Apocalypse: Reborn with a Soul Sync Farming Space System-Chapter 74 Chaos Around the World
A couple of days had gone by before the blink of an eye. The world had finally plummeted into chaos, earthquakes occurring in different countries, releasing black mist into the air.
Many people had relocated to mountain areas, however, the volcanic eruption was another battle they had to face.
Newscasters wore oxygen masks in most of the other countries. "No one knows what these mists are, but it is very painful to the air and corrosive to the lungs, all citizens are advised to acquire an oxygen mask, and most of the water bodies have started to get contaminated by the black mist."
The reporter in country X turned around, waving her hand towards the ocean bodies as if to show what was happening. "Whales, sharks, dolphins, and all kinds of aquatic life are being washed up to the shoreline." She said, her expression unable because of the mask, however, her voice conveyed how serious the situation was.
When the camera zoomed in on the mammals, black mist oozed out of their lungs and eyes, which looked rotten.
Meanwhile, in country Z, a reporter stood closer to the lava which had erupted a couple of hours before, claiming lives and destroying villages, forests, and wildlife.
The lava had cooled into a black magma. "Country Z is currently facing its worst crisis this year. Many had turned to different kinds of gods believing that is their only way out. As you can see behind the black corrosive soot had contaminated the air. All citizens are advised to stay away from these areas ." He said with a nose mask covering his face. "And don’t leave your home without nose masks, the soot is not corrosive to the skin, but inhaling it will certaining prolonged illness and death." He said.
And another part of the world, a man with almond black eyes, opened his lifestream. He was in the woods, hiking. He kept on glancing behind his back as if something was stalking him.
"Guys, I don’t know what it is, but I suddenly have a strange feeling that something is following me. What do you think it will be? If it is a black bear I will suddenly survive..." He paused glancing behind his back, holding the camera up in a way the viewers would see what it was.
But there was nothing. He turned forward again and continued walking. "I heard a lot of crises have been happening around the world, but here in country C, it is perfectly safe, the air is clean, and the water bodies are clean too, there is no mist or whatsoever." He chuckled.
"I advise you all to come to country C and live your lives in the best possible way..."
He suddenly frowned when he read messages from his fans.
<I saw something strange behind your back!>
<Get out of there now!>
<I think I saw long black hands, and that is definitely not a bear!>
The smile on his face faltered as he read the messages, he stopped midway glancing behind him. He couldn’t see anything.
"I think you all are overreacting." He said, but his pace quickened.
<Run!>
Another message popped up on the lower part of his screen.
"Guys I think... Argh!" His cry tore through the air. The camera suddenly somersaulted to the ground.
The only visible thing was the trail of his body sweeping through the ground, leaving a trail of blood behind.
Some of the fans began leaving the live, crying as they knew it was to be a prank.
Others remained, telling him that the prank time was over and he should come out.
A blood-chilling roar tore through the forest from afar, and that was when they realized he really had been attacked by an unknown creature.
Back in Luxebridge city the hot rain had fallen for a couple of days, restricting movement.
Inside the president of the country’s office, chairs, books, lamps, tables and ceramics lay scattered across the floor.
A man with round big glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose, stood beside the door, shaking in fear.
"Mr... Mr... president, I’ll do my utmost best to find the Severance cult..." He stammered, his hands trembling so much that the documents he held trembled like leaves before the wind.
"Your best!" Mr. President barked. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the coward of a secretary. "I told you to infiltrate their base and bring me news... but what did you get?" He paused.
"Nothing!" His voice thundered across the room. The world was in chaos, and all his private businesses had suffered backlash. If he could get the Severance cult under his control would make him rise during the apocalypse.
Although many people didn’t believe the Severance cult words, he was a believer, he had been watching all the news circling around the world, and deep down he knew the world was ending.
Their people, who had managed to infiltrate the Severance cult camp, couldn’t be reached. It was like they had disappeared into thin air.
"I want you to find their base and the real leader of the cult, Beaver!" He yelled, his veins popping all over his throat. "And you have only three days!"
Beaver quickly lowered his head in acceptance. Beaver wasn’t his real name, but he was given the nickname because of his two large teeth in the front of his mouth.
"Yes... Mr. President." He stuttered before turning and walking out of the hellish room.
When he reached the corridor, he glanced down only to find his legs shaking and his pants... wet.
He closed his eyes, muttering prayers as he reached for the white cross necklace over his neck. His trembling hands caressed the necklace as if it were his easing medicine.
Slowly his hands stopped shaking, and he inhaled sharply, placing the necklace back into his shirt before fixing his glasses.
He walked down the hallway in awkward strides, as he tried the pants he had wetted out of fear.
...
Meanwhile back in the Vile Valley. Ling Xuan had made rules for those who were to live with them in the fortress.
