Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 410: Meeting Feng Tu Again
Chu Miao got out of the car and headed to the tenth floor of the building where Feng Tu’s family lived.
The building still had some residents. It looked like Monkey’s gang didn’t force people to stay. Those who wanted to stay could stay and those who wanted to go to the safe base could go.
Seeing that some lower floors such as the fifth floor had residents, Chu Miao wondered whether they were the original occupants or people who moved in later.
After all, the floods must have covered more than the fifth floor. These people couldn’t have been there when the building was submerged in water.
But this had nothing to do with Chu Miao, she was only there to see her friend.
When she got to the tenth floor, a door opened even before she could get to it. Feng Tu walked out looking like she had been expecting her. It seemed that she had seen her getting out of the car.
When she saw her friend, Feng Tu rushed over and hugged her tightly.
"I was thinking about coming to see you in the next two days. I didn’t expect you to come first.
Come in and have a seat." Feng Tu was smiling so much her molars could be seen.
When Chu Miao first saw her walk out of the door, she had not expected her to turn into that girl l who was her best friend and roommate.
That was simply because she had changed too much. Not just physically where she looked like a trained soldier with a lean body filled with tight muscles under her skin, but also her aura.
Feng Tu no longer looked like the shy girl who only dared to be friends with Chu Miao because she didn’t look down on her and because Chu Miao had first hidden her identity at school.
She didn’t know that she came from a rich family and by the time she found out, they were already close friends.
However, right now even though she still had that ordinary look from before, she didn’t look so shy and timid.
She also didn’t seem to feel inferior anymore like she did when they were at the University.
Chu Miao followed her friend into the house and found Feng Tu’s parents in the living room looking worried.
"Hello auntie, hello uncle." Chu Miao walked to the two elders and greeted them first before Feng Tu pulled her to another seat and the two sat down.
When the two elders saw that it was Chu Miao, the worry on their faces disappeared and they smiled like blooming flowers.
"Miaomiao, you’ve come to visit. You shouldn’t have come in person after all the help you have given our family. We should be the ones who went to say our thank you to you." Mother Feng said with a smile as she got up to go and make a cup of tea.
"What are you saying auntie? I am the younger generation, how could I expect elders like you to go find me just to say thank you?
Besides, I haven’t done much and Tutu is my friend, so there is no need for thank you between us.
How have you guys been?" Chu Miao didn’t want to start arguing with her friend’s parents about what she had done for them.
She hadn’t provided help for them so that they could thank her. All she had done was because her friend was more important than her.
Of course, Feng Tu’s parents also knew this and they knew that if they insisted on saying thank you, it would only alienate the two friends.
Since the children saw nothing wrong with it, then they wouldn’t say anything anymore.
"Uncle, what is bothering you? When I came in you looked worried." Chu Miao thought about the character of this family and knew that even if they had an issue, they wouldn’t bring it up with her for fear of burdening her.
Thus, she decided to ask. If it was something that could be shared, then they would share, if not, they could choose not to say anything.
"Miaomiao, don’t even bother. It’s those parasitic relatives who came to this building so that they could turn our family into their host.
They are like parasites who do nothing but expect to be taken care of. When they came, my parents were soft-hearted and even wanted them to live with us.
I knew that if they moved in here they will become a disaster, so I adamantly refused to let them move into our apartment.
Who knew, they found an empty apartment on the lower floors and moved in there.
But there isn’t much of a difference. They would come here several times a day to ask for supplies. They would ask for food, water, and even one of their daughters had the audacity to ask for skin care products." Feng Tu complained indignantly.
Those who don’t know would have thought that she had been wronged and had finally seen her parents and ran to complain about her grievances.
"And you just entertained them? Don’t they have hands and feet? Can’t they go and collect their own supplies?" Chu Miao was shocked by such behavior.
She would never entertain such behavior no matter who was behaving with so much entitlement.
"My parents are soft-hearted and gave them what they asked for at first, but those people became even more brazen and started raiding our house to take whatever they wanted as if they owned the place.
I had to pull a gun on them before they stopped.
I have to go out and escape death narrowly everyday fighting with zombies and other survivors just to get those supplies, then someone comes in here like they own the place and takes those things away.
I couldn’t stand it anymore and threatened to shoot them. They tried to morally and emotionally blackmail me with a sob story about them being my relatives but I told them that the only blood relationship I recognize now was that of my father and mother.
