Am I a Healer? You'd Better Think So!-Chapter 50: Enemies Arrived
Chapter 50 - Enemies Arrived
Darian and everyone else turned their eyes to Nayara, waiting for her decision. The plan seemed solid, but there was something Darian hadn't considered too deeply.
"The situation isn't that simple," Nayara said seriously. "Raon bringing the core of the supreme artifact is something no one from Earth would believe possible. His father doesn't have that kind of power."
Leander nodded. "Indeed, there's something hidden in this mission—something big enough for the Red River Pact clan to burn such an important resource."
"Could the Empire have hidden information about the mission?" Darian asked, narrowing his eyes.
"No," Leander replied without hesitation. "My mother and brother read the full mission on the missionary altar. This is definitely information that wasn't written down directly—something only important people with secret knowledge would know."
Nayara scoffed. "My clan found out ahead of time that the Red River Pact clan was taking this mission very seriously. But we had no idea it was to this extent. We only knew that Raon might do something strange... which is why I brought this."

She then revealed a small cylindrical artifact, just a few centimeters long, completely gray. Leander recognized it. His mother had helped Nayara obtain it before the mission.
"This is the chaos artifact, or rather, the copying artifact. It's extremely rare. In short, it can copy data and information from certain specific artifacts," Nayara explained, locking eyes with Darian. "The plan was always to keep Raon under surveillance. If he did anything wrong or suspicious, we'd copy all the images from our group's crystal. That way, even if his clan tried to hide the truth, we could release the footage and force the Empire to take a stance."
The Empire couldn't outright forbid such an action. After all, if nothing suspicious had happened, there would be no reason to hide the truth. Plus, given how rare the artifact was, its use would be controlled, preventing the situation from becoming chaotic.
Darian's eyes gleamed as he listened, but he quickly took a deep breath. Not knowing what awaited them made everything even more tense. If Raon had brought something that powerful, it meant there was a huge problem ahead... and possibly a huge opportunity.
Darian thought carefully. With his white power, his allies weren't limited to the ten-day deadline to complete the mission. They wouldn't lose strength over time due to the law's poison.
But all the white and black power he had came only from the underworld people who attacked his brothers. He didn't have much white power left, and worse—he had already spent over 90% of the little black power he had against Raon.
In other words, they couldn't investigate thoroughly until they were sure of everything. And killing a few people here and there to gather more power would create a gap, allowing the enemy to realize something was lurking in the shadows. They'd lose the element of surprise.
"Sorry, but my purification power is too costly. We don't even know where to start looking for this secret, and we might not find it in time. I believe attacking now is the best option—it ensures we catch them off guard," Darian said, pulling out his group crystal.
"I think you should copy the images from mine. Raon's death was... kinda uplifting." He smirked. "When we get back to Earth, his clan is definitely going to lose their minds over what happened. So, we can spread the footage. The people who hate that clan and Raon will help keep them from retaliating against us."
Nayara didn't hesitate. She activated her artifact, connecting it to Darian's crystal. A faint gray light flowed between the two. The process took a minute, then everything faded.
She closed her eyes as she viewed the images...
And suddenly snapped them open, stunned.
"What the hell... why are there cuts in the footage?"
Darian gave her an innocent look. "Not sure..."
He explained, somewhat unconvincingly, that Raon had activated something and that the law of this universe reacted, rising from the ground. He felt like it affected him, but he managed to purify himself with his power. However, Raon was completely consumed.
Everyone quickly gathered around, focusing on the footage in Nayara's hands. Then, they saw the missing frames—followed by Raon in such a miserable state that a chill ran down their spines.
He died slowly, in an unbelievably agonizing way. Even his final moments were bizarre and brutal. He just exploded, like some evil demon had been behind all of this, toying with him sadistically.
"Another problem..." Leander muttered, his expression tense. "We don't even know what caused this. Maybe using that core could trigger the same reaction in us?"
"Don't worry too much. If it happens, I can still purify us one more time," Darian replied quickly. "Either way, this will be our trump card when we return to Earth. Right now, we need to deal with what's in front of us. Leader, what's your decision?"
Everyone turned to Nayara.
She took a deep breath, then looked at Darian.
"There's no safe option... but you seem to attract good results. We'll attack, just like you suggested."
Darian and the others nodded. Then, they turned toward the four sealed figures in the distance, their gazes filled with cold determination.

Inside a massive violet castle, on the highest floor, there was a colossal room with countless open windows.
The entire space was wrapped in a dense violet shroud, and through the windows, more and more of that law was being drawn into the room.
The only sound was a deep breathing, pulling that law inside at a terrifying speed.
At the center of the room, a single figure floated.
The creature was a living shadow, a humanoid over five meters tall. Its torso was covered in a black, uneven carapace, like a deformed armor pulsing with a violet glow. Its head had twisted horns, and where its eyes should have been, only a menacing violet glow burned, exuding a malevolent presence.
Then, suddenly, it stopped. And in an instant, a violent tremor spread across the entire planet.
"What?" A low growl escaped its mouth.
It took minutes for the tremor to fade.
In the end, it let out a malicious laugh. "The Heaven's Will finally sent my meal... excellent."
It snorted and floated out through the windows.
All around the castle, thousands of figures emerged from every direction, their eyes turning upward.
"Divine one!"
Shouts echoed among them.
The creature spread its arms, and instantly, the shroud covering the planet trembled.
In thousands of cities scattered across the world, massive statues carved in its image began to shake. Their eyes lit up, emanating an intense energy.
"The enemies have arrived. The war has begun. Go forth and fight."
A booming voice, dripping with malice, reverberated through every living thing on that planet. Their eyes shone with an intense violet glow—billions of beings of all sizes and races.
Then, a frenzied roar erupted from their lungs.
Their minds were completely taken over. Any trace of free will was erased. Immediately, they drew their weapons and charged forward, all converging in one direction.
Meanwhile, the shadowy creature moved through the skies, followed by a colossal army of winged beings.
Within minutes, they reached a barren region.
It was empty—no sign of any invaders. But with a simple gesture, a bloody aura erupted from five different spots nearby.
Chunks of flesh and remains began to surface. It was red blood and pure flesh, almost completely devoid of law power. This kind of matter simply didn't exist in that universe...
They were indeed invaders. But... had they killed themselves?
Suddenly, the creature turned sharply toward a specific direction.
Its eyes pulsed like violet beacons.
Then, it saw something—far, far away.
A pair of red eyes, belonging to a small figure, whose body was covered in something black.
Those eyes stared back at it, a clear mockery hidden in them.
And then—
**BOOOM!!**
An explosion shook the skies, unleashing an apocalyptic shockwave that spread across the entire planet.
At the same time, the entire violet shroud was wiped away, replaced by a monstrous, poisonous green mushroom cloud.
The creature's eyes widened as it twisted through the sky, sent flying before it finally stopped. It was unharmed, but...
A rain of bodies and violet blood plummeted to the ground.
Millions were wiped out in an instant.
It turned back to where those red eyes had been... but there was nothing.
A deep, burning rage erupted inside it.

Hours passed.
All over the planet, lifeforms were in a frenzy, moving in massive armies toward different locations.
Half a dozen explosions had already gone off, and the death toll was immeasurable. Now, though, the armies were being reorganized into hunting groups, moving strategically.
Inside the main castle—more precisely, beneath it—Darian, Leander, and a third man were moving stealthily.
That man was Eric, a member of Nayara's group. He had a concealment blessing, similar to Raon's Eclipse Blessing. The difference was that he became 'only' completely invisible to sight, senses, and sound. On top of that, he could share the effect with allies.
As soon as they arrived, Leander activated his blessing along with an Earth artifact. Since his power was connected to the laws of the Earth, he could use it to sense the underground.
When he detected something hidden below, they started searching for an entrance inside the castle.
Once they found it, they began descending.
'The target returned to the castle.'
A mental message from Nayara reached them. They didn't slow down—if anything, they sped up.
They rushed down staircases, deep into the underground.
Until they stopped in front of a massive black metal door, nearly ten meters tall.
They didn't dare open it.
Leander pulled out another small artifact and activated it with his blessing. Combining the artifact with his power over the earth, he was able to sense what was beyond that barrier.
He focused, and after a few seconds, he muttered in confusion:
'It's completely empty. There's only a small altar in the center. On top of it... there's a book... On the cover, I see two runic marks—one glowing white, the other black.'
The moment Darian heard that, his eyes widened in disbelief.
