a walk in the garden," Princess Elara said when she began to walk towards Brandon’s picture that hung on the wall.
"Hold on!" she waved at her. Her eyes were blinking rapidly and her heart was beating crazily as she moved closer to the picture.
