Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 411: Leaving Jiang Xixi Behind
I will not recognize any other person and if they challenged my bottom line, I would shoot.
They took it as a joke and that woman who kept asking for beauty products and even snuck into my bedroom and took some showed up here to take more.
Moreover, they don’t seem to understand that these things are in limited quantity now since there is no more production. They use everything as if they have a factory at home.
I couldn’t stand it anymore when I found that woman in my bedroom again rampaging through my stuff.
She had a bag filled with the beauty and hygiene products you had given me before.
That was my last straw. I didn’t say anything. I just picked up my gun and shot that woman’s hand that was picking my stuff.
I want to see if she will dare to come here again to take my things.
They haven’t come into the house to take anything again but every day they would show up at our door to cause trouble saying that I hurt their daughter and our family should compensate them.
Mom and dad had wanted to give them some medicine to avoid trouble, but I said no.
It was because they had indulged those people in the name of being relatives and not wanting to cause trouble but those people became entitled instead.
My parents are worried because of the commotion they cause everyday when they come to our door." Feng Tu was so angry when she narrated what had happened but Chu Miao was surprised that the girl actually had the guts to shoot someone.
That was something she hadn’t expected at all. This was no longer the timid and shy Feng Tu who was even afraid of befriending her.
"Why didn’t you come to the Garden community when that happened? Didn’t I tell you to move there if you wanted to?" Chu Miao didn’t understand why Feng Tu hadn’t moved her family.
"I thought that you might have gone to the safe base and I heard that apart from those wealthy people and leaders, other people’s living conditions aren’t good there.
The place is crowded and lacks the most basic amenities. Moreover, if you want to get a decent house there, you have to pay fifty kilograms of rice, five kilograms of sugar, a kilogram of salt, and twenty liters of water.
These might not have been anything before the apocalypse, but now they could feed a family of three for a few months.
Moreover, you also have to provide one hundred crystal cores every month as rent. That means you have to go hunt zombies outside whether you are able to or not or use supplies to exchange for crystal cores with others.
That place will drain people of their resources and leave them starving. If you can’t afford those things, you have to live in tents packed in a small area literally creating a slum.
There is not enough water to cook and drink let alone bathe and clean clothes and other things.
You can imagine a place packed with people who go for months without a shower, clean clothes, or cleaning anything else.
It’s not any different from a dumpster filled with people. The kind of contagious diseases that could crop out of there are unimaginable.
How could we go there? I was planning to come to the Garden community to see if you were still there in two days so that we can move there and leave these people here if possible.
Now that I know that you guys are still there, then we can move without scruples." Feng Tu explained what had happened to her friend.
She was glad she finally had someone to share her feelings with.
As they were talking, Mother Feng had already served tea for everyone and some biscuits on the table.
These had been found by Feng Tu on one of her hunting trips. She had come back with two boxes and they had been saving them and only eating very few every few days.
Now that they had a distinguished guest, there wasn’t any skimping.
"Why don’t you guys pack your stuff and come with me today? I have an armored car anyway and we don’t have to worry about our safety on the way.
Besides, I am not in a hurry, I can wait for you guys to pack." Chu Miao didn’t think that there was any use delaying the inevitable.
Since they were thinking of moving, they might as well do it.
"That’s a good idea. My parents are the ones who were a little reluctant because they don’t know the condition of where we would go next, but now I think it’s perfect." Feng Tu didn’t even consult her parents because she didn’t want them to procrastinate and get taken advantage of by those blood-sucking relatives.
Feng Tu had grown a lot in the last few months. She was no longer the weak-willed girl. She had become strong and decisive.
"Alright, we will go and pack everything." Mother Feng also thought that they had burdened her daughter with those relatives and if they could leave, then it was better.
"What about those teammates of yours?" Chu Miao still remembered how Feng Tu had fought with a team of another four people.
"Can they come too?" Feng Tu asked excitedly.
She hadn’t expected that her teammates could go too.
"Of course they can. That is strength that can help in fighting zombies and returning humanity to its earlier civilization. How can we despise them?" Chu Miao was surprised by her friend.
But then she saw Feng Tu’s face turn red from blushing and knew that there was more to the teammates, or at least, one of the teammates than meets the eyes.
"That’s great. I will go and inform them so that we can leave together. But that Jiang Xixi won’t be going with us, that traitor." Chu Miao didn’t ask what the traitor had done, she just nodded her head and Feng Tu disappeared like the wind in a second.
