Apocalypse: Reborn with a Soul Sync Farming Space System-Chapter 60 Share it Here and Now
Silence stretched across the room, as they were more than stunned hearing his outburst, no, hearing his words.
Did he just say they no longer have money? Were they bankrupt? Bankrupt?!
Their thoughts were their greatest fear. How could a tycoon’s family suddenly go bankrupt? Was that even possible? And if it was possible, there must still be some money stock away. And what about their lands and properties?
Vera tugged at her hair, pacing to and fro. Her mind was unable to comprehend the fact that she was no longer going to live the luxurious life she had grown up in.
Jade felt her world shattered. If the Wayne family was bankrupt, she no longer saw any reason to stay there, maybe it was time for her to go to her father’s home.
Felicia blinked, unable to believe her ears. Her shoulder slumped in disbelief.
Meanwhile, Ronan glared at his brother. There were a lot of things he could joke about, but being bankrupt and broke was not one of them.
"You are joking right?!" Ronan suddenly lost his cool.
Alexander held his gaze, without blinking. "No, I never joke."
Of course, his stoic brother never jokes, he didn’t even have the humor to crack one.
"How could we not know about this for so long? It’s not like we went bankrupt this morning." Jade finally found her voice.
"What about the lands and the properties? And even if we go bankrupt, we should still have some funds right?" Felicia asked, her eyes staring at Alexander with desperation.
If the Wayne family doesn’t have money... then she would have to go back to her husband... that a**hole of a husband. She would rather live a poor life than go back to that hellhole.
Alexander sighed. He understood their fear, they were all pampered and lavished with money. "There is still enough money to get us by for the next couple of years."
"I say we share it here and now." Jade immediately chipped in. "We are all Waynes, we should take our shares, in that way we are responsible for ourselves and money." She added.
Vera turned to Jade with the speed of light. "Excuse you, the last time I checked you are from the Queer family, not Wayne. As long as the money is concerned you won’t get a dime, and if you must, it would be as a second family status, not first." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Jade’s eyes widened in disbelief, she couldn’t believe her so-called family was so quick to stab her in the back. "Vera! I’m also a Wayne, and I have the right to the money."
"No you don’t! If we give you the money, there wouldn’t be enough to sustain us." Vera added.
Ronan slapped his face at the bantering of the women. He turned to Alexander. "Can I get my share now?"
Alexander frowned at their selfishness. They had been together for as long as he could remember, and now that they believed the family was facing a crisis they all wanted out.
"You all want a share of the money? You are not even thinking of what to do to solve the problem?" His brows furrowed in disappointment.
Vera lowered her head, feeling a little bit guilty of being carried away. She didn’t want to live a poor life.
Felicia glanced at her family. "I’ll relocate with you, Mr. Wayne, as for my share you can keep it." She stepped forward, saying.
To her, she believed whatever life awaited her in the new place would be a hundred times better than her husband’s house.
Alexander gave her a curt nod.
Vera glanced at her two brothers. If she took the money now, she would risk getting on Alexander’s bad side. As long as she was together with Alexander, he would always find a way to satisfy her requests... that was better than living alone, not to mention the fact that she wasn’t good at doing business.
"I’ll go too." Vera raised her hand, without waiting for Alexander’s reply, she hurried upstairs to get ready.
Felicia followed after her, also running to her room to get ready and start packing all the valuable things she had.
Jade stared at their back with hidden frustration and anger. She turned to Alexander, if someone as vain as Vera agreed to go with him, and someone as shallow as Felicia also agreed. Perhaps there was a hidden fortune, and she wasn’t going to miss out on it.
"I’ll go get ready too."
Afraid Alexander might refuse her, she hurried upstairs.
Alexander’s frown deepened. Deep down he knew they must think he still had a lot of money... How could people be worse than a parasite?
Ronan stepped forward. "I want my shares."
Alexander arched one of his brows. "Are you sure about it? If I give you the money now, you are on your own, and the Wayne family owes you nothing." He warned sternly.
Ronan hesitated for a moment. "I want it." He replied coldly.
Alexander clicked his tongue in disbelief. However, he dipped his hand into his pocket and handed him a black card. "Here you go. Use it wisely."
Without batting an eye, Ronan immediately collected the card from him as if it might disappear if he hesitated for long.
"I’ll take my leave now," Ronan said.
"But it’s raining outside, and the water is hot." Alexander reminded him.
"It doesn’t matter, I’ll avoid it," Ronan replied, heading out the door.
"When the apocalypse comes, find us in the Ville Valley," Alexander yelled behind him.
But his words didn’t reach Ronan’s ear, who was so delighted by his newfound fortune. Now, he could please Camile, who was so mad at him.
Alexander shook his head, his younger brother was still as dumb as when they were little. Always opting for the choice he could see and not think long-term.
Alexander turned around, and headed back to his room, walking past the maids who were walking to and fro carrying the Waynes’ belongings.
