Angel Monarch-Chapter 526: No Tomorrow
Sera and Bea continued discussing the underground clubs with the barkeep for about half an hour.
Afterward, Sera flicked a silver coin to the barkeep. He nearly fainted upon glancing at the coin, and while the women left, all the customers gathered around to gleam at the Divine Metal.
They walked away from the tavern and stopped to discuss their final destination. The barkeep gave them four suggestions for the best clubs in Asgard, but it wasn't easy to decide.
"How about Fairy Dust? He said it's luxurious, the music is elevated and the people aren't too wild." Suggested Sera while they continued walking along the road.
"Hmm... I don't know... It might be full of weirdos or annoying rich people. Also, he said it's a masquerade club, meaning we would need to wear masks... It wouldn't be as fun to watch a mask instead of your cute face!"
Sera giggled and reached over Bea's shoulder, pulling her into a side hug. The magnificent woman's expression blushed a little, but her hand also passed down Sera's back as Bea held her waist.
"What about the Feral Zone? It's supposedly the most popular club, so it must be great!"
Bea shook her head with a light chuckle...
"It's called Feral Zone. I doubt it's great. Either way, it's outside the castle's jurisdiction, and the barkeep also said to avoid it because of the fights. Also, I hate techno!"
"Fine then. The last two choices are Dancing Lights and No Tomorrow. I veto Dancing Lights because of their weird DJ... Who the hell thought it's a good idea to hire someone who can control gravity and not expect the hundreds of drunks to vomit all over the floor!"
A shiver ran down Bea's spine just from hearing Sera's words. Even the barkeep felt confused and disgusted while explaining the details. He couldn't comprehend why so many people frequented that club.
"No Tomorrow then?" asked Bea as they took a turn and entered a much more crowded street.
"Yeah, but maybe we should just abandon the clubbing idea. The barkeep couldn't give us an accurate description, because supposedly it had opened less than a week ago... However, it has tight security and a giant line before the entrance..."
Just as Sera said those words, they reached a mass of people, their destination. At least a thousand people waited in the few hundred meter long snaking line.
Bea became silent as she gazed upon the long line. She didn't seem to lose faith, though. Instead, a cunning grin stretched across her succulent blood-red lips as she glanced over Sera's body.
"No need to panic, Lady Seraphine! I figured out the perfect solution to our predicament!"
She grabbed Sera's golden petal dress, and a moment later, the Angel felt the clothing covering her body lessen.
"I probably won't like this idea. Am I correct?" she asked as Bea continued controlling the clothing, shaping it from its long, flowing form, which reached Sera's ankle, to something... hotter and more revealing...
"I don't think so. In fact, you'll love every bit of it!"
...
A wide gateway, with about a dozen bouncers, served as the No Tomorrow's entrance. That's where the long line began. When some guests left the club, the bouncers would let more customers inside, since only a couple hundred people are allowed in simultaneously.
Everyone in the front had already waited hours to get inside, and they especially hated those who tried cutting the line. The bouncers were also strict, only letting people in who waited their turn.
However, everything changed when the flap of wings echoed through the air. The clubgoers and bouncers all glanced at the sky, where an unnaturally divine and irresistible creature gracefully floated toward the ground.
Her pristine white wings glowed, bringing even more attention to her approach. The woman's face mesmerized everyone, so people only noticed the enticing clothes after she landed.
A golden short dress made of flower petals. It had no straps at the shoulder, but it stuck so close to her body, it had no chance of falling off.
The dress barely reached the woman's mid-thigh, while it revealed a deep cleavage and part of her upper abdomen. Her sides had no actual clothing, and only a few leather straps connected the fabric's front and back.
It didn't reveal any inappropriate parts, though, which spoke volumes about the magnificent craftsmanship.
After landing, another woman appeared beside the first. She wasn't as perfect and divine, but her own bewitching beauty was undeniable.
She wore an even more daring blood-red petal dress. Her deep cleavage nearly revealed her entire chest, while only two flaps of fabric hid her private parts. The thighs and part of her well-defined abs remained visible.
The first woman's skin was pale, which somehow elevated her perfect facial structure, as with the scar running along her face. The other's skin was well tanned and carried a greenish hue, which filled the air with the fragrance of flowers.
Neither woman wore makeup. Bea tried putting some on Sera's face, but that only worsened her natural beauty. She could also control her body's color, so Bea changed her own lips to blood-red to match her dress.
They reveled in everyone's awe for a few seconds before moving towards the bouncers. All twelve glanced at each other, unsure what to do next. However, before they could've done anything, the gates suddenly opened, and an elegantly dressed Elf stepped outside.
"You must be Lady Seraphine and Lady Bea! My master already expected your visit! Our establishment only lets a limited number of people in at once, but since you're extremely special honored guests, we'll make an exception."
The twelve bouncers stood straight as the elegant Elf smiled and let both women inside. The gate soon closed, and the street's noise disappeared at once.
Three pairs of high-heeled shoes echoed through the barely lit corridor. Sera and Bea glanced around with curious eyes while keeping watch on the Elf lady.
Just from her steps and hip movement, they easily judged her to be a great fighter who uses either two-handed swords or polearms. However, since most of Asgard's population was at least a Transcended warrior, they didn't act surprised by the elegant woman's fighting capability.
She led the pair in silence down a deep staircase. With each step, the club's music became louder. The booming sound reverberated through Sera and Bea's bodies, enticing them to dance to its exotic rhythm.
Soon they reached the entrance, where the elegant Elf bid them a silent farewell. Not that either woman noticed, as they gazed across the club in awe.
They stood above the main dance floor on a large balcony. Near them, a long bar with dozens of bartenders served hundreds of guests, while below a few hundred more guests danced, shouted and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Strong, laser-like colored lights moved across the glowing dance floor. The DJ stood atop a floating platform, where she controlled the music expertly.
Sera and Bea stood at the edge of the balcony until the song ended and a new one began. Their eyes still gleamed with awe and excitement. They wanted to join the dancing, but that's when a horrible idea popped into Sera's head.
"Should we drink something first? It might make the party more fun!" she said to Bea with her mind, since shouting over the music wasn't possible.
The magnificent woman shrugged with a smirk, her eyes lingering on Sera's chest. The Angel gave a smack to the back of Bea's head, then pushed her towards the bar... and she didn't check Bea's butt, while enjoying the mesmerizing rhythm of her swaying, naked waist...
Upon reaching the bar, the music somehow became much less loud, as if they entered a noise-canceling bubble. An Elf bartender soon appeared before the pair, with a fake smile.
His eyes kept jumping to Sera's wings as a bead of sweat made its way down his face. He tried keeping his professionalism, but the man was clearly stressed.
"Uhh... What can I get for the... L-ladies?" he asked in a trembling voice.
The women's eyes moved down the list behind the bartender. The Elf began sweating more profusely as Bea started dying of laughter, while Sera slammed the bark in outrage. The expansive metal surface cracked and bent under her power, not that she cared.
"Angel Spit! Really?! Could you be any more racist?" the Angel shouted in faked anger, which nobody other than Bea realized.
"I-it's... It's supposed to carry a double meaning..." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Before the meek Elf bartender could've continued, Bea interrupted.
"I'll order two Angel Spit! One for me and another for my beautiful date!"
The bartender quickly scrambled away to make their drinks, while Sera harrumphed. However, even she couldn't hide the joyful smirk spreading across her lips. Just being called Bea's date pushed away any clouds souring her mood.
It took him less than a minute to make the drinks. He brought out two small glasses full of a whitish-gold liquid.
Sera lifted her glass with a doubtful expression. She clinked her glass with Bea's, then chugged down the drink.
"Huh... This tastes amazing!" she exclaimed, while Bea nodded in agreement.
The Elf bartender breathed a deep sigh of relief, and he soon explained...
"The drink isn't actually racist. Its name has a double meaning... Even an Angel's spit tastes amazing!"
"Well, I won't disagree, but it didn't really hit, so could we get a few more shots?"
This time, the bartender chuckled. Bea and Sera glanced at each other, confused... That's when the room began spinning and the colors became blurred...
Somewhere far away, the Elf's voice reached both women's ears...
"There's also another meaning behind the drink's name... Even an Angel's spit is powerful!... Enjoy your night, Lady Angel. It's going to be a wild one!"
Oh, how right he was...
