Ancient Tears BloodLine-Chapter 1426: Dangerous camp!
Warrior Camp No. 5
We started walking towards the office. On the way, my eyes observed the surroundings.
There were no stone houses or brick buildings; instead, there were makeshift tents here.
A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. The whole land was a place filled with rich vegetation. I could feel the rich energy in the environment.
The energy was dense and pure. It was better than the environment on the campus. It was an ideal place to heal and recover from battle.
No wonder this place was selected as a warrior camp.
I didn’t know where they were located right now.
By then, we had arrived in front of a large camp made of wood. Munro led me inside. There was a person with a lean physique sitting behind a desk.
He is the Supervisor here. His name is Kenny. He is a middle-aged man with curly black hair that reaches down to his shoulders.
His skin tone is fair with black eyes. He raised his head and looked into the kid.
His gaze fell on Zack Lockwood. He had already received a report from Dean Jerome. He knew what to do.
"You are Zack Lockwood, right?" he said.
"Yes, it’s me," I replied.
"Good. You are assigned here. Warrior Camp 5 is one of the dangerous camps. There are 100 Gold Mark Warriors and 200 Silver Mark Warriors here."
"We don’t have reserve warriors. After a warrior’s demise, we ask for the next batch to come. You are now the 200th warrior," Kenny said in a calm tone.
My eyes flickered with understanding.
"I understand," I replied.
"You don’t have to hide your strength. Dean Jerome wants you to do well here so that other warriors can be stimulated," Kenny said.
He then asked Munro to take Zack Lockwood to the makeshift camp. We walked out of the wooden building.
My heart was stirred. The population of the camp was lower than I had expected, but all of them were strong warriors from different universities.
Last time, I faced people from the Giant Tower and the Blood Moon University. I didn’t know which other universities had sent their warriors here.
Munro didn’t speak much. Soon, we arrived in front of the new makeshift camp. There was a sign for "200th" outside.
"The rules are the same as previous camps. If you hear the alarm, then you should follow the crowd to enter the teleportation platform."
"Once the battle is over, you can leave," Munro said.
He then thought of something before adding, "No matter what, internal fighting is banned here. If you find yourself in such situations, try to avoid the conflict."
Munro then gave me the key. The makeshift camp had a metal door for protection and privacy. I accepted the key and thanked him for his advice.
Munro then left the place. Once he was gone, I used the key to open the door. I went inside and shut the door immediately.
"Phew!"
I heaved a sigh of relief. Since I had come here, I needed to make better use of the opportunities. My mental power immediately scanned the place. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
There were no hidden dangers here. The place was compact. The living room was small, with a basic wooden table and chair.
There was a single sofa to lie down on. There were windows on both sides, but they were closed right now.
My gaze fell on three rooms. The first was the bedroom, the second was the bathroom, and the third could be the practice room.
It was my guess. I decided to go and check. I entered the first room. My gaze fell on the space.
A basic single bed with a table and chair nearby, it was basic furnishings. Then I walked out and went to check the third room.
The third room was different from the others. It was not just a room, but a chamber. I had thought it was a practice room.
But the essence chamber was even better. I could practice all of my methods here. I could advance my progress further to the Gold Mark Level.
After taking one more round of the place, I sat down on the sofa in the living room. I had successfully arrived. It would only be a matter of time before everyone learned about me.
My runes are close to reaching the level of Gold Mark Rank. I should use the opportunity in the camp to become a Gold Mark Warrior.
Meanwhile, the warriors were in their own makeshift camps. Some of them were using the chambers to increase their strength. Others were simply resting in their rooms to recover from their injuries.
Supervisor Kenny and Munro were in their office rooms. The next battle could occur at any time, so Kenny was careful.
He was checking the stocks. The warriors here were all talented, so the stocks contained many healing treasures. It didn’t take long for him to confirm the high number of healing treasures.
After doing that, he thought of the upcoming battle. Since Zack Lockwood was going to make an appearance, the warriors from other universities were going to learn the news as well.
Dean Jerome had given him other instructions. He wanted to find the spies planted by enemies. He was sure that someone would target Zack Lockwood.
His eyebrows furrowed. He didn’t know who would make the move. Among the universities here, the warriors of Dark Shadow University and Silver Academy were hostile toward Star University.
Especially the warriors of Dark Shadow University, they were the most hostile.
He decided to pay close attention to the warriors of Dark Shadow University.
That evening, Assistant Munro’s activities were suspicious. He walked along the stone path for patrol.
He was observing the makeshift camps along the way. It didn’t take long for him to reach the last camp, makeshift camp No. 200.
Munro’s expression changed all of a sudden. His eyes flashed with killing intent. He quickly concealed it.
His face returned to normal. He then made a decision to follow the orders of his higher-ups. Munro was one of those planted spies.
He was a Gold Mark Warrior. He had not received orders in years, yet the appearance of Zack Lockwood had changed everything.
Now that he had received the order to eliminate Zack Lockwood, he decided to perform a sneak attack to kill him.
